Other than 6 rebounds, name one other thing Jalen Wilson has done that shows he deserves to be playing.
The dick Mike Anderson spends his time with both feet on the floor just like the jerk Bruce Weber. No calls against him by refs.
SJ shooting ``9/37 from the field. KU 24/50. That's not going to get a W.
@Kcmatt7 I was really hoping to get Coach Manning back here. Our bigs played much better when he was an assistant.
Oh yeah, when the light are bright in the new arena, Champagnie has 1 FG and 2 FTs. What's up New York.
At least Dave is playing with big energy. 11 pts. 8 rbs. Wow. Keep it going big guy.
I say more playing time for the starters in the second half, no Wilson and more Clemence since Lightfoot has 3 fouls. Reserves just aren't helping tonight.
Good grief, Jalen Wilson just sucks right now. He doesn't deserve much playing time.
Weird, Ochai jumped center. Not even close
Wow, Dave came to NY to play.
So who guards Champagnie? Wilson or Braun? Does Coach do anything besides man to try to slow him down?
It takes me until January to get over an early season loss. Jeez, a couple more FTs was all it would have taken.
Dave looks like his old self at the FT line. Way to go
I'm unpleasantly surprised by Wilson's slow start. He's getting a lot of minutes and not scoring much
If Devin Neal was healthy vs. TCU and W.V. we had a great chance to win those games. W. V. had 261 rushing to our 87.
So, we have a few pieces of the puzzle to be competitive with the bottom tier of the league. That is a step in the right direction. I hope Coach Leipold and staff mature and stop feeling they have to gamble on fourth down in our own territory. Maybe better punting and a better defense will solve the gambling problem. Clearly, there is more optimism with the direction of the football program now than with Miles or Beaty. Thanks to my fellow KU Football posters for your thoughts and comments this year. I do enjoy the information and comaraderie we share here.
A lot of fight in our guys
Wow 47 again. We found a star
Looks like we really miss Neal.
Don't love the trick play either
Decent first possession. Come on now defense
McCormack's offensive charge about the one minute mark really shows a lack of coaching or a lack of understanding by him. Dave was double teamed and should know by now for goodness sake that he needed to pass the ball out. Everyone should have been looking to Ochai during crunch time; certainly not Dave.
11 KU bench points again in the first half. Dayton will wear down in the second half
Dickie V stroking Dayton about the loss of the opportunity to play in the NCAA tourney; not one mention that KU had a pretty decent team too that was denied the opportunity. Jackasses.
Why are our guards setting up beyond the NBA 3 pt line? They'd be open at the regular 3 pt line.
Clemence with the freshman mop of hair. Remember Braun's freshman mop. Gosh I miss having hair.
Wilson and the bench haven't scored in a long while
But for the Crimson & Blue fans, the game would feel like a covid-no fans game.
Prison Mitch taking no prisoners
Punting stinks too: 2 punts only 30 yds on each.
Trying too hard and too obviously to pass to Casey.
I really appreciate what Devin Neal is bringing to his hometown team. RC
Good lord Braun can jump.. Lets see more of that
@FarmerJayhawk Hyperbole
Has Remy played himself back to the bench?
Dave has always had a sweet stroke on the line, but not so much this year
Dave thinks he's a guard
KU is only 2/10 from 3. Got to improve fellas
That's no ford Bobby; that's a Pettiferrari
@KirkIsMyHinrich Remy missing too. At least on the score board
I like it: 17 min into the half and 0 free throws
Gotta get Remy going.
KU left the shooter open again. Not since I coached 5th grade basketball have I seen a defender leave the man with the ball to guard someone else, leaving the shooter open. Jeez
Sunday morning QBing here, but what the hell was Leipond doing going for 4th and one with the ball on our 34 or thereabouts? I was left following the game on ESPN's gamecast, so I couldn't follow the game well. But, KU was ahead by one or two TDs at the time, KU was stopped on 3rd and 1 and a punt would have forced Tx to run several more plays to try score at a time KU was trying to run out the clock. Maybe I've got the situation wrong; my memory is that after the turnover on downs Tx then got an unsportsman like penalty that pushed the ball out to the 50, but scored very quickly. Being aggressive is only good if it works. Here it didn't work and gave Tx a much shorter field at a time our defense was exhausted and not playing well. Anyone else dissapointed with Vernon's punting? He only averaged 38 yrds yesterday. That seems too short for a D1 punter, especially when one punt was 47 yds. I'll hang up now and listen on line. JK
Wow great win
TD in OT. Go for 2?
@Texas-Hawk-10 Timme 9/10 and 22 pts. first half.
Since when does a coach with a weak offensive line think it's smart to go for it on 4th down in their own territory?
Tarleton only has 5 TOs to our 11. WTHeck
DMac with only 4 pts. Harris 0
Anyone else pissed we can't slow down the only two Texans that can score? Maybe we aren't trying
