We go as Juan goes. Good Juan = W and bad = L.

Their board is talking about how he’s weak with the ball, not a good on ball defender and their guards can take advantage of him.

They are partially right in their analysis. Juan isn’t that quick laterally and he isn’t strong with the ball (it’s not like steph curry on a string) but his 7 foot reach or whatever it is makes up for it with reach in steals and deflected passes.

Hunter, KJ, Kev will all do their thing but it hinges on our Veteran guard.

Be nice to see Elmarko get 10 or Furphy see some shots go down….I think those two step up and aren’t afraid of the bright lights.

I also think uk’s guards won’t be afraid of the bright lights either. These guys plays big games in aau ect them playing tonight isn’t some entirely new atmosphere

@BShark Yeah furphy and Braun need to be first off the bench. Jamari honestly should next and Timberlake spot minutes until he proves something.

He had a legit dunk or two last year and we thought he was more athletic than he appears to be

@wissox I know that was crazy! He’s not supposed to do that but supposedly there was another angle the refs missed which clearly showed it. Insane he’s an alumni of the team it hurt lol

@stoptheflop Correct - Bradshaw and big O are hurt for a few more weeks so we aren’t playing them at full strength which sucks.

If he learns to attack some he will be a huge asset.

Also, can someone tell Hunter after you hit 1-2 threes to then pump fake, drive and either hit the floater, dunk it or if KJ’s man comes to help it’s a lob all day.

We could legit have Jokic type and I clearly overreacted to the exhibitions as we looked awful but granted our competition these last two games is bad

According to our favorite commentator Franny he said Baylor was the best and deepest team he visited before the season.

Baylor looked good and man Auburn always gets athletes and little quick guards. That Holloway kids is gonna be a stud.

My 1 gripe is Juan has to look to score. He can’t be facilitator Juan against legit competition and needs to practice now

Finally got to watch the game….
Juan was not aggressive and turned it over 4 times.

Couldn’t throw a simple entry pass to Hunt first 3 minutes and dribbled it off his foot

2 are pro’s and one bill thinks is Stockton and geez he’s got poor talent evaluation at times

@BShark I didn’t act like we’d miss the tourney but whoever brought up the Dedric team isn’t far off. This team is better than that but if you can’t shoot you ain’t going that far because we don’t have the athletes to be some elite defensive team

@COHawk Juan is a great kid but he ain’t that. Ur asking him to be Frank or devontae and he doesn’t have even half of their offensive skill set.

Juan is the hockey assist, pass it around the perimeter guy, and gets the nice assist in transition but he’s the most overhyped player from Bill I’ve ever seen. Traylor and Morningstar have been surpassed.

This team needs a Frank not a Juan.

Bill was enamored with Hunter and I read in here we’d run plays like for Jokic and lol that’s comical now. Tough to do when u got 4 other dudes who can’t shoot and no one guards out to the three point line they just sag in the paint and dare us to go 4/21

@BShark This is my proof we ain’t got the horses. Can’t just roll it out and get buckets. Bill can call every set he wants but they don’t always work and guys just have to make plays.

Uconn had athletes and shooters and could flat out play.

We got 1 shooter who’s a possible starter but can’t guard worth crap and then everyone else is lucky if they are 30-32%.

I’m starting to see how Michigan was so bad with Hunter. He puts up the stats but when u go watch their ncaa tourney game he is a poor athlete and awful defender.

With Doke we had legit defense his last year because he was such a beast. Hunter can’t get more than 2 inches off the floor and is so slow side to side we can’t stop a fringe top 25 team from scoring at will or having open shots all game

@wissox Nah national title team I was on Remy over Juan which proved true but Dave completely smacked me in the face. I liked David the person but as a player felt he held us back. Man he couldn’t have proved me more wrong all while on a bum wheel.

Self builds the team in just grading out what we are seeing and so far beating in state commuter school by 18 and the Illini game is atrocious.

Anyone want to call me out on my thoughts that uk will beat us?

When ur pg can’t shoot and doesn’t look to score, ur 2 guard can’t guard or shoot, your 4 man can’t do anything but dunk and floaters and ur 5 is lallygagging up and down the floor every possession along with being a volume James harden type scorer….u ain’t any good

The second turd bucket was kicked off I knew this was a problem and Bill’s interview last week confirmed it even more.

@BeddieKU23 I think the issue is we don’t have guys who can go “get theirs” when they need to. Arkansas has guys who can make plays, other top teams as well. We had that with Jalen last year but we don’t have it this year.

Guards win in March and we don’t have the guards.
