KU guards still giving the 3 pt shooters way too much space. KU really doesn't defend the 3 in the first half; the only defense is the 70% chance the shooter misses.

Lots of Big 12 games today, but not easy to view. W Virg/Tx 11am on ESPNU; Baylor/I St. 1pm ESPNU and KSt/Ok 7pm on ESPNU. So I guess ESPNU is the channel to have today.
Jayhawks v. George Mason is on ESPN+, which I'm glad I broke down and paid for during football season. KU is a 19.5 favorite and GM lost to Nevada recently 88-69. So, is anyone worried KU takes these guys too lightly? The starting 5 are all seniors and juniors. I saw some grumbling about season ticketholders having to buy tickets for today's game. Bad weather and students off campus may result in a quiet AFH. My new year's wish is for another offensive show like the Nevada game. RC.

Dave is just not a steady enough player for our 1 big offense. I don't know if its the low end of his numerology sequence, his pre-game meal or whatever, but he only plays well about every third game. Dave, KU needs you to play well every game. 2 fouls in the first 2 minutes? Our opponents seem to have a plethora of athletic bigs. Why isn't KU getting more of these athletic 6'9" players?
Mitch was fine last night and Clemence will help next year. But, Dave's 0 rebs, 2 points in 10 minutes just doesn't work for this team. I was sadly impressed with the SFA's players in the paint. Why aren't those type of players coming to KU?
The six million dollar team (Steve Austin) was really scrappy on defense. Nice test for KU.

Zags v. Tex. Tech at noon Saturday on CBS should be fun. Its played in Phoenix so Zags have to play a road game against a decent opponent. ESPN has the Zags favored by 8.5, but I'll be rooting for the Big 12. No one may say the Zags are still playing a soft schedule: Duke, UCLA and Alabama.
Braun has been the best surpise for me this year. I love his aggressive play and his fearless drives to the rim. I worry that Wilson and Martin are content to let Braun and Agbagi take the lead on scoring. Wow, Harris's 13 yesterday was a great surprise. I hope he continues to look to score since the defense is leaving him unguarded.
This will be a fun Sunday: Raiders always play their best games against the Chiefs. KC is a 9.5 point favorite but I expect it to be closer unless the receivers finally stop dropping passes. With the Patriots off this week, KC needs help to get the No. 1 seed. Hoping the Browns beat the 8/4 Ravens; Giants over the 7/5 Chargers in SoFi (unlikely); and I hate to do it but rooting for the Bucs to beat the 7/5 Bills in Tampa. Probably no reason to hope the Jags beat 8/4 Titans in Nashville.

The Mizzou game is one that we just can't afford to lose. Its a must win for the dignity of KU's program. When I consider rivals, like KState, I would rather lose to KState than Mizzou. I would rather lose to Kentucky, NC or Duke than Mizzou. Saturday is a must win. RC
