Kansas football just can't have nice things. The defense was generally bad today. Can't even suck it up with 1:45 left on the clock and let Cincy go the distance.
That goal line fumble was a comedy. All i want is a stinking bowl game! jeez.

KU/Bearcats • Sep 27, 2025 04:48 PM

Uh oh. The defense isn’t awake yet.

Yea, rookie mistake. Timing.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 22, 2025 02:24 AM

I think we struck maybe not gold but at least bronze with WR Thornton.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 22, 2025 01:32 AM

I think the rookie CB No 20 is having issues today.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 22, 2025 01:26 AM

The chiefs are on Valium or something. So lackadaisical.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 22, 2025 01:24 AM

Hard not to enjoy watching Skattebo play.

He’s like a Pacheco with better vision?

2025 Chiefs • Sep 22, 2025 12:50 AM

Weird game for me.
I grew up a Giants fan on the east coast.
Maybe not too weird since I quickly became a KC fan after moving to Kansas in my mid teens way too many moons ago.

Beat the Hillbillies • Sep 21, 2025 12:36 AM

Uh, why didn't they kick a field goal on that fourth down???

I am BBQing, so not watching entirely at this point. Did i miss something?

I'm gonna give Chernobyl a go. Is it all doom and gloom (duh).

I think @kjayhawks the main thread of this conversation seems to be about how troubling it is that the federal government is perhaps overstepping its authority and using the threat of government action on what should qualify as free speech.

We can all have our opinions on what Kimmel said, fine. It's not about him or other people getting fired for their words. That's not really the point here.

But, when the Trump administration punishes broadcasters just because he feels their comedic bits don't match with his opinion ... well, that's censorship. A serious violation of our civil liberties.

What or who is next???? scary

Hmmm. I did reboot the HBOMax subscription not too long ago, but having second thoughts about sticking with it.

I admit that i really enjoyed two of their documentaries: Chimp Crazy and The Mortician. Crazy. I watched the latest Righteous Gemstones as well. That had its moments, but seemed a bit over the top -- if that's possible -- this season.

There don't seem to be too many new or worthwhile shows to watch that suit my tastes. What am i missing?

I am not a Euphoria kinda guy. Sooo depressing.

The old comedies like Veep and Silicon Valley are still top notch to rewatch, but what have they offered since then? I'm not finding squat worth squat. I see no classics.

Do they make comedies any more??

Season 1 of Eastbound and Down is good

Yup, that’s a good one. I like all those Danny shows.
I guess that’s kinda my point with HBOMax…they have some great history, but is there a new show worth watching?

@rockchalkjayhawk if you like cozy murder mysteries theres an endless supply of them with a britbox subscription, i am at this moment watching an episode of Ludwig.

Ahh, nice. My wife loves the cozy, non violent English mysteries on PBS. So maybe that’ll do the trick. Thx @approxinfinity !

This is very unlike me, but I just cancelled Disney owned ESPN+ and sent them a note about the freedoms of democracy.

I’ll share one sports-themed sentence in my note, then I’ll shut up:

Next thing you know Dick Vitale will be “pre-empted” for supporting any university during a broadcast that Trump has sued.

Not paying for ESPN this year • Sep 18, 2025 05:09 AM

I’m with ya @approxinfinity

I am growing weary of all this Trump-related censorship.

If you’re curious, Disney owns these assets:

ABC, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Hulu, ESPN, FOX, FUBO, and of course all the theme parks.

Not paying for ESPN this year • Sep 18, 2025 04:55 AM

I was just being silly in my reply… of course it’s Kimmel related.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 16, 2025 09:33 PM

Ha, what do i know!!??

i was just reading a story about the Chiefs and their offensive woes, and of course they blame Noah Gray for some of the faulty plays!

2025 Chiefs • Sep 16, 2025 06:54 PM

Poor Chiefs. They need to figure out a way to win despite the missing pieces they are dealing with.

A simple way is to get the ground game going. But, that seems like a long shot. The Chiefs have ranked basically middle of the pack or worse in the last five years in yards per game. None of the RBs on the roster seem exceptional.

The Chiefs are all about Mahomes. And if he's missing toys to play with, maybe a new offensive game plan is in order.

If receiving options are limited, I'd like to see them use Noah Gray more at the very least. he seems to come through when needed.

Sadly i can't recall who came off the bench!

@rockchalkjayhawk I don’t know that I’ve seen anything from Hollywood in his career that makes me think of a deep guy. He can be useful in the slot and underneath with the guys around him. He has had trouble staying healthy and hasn’t ever been a number 1 guy IMO. If not mistaken he’s in his 7th year and only played 2 complete seasons. One of those years he barely got over a 1k yards with 1,008. Just not a go to guy to me.

Yea, i'm pretty sure that was the intent when signing him. For the deep ball. Apparently Lamar wasn't very accurate with the deep toss, so maybe that's why he never seemed a huge threat with his speed and supposed ability to separate. Nor was Kyler Murray.

Anyways, i think with all the weird injuries on the Chiefs and his other teams, he's never really fulfilled that spot very well.

I hope when the Chiefs have a full compliment of WRs he can step into that role sometimes.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 15, 2025 01:24 AM

@kjayhawks said in 2025 Chiefs:

@SlimShaddy54 the chiefs have zero threat at WR without Worthy and Rice. The truth be told even with them healthy that ain’t a top 15 receiver room in the NFL. I’d take Miami, Dallas, Philly, Baltimore, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Denver, LA both clubs, Green Bay’s receiver room over KCs all day every day. The problem is it’s been the same problem for the last few seasons and it hasn’t ever been really addressed. Smith fighting and making that catch on 3rd and 10 was a huge play and one that I haven’t seen a KC receiver make since Hill was on the team. That ball should’ve been picked

Hollywood was supposed to be our quick guy. our deep threat. what happened to that? Is he just having to play out of position with all our injuries?

2025 Chiefs • Sep 14, 2025 10:39 PM

Some other dudes got hurt today as well, right? WR room is a mess.

@kjayhawks said in 2025 Chiefs:

Like I just told my son, the run is going to end at some point. Kelce/Jones are old and just not the players they once were. The O-line is average on the best day and the defense is much of the same.

I think the Eagles are just a better team. So, not predicting the end just yet. Other than the drop, no complaints about Kelce today. If he doesn't drop it, we're in the lead.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 14, 2025 09:56 PM

Did Mahomes shrink in the offseason? He’s had his share of batted down passes this year.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 14, 2025 09:52 PM

Jeez. Not sure why u give up points like that. Weird call to go for it.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 14, 2025 07:03 PM

Ugh, this isn't gonna end well for Worthy.

Specifics on Worthy’s injury had not surfaced until Sunday, but NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports the Kansas City wideout is battling a fully torn labrum. Rather than undergo surgery, Worthy will attempt to play through the injury by using a harness.

@Jhawk69 Would you qualify any of these guys as PFs? They were pretty goood :)

What about Wayne Simien? Darnell Jackson? Julian Wright?

Finally got to watch the US vs South Korea.

Another ugly performance unfortunately. People are now calling for Poch to get the axe!

Poch seems busy experimenting with players. But at some point you need to look good and win games.

Ha, what a struggle I had last night trying to watch a replay of the game on YouTube after work — without seeing the score!

But the real laughable part Was that after I gave up searching around, I went back to my YouTube TV service, and BAM, they must have aired the game live! Ha, after all that, go figure.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 06, 2025 08:02 AM

Dang, that was generally unpleasant to watch.

I’ve pretty much had enough of No. 74 already.

I was pretty pissed at Kelce after just a few plays, too (his TD later made up for it). First he seemed to be a lazy ass and missed a key block on the outside that could have been a huge play for the Chiefs. Then he obviously nearly broke Worthy in half. I hope it’s not a season ender.

Are we already at that point where we have to score 30+ to win? Ugh.

Yea, it’s just regular YouTube. Free to the world.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 03, 2025 08:15 PM

Just in case anybody needs the info (like me!)

The full game will likely be available for replay on the official NFL YouTube channel shortly after it concludes.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 03, 2025 12:46 AM

No subscription required. It’s free to all. A first I think. But as a west coaster, I’ll still be working when it starts. So hoping to watch the game in its entirety somehow.

2025 Chiefs • Sep 02, 2025 11:06 PM

Anybody know if the Chargers game on YouTube will replay on YouTube soon after?
I can't watch live, so want to see what options i may have.

Ding ding ding!

Aaron Miles for the win.

All good guesses, but nope!

Think early 2000s, and he played with his good buddy, and is now a coach in the pros.
