End of an era. All the recruiting scouts are taking jobs with NBA teams.

Daron Holmes will cut his list to 4 soon. KU target, parents went to KU

Seems like Arizona or KU. He thinks he is a guard.

Oh boy. We usually lose that battle

I'm thinking Zona.

Kyrell Luc committed to Holy Cross. Never anyone KU was involved with but I think he is a real baller and I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually transferred up.

New offers: Mor Seck, Noah Shelby.

Preseason Predictions • Sep 17, 2020 02:38 PM

Harris will be in the rotation. He can't shoot though.

Preseason Predictions • Sep 17, 2020 01:13 AM

@Marco That would be the lowest in the Bill Self era by a fairly significant margin. I would lean towards at least 72 a game, probably slightly higher.

2021 Recruiting • Sep 16, 2020 07:09 PM

Looking like Ayomide ends up at Memphis and should announce fairly soon.

@BShark So you think that Bryce will be our number one scorer?

Very possible. Extremely gifted offensive player.

David will be in contention too I think.

Would love to have him.

@BeddieKU23 yeah, his path to JUCO is a lot different than normal. I can't remember if it was mentioned in the recruiting thread or not but he didn't even play HS basketball.

That may explain some of the rawness/hitchiness/choppiness in his game. He looks unrefined because he is unrefined at this stage. That changes my assessment of his development curve.

If, for example, he had played for years and was just now getting to this point, I would look at him as a guy that maybe just can't get to that next level because he's already pretty far on his development path.

But if this is the first time he's really been coached at a high level--whoa. He could improve VERY quickly. Put me down as VERY HIGH on him now.

Not a big fan of the slant but it's mentioned here.

@BeddieKU23 I think he is a solid player, but we need another guard. At a minimum we need a replacement for Garrett.

Ryan on the Phog indicated the staff is still really high on Harris. Really good chance he's here for 4 more years and I think he has a role this year while slowly learning how he'll possibly take over Garrett's spot after the season. Unless Self lands himself a top level PG like he did Dotson to come in right away it makes the most sense that they are content to let Harris develop and become a starter.

I think it's fine if Harris starts. The best case scenario with returning players leaves KU with three guards. Harris, Bryce and...Jossell. Braun, Ochai and Tyon could fill in but you really want a third guard other than Jossell. I can see where it would be tough to recruit even normally w/o the NCAA crap as other coaches will say everyone is coming back. Other than getting a guard out recruiting has lined up well with players that are for sure leaving. Clemence in for Silvio and KJ in for Mitch.

Not talking about him, but KU in general being able to actually land kids again. NCAA crap needs to be finalized. Will KU land a PG ever again???!

Sounds like Bates wants to play early and that was a big factor.

Yep. KU could’ve promised him X minutes but chose not to. Not as big a push as they could’ve made. In KU’s mind he was a 4th or 5th guard type behind Harris, Thompson, Braun, and a lead guard higher on their board.

Completely agree with that assessment. Agbaji could be back to boot and I know he struggles with handling but he'd still be ahead of Bates.

New JUCO offer

Not sure how serious the offer is but I can see why the staff offered. I'd be thrilled if this kid ended up at KU. Elite athlete.

I dig. Could very well play the 5 with Clemence or Enaruna or Wilson or TGF at the 4. Or the 4 with McCormack at the 5.

Yeah that would be a salty rotation. Lots of shooting at the big spots too. The staff is offering every big/forward still available but not too many guards. Makes me think they know something we don't.

The erosion of rights will happen regardless of dem or rep president. They voting rights act was gutted thanks to his scotus nominees but he was just doing as told.

The "crap on Trump" thread • Aug 28, 2020 12:30 AM

Scotus and the federal judiciary system will be worse due to Trump appointees imo. Mostly due to scotus being so far right now. I'm just here to dump on Trump.
