Serious question: does marketability factor into NBA draft rank? I think #12 is high for Ochai, but boy is he a well-spoken, intelligent, likeable dude. He could do wonders for the PR of any team he is with and they would be fortunate to have him.
Does anyone remember when the producers of Monday Night Football brought in comedian Dennis Miller to be a color guy? They thought his quick wit and somewhat irreverent approach would be great entertainment for viewers. Not long after, he was told to tone it down and not speak so much, pretty much negating the entire point of bringing him into the booth in the first place.
This is kind of how I feel about the Remy situation with Self. Why bring in this charismatic, free-wheeling shooter then force him to play within a system that pretty much neuters his strengths? I get that Self is a defense-first guy, but you have to let guys be who they are to some degree.

Totally agree and that was sort of what I was trying to illustrate - that we all have protections under the Constitution, but here we have a slow, and highly suspect, bureaucratic governing body with no checks and no balances that can essentially operate as they see fit with no repercussions. They pick winners. They pick losers. And they have no willingness to apply rules fairly across the board. The NCAA is starting to make the IOC look like choir boys.
Enough is truly enough. Just make a decision so we can move forward - whatever direction that takes us.

Yes, but my feeling is KU, like the rest of us, are sick to death of the foot-dragging on the part of the NCAA/IARP.
Even murderers and other scofflaws have the right to a fair and speedy trial under the 6th amendment to the Constitution. I would submit this charade has been neither fair, nor speedy and we are being held in a perpetual state of incarceration.
@mayjay can probably chime in more on the legal aspects of this stuff, but from where I sit we are being treated worse than most criminals.

Admittedly, I've not been a big fan of Wilson's. Something about his demeanor makes him seem sullen and detached. And while it was nice to see him make some shots, his showing the other night is still an outlier in my book, until he proves he can string some good games together.
Hate to be so negative, but if he is to return to the starting line-up it is only because some of the others have played so poorly of late, not because Wilson necessarily earned it with a single decent performance.

Agreed. I know @BShark was high on this guy from the start and in the limited time I've watched him, I think he has "it". Every move seems to have a purpose and he seems to ooze confidence. It just feels like something good is going to happen whenever he touches the ball. Looking forward to getting him back and giving us that spark we've been missing.
