@jaybate-1.0 I think Composite 3 actually got 3 blocks (2 by Mick, 1 by Diallo), which wasn't too bad. I loved how our 2 little guards each got a block!

Note that Ellis only played 26 minutes, so Composite 3 played 1.35 positions during the game, elevating all those numbers by a third over a 40-minute player. Diallo didn't pick up his first foul until under 3 minutes left in the game, which quite surprised me. His 4 turnovers were all late in the second half, too. But you're absolutely right, when the guards hit 8/10 threes in the first half that certainly makes things easier for the bigs underneath.

That 1957 championship game was one of the greatest ever played. It's painful to read about for KU fans, even for those of us who weren't born yet. But what a story for any basketball fan. It's a big part of NCAA lore. Would be a shame to lose that.

Wilt brought a lot of attention and exposure to our school. He's one of the greats, and the rules changes brought about just because of his tremendous athletic ability are fantastic to comprehend. Not to mention what he meant to civil rights in Lawrence. I'll take Wilt and a national championship NEXT year.

@HighEliteMajor Embiid was raw when he arrived at KU. He learned so fast we forget how clueless he looked in his first exhibition game. He was just brilliant, a basketball savant, soaking up knowledge and not making the same mistakes from one game to the next, after he was taught. He wasn't expected to be a One&Done when he arrived. He grew into that. Not to argue with your premise - just that Embiid was atypical, an outlier, probably not an example of a typical one&done because he started out so raw and learned so fast.

Selden played 40 minutes. Pretty hot and humid in Maui. Guess I can forgive the missed free throws at the end. He was tired.

@Lulufulu That would certainly be a bold move! Question, is a vacated win considered a loss, or is it as if the game were never played? E.g., if Diallo had played against Mich St and we won, and the NCAA found him ineligible before he played another game and vacated that win, would our record be better than it is now? Instead of 1-1 would we be 1-0?

Just thinking about risk assessment. If he's going to be the difference between a win and a loss, I'd play him. 2-0 is sure better than 1-1, but even 1-0 is better than 1-1.
