Bobby sucks. Joe sucks. For all we know at the moment, Rice sucks. CJ will not be playable as a freshman. McDowell will not be playable as a freshman. You cannot roll out Juan/Elmarko/Transfer/KJ/Udeh with that bench and expect to win the conference. That isn't going to get the job done.
Strongly agree with this. We have to get two legit wings that have proven it at the college level. I think that's absolutely required and I think it will be done.
Agree with what you are saying about the FR which does make @FarmerJayhawk idea of keeping Marcus in 24 make some sense. Keep room for a proven guy while forcing less out. Okay I can get behind that.
In my perfect world we are getting proven experienced depth for the 2G spot but I haven't heard that's on the table yet unlike the starting 3/4.

If we are counting those 3 then I'm putting the number at 7 w/ Adams reclass, 6 w/o. Think we need room for two starters. The way the roster sits right now, I just don't think Self could go into it next season and hope to win at his usual level.
Agree 6 is a good number that makes a ton of sense to me. Cam retires, Cuffe finds a nice MEAC school and Zach probably a G5 school.

For those that don't follow as closely some former Southern Assault guys: Darrell Arthur (technically he was an alum of one of the two that merged into SA but lots of the same people), Gethro (RIP), Jossell, Jalen. The director is a close friend of Bill Self.
ETA: Make no mistake we raised the profile of Gethro (RIP) and Jossell by having them on the roster for a year. Worked out for everyone while we were in a recruiting lull.

It was clear in our loss to Texas that our guys were winded after just a few minutes in the game.
We are lucky that March is designed to only have us play twice in a week.
Our biggest issues now are potential injuries and foul trouble.

Yeah Dajuan poured his soul into both games. Really did not have much left in the tank for Texas. He is slight of frame and the drop off when he is out is so big.

Kenpom wise our bracket is nuts but I have talked myself into it. The craziest part is probably the #4 and #11 KP teams being our 4 and 5 seeds. #2 team being a 2 seed when they are missing players isn't too crazy. #8 is our 3 seed. Arkansas and WVU being in the seed range they are isn't surprising because both of those teams had a ton of losses.

I do think Purdue's got a tough road. 8/9 matchup is tough. Duke is hot right now and has the size they may actually be able to mess with Edey a bit. Filipowski is sort of his worst nightmare. Guy who is big enough to guard him, but can shoot and dribble around him.
But damn is that bottom of the Midwest bracket objectively easy. Worst 2 seed, worst 3 seed, worst 6 seed all in one bracket.
