It was a tweet by a fake Jon Rothstein (name was Jom instead of Jon) that stated Hunter was suspended for 3 games due to his shove in the game against Kansas City. WIBW picked it up like it was real, but quickly removed it after realizing they got played.
Actually the NCAA chose not to vote on the one time transfer rule until at least January 2021, so McClung will have to appeal to the NCAA for a waiver.

I really don't think there is anyone considering transferring at this point but you never know. What a kid says to a reporter, and what he actually heard and what the reporter actually heard, can be worlds apart. Probably more of a factor that Self has to account for not only graduation and NBA entrants, but also the possibility that someone may transfer (although at this point there is no indication of said transfer, but Self has been caught off guard before and is covering all his bases - type response to a recruit).
Additional info on Donovan Williams per Zagsblog:
https://www.zagsblog.com/2020/02/17/donovan-williams-says-six-schools-working-hardest-kansas-showing-interest/ ↗
Kansas became the latest school to reach out on Monday and will send an assistant to watch Williams on Tuesday.
“They said that they’ll probably have a few guys leaving next year with graduation, a couple to NBA and also transfers,” Williams said Monday. “So they really need a guy like me who can spread the floor and shoot the ball. They are looking forward to recruiting me and they’ll be at my game tomorrow.”
Although he has nothing set yet, Williams says he may visit Kansas in the near future.
“I don’t have any visits planned. I’m going to wait until the season is over,” he said. “Kansas wants me down on Feb. 24 against Oklahoma State so I might make that trip.”
FWIW another agreement by a sports media person that the punishment does not fit the "crime"
Also CBS's Matt Norlander didn't agree with the punishment"
CJ Moore of the Athletic (pay site) also believed it was way too harsh:

In fact, most of what I saw from the media and their reaction was the unfairness and blatant disregard for the student-athlete the NCAA continues to show.
I did not hear what Vitale said on air but he tweeted out that it was unfair to Silvio:

Seth Davis seems to be retracting his earlier stance on believing Silvio will be playing soon.
Just seems like the NCAA is prolonging this BS for no other reason than a power play. Give the kid an answer already!
I didn’t read it as retracting. There’s always a chance the NCAA declares him ineligible or suspends him the rest of the year. Langford should be back in the next few weeks.
Maybe so...just the way he was writing about it on The Athletic sure made it sound like Silvio would be playing this Sat. Maybe just my wishful thinking. ;(
The difference between Silvio and Hernandez is that Hernandez allegedly entered into the agreement himself, whereas Silvio reportedly did not know about the money received on his behalf. That may be the mitigating factor, but the NCAA is trying to look like they are hard-lining this "corruption" so who knows what they will do.

I am being cautiously optimistic here, but another poster on the Phog, who has some pretty solid connections, has also stated that good news regarding SDS should be coming within the next week or so. Fingers crossed.

@BShark I just tried like 20 combinations. Nothing. This really is almost an invite only type of deal haha.
Ikr? I didn't try quite that many, but I had the same results. My boy @KirkIsMyHinrich let me know about it.
Someone posted about it on the KUSports site one day and that's how I ended up finding it.
I do believe that's how I found it also. Sneaky, sneaky. ;-)
Dustin Hogue?
Donovan Jackson?
JRE chose Nova. Hard to miss on him, but life (and KU basketball) will go on.
I believe UNC (aka Roy) was approached about being a part of it, but he doesn't want to play Kansas anymore then he has to; which is understandable, considering his history with Kansas.
Gassnola was also an AAU coach, so the "report" could be him discussing his players with Self & staff and would keep them informed about any potential new targets, etc. Still no real smoking gun for anyone with half a brain to run with. Of course, that leaves a whole lot of village idiots to point fingers and claim "AHA, I KNEW IT!!"

NCAA already declared him eligible.
The thing is that the NCAA cleared him last year , that's great BUT what they cleared him for was they cleared him for the courses he took met NCAA guidelines to qualify to graduate early and gain entrance mid semester , and play for KU last year - -that course he had took met guidelines and were acceptable courses - this was BEFORE any of this became knowledge but quite some time- -they haven't cleared him for any possible payments of 20,000 him or his guardian may have taken from Gotto
I think Silvio is DONE. - - Do I think it's right ? - -- Hell no I don't - I truly feel he has no idea , like someone else said IF the guardian took money then HE is the one who needs his ass kicked , he just caused Silvio to lose his Amateur status -- I don't think you'll ever see Silvio touch the floor in another ball game for KU. - - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
No, he was cleared both academically and amateurism-wise.

Excerpt:
The KU basketball program on Saturday morning announced that the 6-foot-9, 245-pound power forward who came to Kansas a semester early after graduating from IMG Academy in Florida in December, had been certified as an amateur athlete and would be eligible to play in today's 11 a.m. game against Kansas State at Allen Fieldhouse.
Thanks @BShark ! Just found this site this year and have mainly been lurking, but appreciate any and all info regarding KU.
Your're welcome @Gorilla72 . This whole court case just strikes me as a very bizarre use of FBI resources, taxpayer money and our court system. Have to agree with the defense lawyer, what the hell are we doing here? It isn't illegal to break NCAA rules.

Is Silvio’s guardian on the witness list?
He is listed on "Other Relevant Individuals" as is Preston's mother.
