@dylans IDK! I haven't analyzed it that much. To me it looked like Lance being Lance with some trick play, it's a meaningless bowl game so who cares anyway type of thing. I do see your point.
@dylans Daniels threw for over 500 in that game, not sure about the QB getting hurt. Of course most of us thought he should have been the guy to keep the game going instead of Bean on the last play.

@FarmerJayhawk They scored 38 against Arkansas. Maybe Arkansas sucks so bad that BYU can have a bad offense and still score that many points, or maybe their offense doesn't suck. But our defense is nothing to brag about. I think this one is a toss up.

This is one of the more interesting matchups for KU in more than a decade really. The first Big 12 action for newcomers BYU and Cincy, and UCF later against Silo tech. Our first conference game after a successful non conf schedule. Two unranked but receiving votes type teams means it should be close. BYU fans talking smack on twitter citing their decades of football superiority as the reason why they'll smack us around the base of Mt. Oread. KU fans on the defensive reluctantly talking smack as we still try to decide if our team is really worth investing emotional energy on. Last years strange season was hope giving but also a boon for skeptics who pointed out the losing streak after starting 0-5. (they never really seemed to realize what happened to the team after Jaylon got injured).

I check boxscores of all former Jayhawks. Now I have one less place to look as Kelly has moved up the road to Philly and joined Joel on the 76ers. I hope this works out well for both.

I'm kind of pissed at Bill Self for messing with 'our' team like this. I really don't pay attention as much as many of you do, so I had zero clue that Arterio was such a troubled kid. I was excited watching one of the summer matches thinking this kid has some flair that's going to be fun to watch. About 5 days ago I see an instagram post supposedly quoting Bill Self saying this was his most talented team ever. Don't know if the quote was real or if he's still saying that, but our top 2 -4 preseason ranking might not be coming after this. I hope the young man gets help before things get worse for him.
@dylans The bright spot was there was some toughness in KU not flinching after several Nevada TD's in the 2nd half. Nevada tied it up at 17 and 2 plays later we were winning again. They then tie it at 24, and a pretty quick unchallenged drive down the field led to the final margin. Kicking game was really good as well.
@mayjay I heard it was pretty bad at Colorado. Yes, late nights, but at least it was on Saturday. But I get up for church so 7:30 wake up came pretty early!
