@Jethro Minor error, but I'm thinking Purdue with that great Carson Edwards team should have prevented Virginia from winning the national championship in the Elite 8. If you recall, Virginia got a game tying buzzer beater because two Purdue guys chased a ball downcourt leaving a Virginia guy open from about 15. He made a miracle shot and Virginia won in OT. If Purdue just stayed home on D there's no way Virginia pulls that off.

Edey was a pain in the Badgers side until last season when we beat purdue twice. Still not sure how, but defense, a Badger staple did the job.

Watching Texas. trying to understand their arena. It looked like lower level only was open for this game. But I couldn't quite figure it out. Announcers said they make more seats available for concerts and stuff. Couldn't figure it out.

@Crimsonorblue22 Funny, I didn't really predict what happened but I told a friend who had a Bama fan smack talking him that Bama was due a big loss.

@jayballer67 Without going back and checking Everyone (except purdue) it seems lost, but us losing 3 straight including the beatdown at home was my reasoning for why we maybe should be in the 10-15 range. I still think that's where we should be. Make them earn their way back towards the top...except did you see our schedule coming up? Goodness.

I think any of the six games we could lose, KState tomorrow, at ISU Saturday, Texas, at OKie and OkieSt, and finally home with Baylor. I mean I don't think we're going 0-6 but any of those six we could lose. We could find ourselves in the middle of February with a 4-6 record in our last 10 just by splitting the next 6 games.

Some strange results for sure. Glad the Big 12 wiped out the SEC for the last time. Especially when some of the top teams and programs lose like bama and tucky

@FarmerJayhawk What's hilarious is seeing Kentucky fans on twitter pissed at Udeh because he was, uh, IDK? Scoring, rebounding?? He only played a dozen minutes or so but they're mad at him.

@mayjay When a play happens, the Bengals get a stop, the punt unit is out for both teams, and the ref says, nope, sorry guys, we have to do it again, well the optics of it is just really bad. It reminded me of the OSU-Georgia game when the buckeyes earned a first down and the ref called a TO after the play had started.

Never one play true but a play that turns a 45 yarder into a 60 yarder is a very large mistake by the Cincy dude. I try to congratulate you all and get an argument!

Not a Chiefs fan but congrats to all of you who are! They might still be playing if that bengal dude hadn't lost his head and pushed the guy out of bounds.

@Jethro I can't find where you wrote about Rupps Rafters in full meltdown. I of course spend quite a bit of time at BuckysFifthQuarter and if you're not aware, they've lost 6 of 7. Injuries have been a major factor, but the talk is quite ugly there. Badgers have been good basically this entire century so fans have a certain sense of entitlement even in Madison.

The basic gist is Greg Gard needs to go. The other side says he's won 2 of the last 3 BIG championships, lost a guy to the NBA last year, graduated another couple of key pieces. Way too early to pull the plug is their reasoning. But it's pretty ugly, but not like Rupps Rafters. It's always hilarious when it's the 'enemy' melting down. But it's not as much fun when it involves the team you follow! Glad I still have the Jayhawks!

whoa, chiefs given a free play to sustain the drive. Cincy has right to be livid.

Without looking at other teams around us, I think we should be in the 10-15 range. Hard to say after losing 3 in a row, and getting blown out at home that we deserve a top 10. But there's also a lot of teams apart from Purdue that have suffered embarrassing losses as well.

First got to get this out of the way. Can refs count to three, as in when a big body is in the lane on offense you count to three and if he's still there blow the whistle and give the other team the ball. Oscar's a great player but he just camped in the lane tonight, would move to the edge of the lane, but never leaving. Goodness I was yelling the whole time.

Glad i watched the tape!! I know Kentucky is down this year but we needed this win in the worst kind of way.

Wilson was Wilson, and whereas the other day we were basically thinking only Jalen knew how to score the basketball, we rediscovered some shooters and scorers and rebounders and surprise surprise Udeh made some nice hustle plays keeping balls alive.

Back to refs. You just can't allow a foul count to get to 7-1 12 minutes into a half. Don't remember specifics except a moving screen that wasn't against Gradey. But wow, refs just don't like to reward our team with foul calls. 18-14 tonight against us. Sometimes when refs realize there's a discrepency they try to even things out and then piss off the other team.

Nice to see KJ Adams bounce back against a big team.

I'm feeling good about KState on Tuesday. I really don't think they're the #5 team in the country and I'm guessing we show them Tuesday that they're not.

Just read part of the game thread and I realize I wasn't the only one frustrated on the 3 seconds not being called.

A Purdue fan was kind of making fun of our team last night because of our 3 game losing streak. I said when you're the defending national champ who loses 4 key pieces, heck 5, lets throw Mitch in there!, you can expect a bit of a drop off.

Tomorrow, teams with length worry me. I'm worried. Going to need some good shooting from Gradey, stellar ball handling from DaJuan, Joe and Bobby gonna have to know their limitations, finding their moments. KJ gonna have to fix his mind again to be tough against their size. Keven is going to show why he's on the watch list for defensive player of the year. Udeh or Zuby or Zach going to have to decide to utilize their size and help this team out.

Go ahead rag on our point guard. He spectacularly led this team to a national championship. He's hit a bit of a wall here like everyone else besides Jalen but your estimation of how bad he's hurting this team is way off.

It's not as bad as a stick in the eye. We've been spoiled. Most teams go through this every season. At least your dog didn't run away. I've still got a buck 3 80 left in the bank. I'm really glad I checked here. I get pretty pissed after a loss like the other day and just slither away wallowing in my pity and not checking on the bucket. I had totally forgotten about this game tonight. Hopefully a 3 game losing streak isn't the result of tonights match.

Mental notes for surviving tonight.

1. Mute TV and sync radio call.

2. If you must listen to TV tweet at fran and his inane biasesness. Maybe he will get it.

3. Wear your championship T from 22, or 08, or 86. Might bring us some luck.

4. Keep telling yourself we're defending national champs and there's no shame in losing in the tourney this season.

5. Allow yourself to momentarily become @stupidmichael and say you're scared, and then pretend you're @dynomitehawk and yell "Hide Yo Kids" at the beginning of the game.

6. Tell a few jokes at the expense of KState.

7. Tell a few more jokes at the expense of Mizzou.

8. Check the all time victories list.

9. Yell "Serenity Now" when anything goes wrong.

10. Tweet at Bill Self and the players giving them some tips.

11. Gaze at whatever Jayhawk thing you have in the house and pray to it.

Games like this are only survivable as fans because we're the defending national champions.

We're a one man team today and TCU has decided not to let that man beat them today now. So essentially we're screwed. I don't see how we're coming back in this one. What's with all those empty seats behind the basket? Entire section is empty. Maybe that's the problem.

This TCU team reminds me of the way Baylor played when they started getting good.
