I think we have a good idea on who is leaning where. Hunter- likely staying put

Juan- staying

KJ- Staying

Kevin- out of eligibility

Furphy- 70/30 is what I’m hearing about him staying

Timberlake- out of eligibility

Elmarko- portal

Mari- Portal

Braun- out of eligibility

Zach- portal, silly to waste him because he’s better than Braun but it was an agreement between him and Self he would be redshirted, then leave.

We know this team will look completely different next season. Hopefully for the better, the best case scenario is to find a few shooters in the portal with whom we have already signed. I still think playing 4 out 1 in we could look at lot like the good teams with doke at center.

@drgnslayr lmao you must not have seen my ranting and raving after losing to them in both football and basketball in games we should have won. I’m a realist and I don’t sugar coat stuff. If we play bad I call it out.

@Texas-Hawk-10 For sure, they both bring to up at times but Shead is more a passer for sure. I’ve only watched. A few Houston games. They both are great guards no question.

Would probably help us if ISU won tonight in terms of seeding for the conference tournament. Crazy to think we could finish outside the top 5 in conference for the first time in B12 history and probably back to the early 80s. I’m disappointed in how many streaks have ended between this teams loses and the vacated 2018 season.

@Gorilla72 Cryer is an unbelievable PG, passing or shooting both can be great. Few are good at both Kolek for Marquette is arguably the best in the land this season averaging 15 and almost 8 assists while shooting 40% from 3. Some Juan’s problem is our lack of consistent shooters, I really thought he could be a 10 and 10 type of guy if he was aggressive enough. If him and Hunter are both returning we have to get guys that can shoot the ball at the 2 and 3 spot. Then we will be very dangerous.

@drgnslayr most of those preseason awards won’t stick and I highly doubt they have more than one player on first team after the seasons over. Do you know how awards work? You don’t get them for preseason bud. I’ll ask again next much position is KU the best in the country at?

@drgnslayr preseason awards? They don’t mean squat and being one of the best in the conference doesn’t make you the he best in the world at what you do like some of the chiefs players. There isn’t a player on this roster any is #1 in the country at what they do. I like your optimism but I don’t see that in he slightest with this group not to go full blown KUballing10 here lol.

@approxinfinity Kevin is a big key to This team but I’m worried with all the side show stuff that has came out about his parents not wanting him to play and such. Do we really have to go to Houston Saturday?

The key for this team is valuing the basketball and guarding at a high level. Last night offense looked solid even with us missing a ton of bunnies. We took care of the ball ( 6 turnovers) and made shots a D1 basketball team should make from distance (6/13 from 3). Defense was good for most of the second half, they added some late 3s and easy points again the scrubs, I think we held them to 12 points for the first 11 minutes of the second half before we got a little less aggressive with a 28 point lead.

KSU is not a good team but blow outs like this haven’t come often this year. I’m still very worried going forward but need to be happy with tonight’s performance

Hunter couldn’t hit the ground with his hat in 3 tries but worked hard on the glass could easily get 20 boards tonight

It’s amazing how much better we look hitting shots when no one is within 15 feet of us

@Jayblaze Juan has 4 points and 2 assists playing most of the half while Elmarko has 3 and 1 playing for just a few minutes.

We may have had 60 point if we could make a shot within 3 feet
