LOL. He can never go back to LSU.
Yeah. Once Dellenger reported it, it was a 90000% DONE DEAL. He probably tweeted it from the plane or Les's house lol.
Yep. Presser today.

i wish that some of you hadn't pissed off a certain conspiracy theorist ( ShoeCo). He would've written a novel about Dedric being under MK Ultra mind control, which is why he donked out of his last two games.
OMG. :joy:
I can imagine your posts if Self went 13-19. My own as well...

@BShark will hull want to? Promote him?
Well, he won't be OC so I am not sure where there is much room for promotion. Might give him a pay raise though if needed.

And Jay Wright, who is not Bill Self, benched a 5 star! Stop the presses!

Super happy this is getting national coverage.

Aren't they all Louisiana people too? Will miles keep anyone to keep kids?
I imagine Hull will be retained.
Trying to imagine KU forums is KU had a 13-19 season like Jay did.
Yeah, game over now.

Thatβs terrible defense on that 3rd down
Bad angle... :/
Kylar Murray is pretty fast.
Just not sure the defense can make enough plays. Which, I mean, OU has an ELITE offense. I do really appreciate the effort from the team today.

@BShark I have not had cold water splashed on my face today.
Likely didn't have it nearly up to your knees either! :skull:
@Texas-Hawk-10 I am interested to see what kind of class can be put together. I'd probably be shocked if KU made a bowl next year though.
approxinfinity said:
this game is still winnable!
Calm down.
Nova SHOULD win their next 7 before playing KU but who knows now. They play in a joke conference so they can easily still make the NCAAT this year. They SHOULD.
HighEliteMajor said:
Hmmm. I'd take losing to Furman with a shiny NCAA title ring on the finger from last season. No doubt.
No NCAAT bid seasons okay? Jay has some of those. Not saying the goal shouldn't be a title. Before his recent hot stretch, he had a couple hot seasons but lots of mediocrity and double digit loss seasons. Jay has had two 3 year stretches at Nova where if Self had them at KU people would be asking for his head. Let's see if he can sustain an elite program.
I guess what I am asking is would you rather have Jay Wright than Bill Self? And I don't think it's an absurd question.
Texas Hawk 10 said:
I don't care what anyone else thinks, Beaty is leaving this program in much better shape than what he started with.
Talk to me about the scholarship situation.
This is sarcastic, don't actually do it, but you get my point. It might be marginally better.
There is some real talent on this roster assuming it can be retained. A bowl in year 3 would be a success for the next staff imo.

@BShark better shut the tv down and go watch your pipe.π
Lol. It's off, I'm fine.
hold me
I think Pooka should be retained now.
ALSO WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING??!?!!?
FURMAN
@Crimsonorblue22 Game is over. Furman won by 8 in OT at Nova.
Good lord, Villanova is baaaaad.

If you look where the water comes into the house, there should be a valve that shuts off water to the entire house. Now, if the break is outside the house then it is different but it should not affect the house. We engineers like to fix things.
This is a water line outside the house. The first thing I did was turn off the water to the house (from inside) and it was still gushing outside.
@Crimsonorblue22 froze and burst. Don't know exactly what yet could be a couple different pipes. I didn't want to dig and maybe make things worse. Then of course no one could get out here before it got dark. But the water is off now so the immediate danger is gone thankfully.
@JayHawkFanToo I didn't have a tool to shut it off nor did I know exactly where it was. It wasn't something I thought to ask my dad before he passed. Turns out near the edge of the property line and I am on 10 and a half acres. Thankfully the water district guy was home and actually lives fairly close. I'm not repairing it myself. I'd rather spend the money than do the work and thankfully I am at a place in my life where I can afford that.

If it makes you feel after putting in a new hot water heater and washing machine, now my dishwasher has stopped working.
I know all too well about water heaters. Once mine goes and it isn't under warranty, I'm getting a tankless one.
I spent my Saturday afternoon bucketing water away from my house so it wouldn't flood as I waited for the utility guy to get here to shut it off. Save the house but not looking forward to the pipe repair bill!

I told you who it is in a previous post lol.

This is all really a chemistry thing and folks finding their roles, adapting the Self's requirements, etc. He's starting the best players. It just needs a little time.
That's not saying I won' be concerned in late January if our character doesn't change.
I made a comment about this elsewhere. Self is still tinkering. He is trying to find the combinations that work. I don't think you can have Dotson and Garrett on the floor at the same time, unless it's 4 out 1 in. Certainly not with two bigs. That puts only one three point shooter on the floor. You can't get away with that in 2018.
I'm not sure if KJ shot Self's dog but I'd entertain playing him at the 4 spot more. He's not super quick by any means but he's better than Mitch
KU is an okay team right now, but can be much better. Probably always going to give up good 3 pt looks to opposing bigs but can make up for it on the glass.
KU isn't the #2 team in the country right now but outside of Duke and Gonzaga, no one is great.
If KU goes 2-0 in NY which is entirely possible there wouldn't be a ton to complain about. This isn't a perfect team but the talent is there, needs time.
dylans said:
That Louisiana team could upset someone in the dance with the way they jack up threes.
Their coach said it's not normal for them and that they changed their gameplan because of the way KU (doesn't) guard.
@HighEliteMajor RE your point on priority fwiw I think it might have been the gameplan to let Gant and Miller shoot threes. They are both sub 30% guys for their career. Miller just started insanely hot then normalized.
Agree the contests need to be better though. Hand down man down.

Dedric Lawson was super reflective and honest in his post-game session. Talked about adjusting to new teammates and not being the focal point of the offense. Can tell he's trying to make it work. Just an adjustment right now. #kubball
This pleases me. Dedric understands.

Oh...
Do we frame this thread after KU wins the league again?
@BeddieKU23 @jayballer73 @FarmerJayhawk @Kcmatt7 Nugget from Scott Chasen.
"An interesting post-game note... Dedric Lawson shouted out his little brother. I asked him in a smaller session what he thought of the announcement (Chandler Lawson committed to Oregon). He said that Chandler wanted to be a Jayhawk but they weren't able to make that fit work."
Interesting minute notes
Grimes over 30 again, all three games now.
Mitch and KJ 2 minutes each. Deep bench.
Moore 21 Dotson 20. Similar stats except Dotson made a couple 2s.
@Crimsonorblue22 Total stats for Garrett? 6 pts 5 ast 2 reb 1 stl.
@Crimsonorblue22 Garrett initiated the offense several times, tried to make plays.
@Crimsonorblue22 Garrett + Dotson is even worse, but I agree.
Garrett is definitely a PG. Ran the offense at times tonight, had the most assists.
