@approxinfinity Screw ice fishing, if that's what you mean! For me, to get on the water with my boat, it's got to be at least 60. To fish from shore - about 50, as long as it's not windy.

@approxinfinity I like to catch ANYTHING! We normally fish for walleye, white bass and striper. But carp and drum are really fun to catch too. Fishing is one of the hobbies I'd do every day if I lived somewhere that would support that.
I've fished a lot in my life and carp (while frowned upon by many) are among the most fun to catch. They are fast and full of fight. I've used worms, liver (which gets snatched up by catfish a lot) and corn. I've also mashed up cereal with honey and made kind of a dough ball. Carp are not so picky.
@approxinfinity Loved Goliath and Landman - both with Billy Bob Thornton. Just started Paradise on Hulu - not bad so far.

@SlimShaddy54 You know why we're spoiled? Because KU has spoiled us. We have more "flags" flying than the U.N. Building. I haven't called for Self's head (good thing, because I'm sure "they" would listen to me), but I'm tired of being mediocre the past couple of years. I like being spoiled.
@AsadZ I think we should strive for OL's who are 6'7 and weigh 338 lbs. That seems to work well for the Eagles. Then even a dainty little thing like PM could sneak for a one yard first down or touchdown.
@Kcmatt7 I feel like he's hanging on because it's expensive to put in new countertops and re-pave the driveway. Wants to save for a nice vacation with the wife. Needs to pay off the car. You know, he's just a regular guy like the rest of us.
@Kcmatt7 it's like K-Stater's calling for Bill Snyder's head. ( I don't know if they did or not...just an example). That dude single handedly resurrected Purple Football from an absolute death sentence and made them consistently respectable. IMO it's in line with what Self has done with KU Basketball. Self is not MY problem with KU Basketball right now. It's the F-ing portal. It's the NIL. I know I've harped on it a lot, but it bugs the crap out of me. I want 4 year players who play for the love of the game and not for God only knows how much pay they get for doing a Ford commercial.
Self is not the (only) problem. They players have to play. Any guy that does THIS - should not have to answer to fans about his performance:
He has two national championships, 20 regular season conference titles, nine conference tournament championships and the most wins of any coach in Kansas history.
@StLJhawk One difference being that the Chiefs have won consistently for at least 3 years (although not convincingly this year) and KU has sucked bathwater for 2+ years.

Fair Weather Fan
I would imagine that's how some folks react when I talk about doing other things besides watching KU Basketball. I wasn't always this way. You know, having peace and normal blood pressure...
From childhood I've had an extreme case of Crimson and Blue Fever. The only antidote is getting older (and more cowbell). I recorded every game (yep - VHS) and watched each one multiple times. I missed birthday parties and many other social activities to stay home and watch KU Basketball. My house looked like a Shrine to all things KU.
As I've been getting older, it just makes sense to me to make good use of my time. To have fun or be productive. My TV is still still set to record the games, but once I've seen that we lost. I don't need to watch. I'll still watch a little bit on a Tuesday night or whatever, but I've taken back my Saturdays - and I love it!
You younger guys and gals that are so passionate about KU - I 100% get it. Been there, done that. But the portal, the NIL and the frequent losses have ruined it for me.
