BASKETBALL BASKETBALL BASKETBALL BASKETBALL - PLEASE!
POLITICS AND RELIGION FOR OTHER PLACES -
BASKETBALL!
WE CAN BE UNCIVIL WITH EACH OTHER ABOUT BASKETBALL
Yesterday, Self was talking about his Big's, saying that each one has a different skill set but that no one has separated themselves from the pack. Against Fort Hays, each one had outstanding moments and each one showed an equal weakness.
Greely has a lower elevation than Denver but beautiful mountain sunsets.

Bill Kinney
Captain Sully
@brooksmd "The Mizzou campus has been rocked by a series of racial events that many have accused school leadership of allowing to go unexplained, under-investigated or both. In September, the student body president, Payton Head, who is black, was harassed near the campus and repeatedly called a "nigger." Eleven other students, members of the school's Legion of Black Collegians, were also called the slur by a white student, while campus security that witnessed the incident reportedly did nothing. In October, a swastika painted in human feces was found on a dorm wall."
Are you comparing all this to pink napkins? You're saying, if they can't handle racism, they shouldn't have gone to Missouri.
What does Fran know?
HEM knows that this was a lie intended to make the best player on the team quit shooting.
@JRyman sorry about my post, didn't see yours.
@HighEliteMajor "His game is not a Bill Self game." His game isn't too many great Coache's game, if he can't play defense.
He's already had one such surgery,

@nwhawkfan Rocky Rococo at your cervix.
@Crimsonorblue22 I win as the worst speller of Kansas towns - Pittsburg - (No H)
Hays (No E)
Three famous residents of Fort Hays Ks.

Greg Anderson - Trainer from BALCO Scandal that used a Hypo filled with steroids for Barry Bonds butt.
Sorry, I didn't scroll down far enough to see that this had already been discussed.
While driving home from work and listening to the pregame, Bob Davis said "Coach Self won't be able to join us for the pregame because he is in a meeting. I can't discuss it but it involves the eligibility of a player." Another off handed remark to put the mind wandering back and forth. Is this good? Is this Bad? NCAA, JUST MAKE UP YOUR MIND AND TELL US YES OR NO!!!!!
@Statmachine Do what I did these last two years. Go to a bar, buy a nacho platter and nurse a beer for as long as you can. Buffalo wild wing carries Time Warner everywhere.
@JRyman I used to be you two years ago. HEM is a joy to read. I really think that his basketball acumen is spot on. At first read, it seems he is attacking Jamari, but it has never been Jamari, it has always been Self and Self's inability to not want to lose a game. If a "Can't Miss Stud" goes back to the bench for a lack of energy, Jamari has always been the standard for the type of energy that Bill wants on the court. Jamari has been here 5 years and still he does not possess the basketball ability of others on this team with his height. The argument then from the anti Jamari's is that these younger studs need to stay on the court and Bill should sometimes lose to give the Skippy's time to play through their lack of understanding of what Bill wants. It is a conundrum and one that is always being argued about. This has been going on for a long time on this site and everyone knows I'm mostly always on the side of Bill Self. I agree that HEM is right about Jamari, but wrong about our Coach. Mostly, I just post pictures of what Jamari does for our team.

After reading HEM for the last 4 years, I might be wrong, I'm not sure , but I think some of his implications point to this man.
Direct tv was my favorite, sadly I left them to watch the Jayhawks after being blackmailed for being in close proximity to my favorite team.
@jaybate-1.0 Alexander "Sharkey" Sweatt. He grew up in Humboldt Ks. - Same place where Walter "Big Train" Johnson came from.
@jaybate-1.0 I've always thought you to be precocious.
According to KU Sports, it appears Jamari will come out of the blocks as a starter. let the barrage begin.
@Crimsonorblue22 ...and Gary Busey!
@Crimsonorblue22 Of course you know Fran who was married to both Kukla and Ollie.
@Crimsonorblue22 Sorry, The KC Monarch played in 3 Negro League
World Series. His name is Alexander "Sharky" Sweat. and the Chief Player is Kendall Gammon who played for the Gorillas. I'm not sure Sharky was allowed to attend Pittsburgh State. He did grow up in Pittsburgh. The person I left off this list from Pittsburgh was the BTK Killer.
Next Wednesday I'll be able to watch a KU preseason game without spending money in a Sports bar. With less than a week before we tip off, we, already know how good the Jayhawks are by their showing in the WUG against superior talent. What we don't know is --- How will Svi and Devonte do. It's been a long time since we've seen them on the squad. Will Bragg and Vick show us that they deserve minutes and finally, will Diallo be set free. Anyway, here's to the start of a great year.
Famous Alums.

I grew up in the Southwest portion of Missouri and in fourth grade I would get up in the morning at six and watch Popeye cartoons sponsored by Pittsburgh's own Bread Company "Town Talk Bread" featuring an old man named A.J. Crippe to tell all of us kids to eat A.J. Crippe's Town Talk Bread. In the evening, this show came on the tube.
Most of the people on this site remember the scandals that involved Northwestern and Tulane Point shaving. I'm old enough to remember the Kentucky point shaving scandal.
These new fantasy betting conglomerations have already gotten themselves into big scandals with what has become similar to insider trading. Referees, Assistant coaches and players, through proxy's, could easily be involved in a mortgage saving bet. http://www.complex.com/sports/2015/09/college-athletes-who-play-fanduel-and-draftkings-could-be-banned-for-a-year. ↗
All NCAA players found using any of these sites will be banned. Cheating and not getting caught in sports is part of the game, i.e. Kevin Young raising his hand when Jeff Withey was the one who made the foul. Even stealing signals in baseball or throwing a spitball is deemed ok if you get away with it.
Financial personal gain is another animal. Odds makers are always looking for the insider locker room secret that affects a game. Proxy betting by a wife or girlfriend of a referee, assistant coach who knows that an injury is being downplayed, or a big score by players who shave points to win by just enough or lose my just enough has just received a larger incentive to do so.
I know many on this site that have talked about winning and losing on KU games. I never want that to be my focus as a fan. I'm not opposed to any of the legit gambling (Oxymoron) on Basketball, but the level of anger after a loss should preclude you from ranting on KU Buckets and blaming everything on everyone involved. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
If gambling is needed to make Jayhawk basketball more interesting, so be it, but don't bet against them and pretend to be happy that you lost your money.
Tubby, God Bless him, somehow found his way down to Lubbock Texas. How do you recruit to a place that looks like the Lunar surface, 110 in the shade in the summer and frozen tundra in the winter. I've had some great steaks before games down there at Cagle's Steak House, "2 inches thick", but what else would be the selling point to Lubbock? Maybe tumbleweed?
I like it when Self refers to the Kansas City Royals by saying "WE". Self feels like KC belongs to KU. Why would Mizzou abandon Kansas City? I did like the billboards around KC saying "KC is Jayhawk country!"
I'm very appreciative of the Royals taking us into basketball season.
