He isn't a pure shooter, but this KU staff is actually kind of great at fixing jump shots.
16 points. In a HALF. Against KSU. Holy shit WVU go home you are drunk.
I'm predicting S16 just at this point without knowing the match-ups. Once I see the match-ups it's subject to change.
@kjayhawks said:
Espn has KSU as the last team in so if they dont win today, they have to sweat sunday and see what happens with other teams.
Go BRuce
KK is a troll. He trolls KU fans, MU fans...even KSU tucks. Anything to get ratings.
@Crimsonorblue22 said:
@kjayhawks we get to keep bruce.
I think so too. If KSU wins against WVU or....the Big12 tournament somehow then he 100% stays.
Looks like Bruuuuuuce saved his job.

@DCHawker They were playing without Jackson today and Self has never cared much about winning the B12 tournament. There's a reason why is winning % in this tournament is anything worth bragging about.
Self definitely didn't seem to broken up about this game during or after.

Josh and Frank are too hungry to go out in the 2nd round. This is the best lineup we've had in a LONG time.
This is a fun topic. I would say without a doubt this team is better than the previous two editions. It gets murky with the 13-14 team. That team had a lot of potential, they also piled up a lot of losses and it could be said never realized it. The Embiid mystery adds intrigue but give me this year's squad at the end of the day. 100% better than EJ the PG's squad moving on. So then we get to TRob and the miracles. The tournament results are definitely there. The tournament results are there, but they just as easily could have lost to Purdue. They didn't so that's great but you could argue for the current team. Ok yeah 2011 is way better top to bottom the fun ends there.
So arguably the best since 2011. Let's hope for a better tournament result. :100:
I would hope so since KU wins pretty easy with JJ IMO.
No idea I don't listen to them and the only one I follow on twitter is Petro since he is reasonable. I'd listen to Petro if he wasn't on 810 but I refuse to support KK.
No ill-will towards you or anything. I didn't say to get back on your meds or something like that. :wink: And I think even you would admit, you have a lot of silly crazy fun in those long posts you make.
I want Duke and UK in our quad. Let's beat them both again for good measure.
:+1: It's very easy to accumulate stats. It's much more important how they occur.
Man, twitter is cancer. Enjoying this thread though.
Just clarifying since you seem to think you had a better idea of what I meant.
Don't take the bait. Also in general I would recommend not listening to 810 but ultimately that is a personal decision.

TCU is significantly better than any 16 seed KU will face. Whatever league KU's 16 seed comes out of, TCU is good enough to go undefeated in that league.
Very much agree with this. The 16 seed could be worse than any team KU has faced all year given the nature of conference tournaments.
@HighEliteMajor said:
Do not fret, my friend. We ain't losin' next weekend.
I hope so but I would wait to see who the 8/9 is before declaring this objectively. If it's a true 8/9 seed then I like KU's chances, if it's a vastly underseeded midmajor I think it's just about a coin flip.
I said what I meant.
I don't think there is anyone still wondering why Self is going after JUCO post players after today's game.
Not just plus/minus but the fact that he was abused continually on D and made bad decisions on O.
I don't think he is particularly a KU level guy. The scuttlebutt is he will do a prep year. Regardless of if he stays in 17 or goes to 18 he wouldn't be the worst end of the bench option (if he is willing) so that he could hang out with his brother.
Oh and if it secures Markese you take him every time imo.
@Crimsonorblue22 said:
@BShark couldn't take Svi out either
Just all around tough situation with no Josh, but Josh needed a suspension. Hopefully this focuses the team.
If KU isn't a one seed I expect a crazy long post from @jaybate-1.0
@Lulufulu said:
SO, we lost this game. We now get to reflect on whats next.
WIll KU Still get a 1 seed after getting bounced early?
Yes there is no doubt. Can't find 4 stronger resumes.
Newman I think will be next year's alpha assassin. Preston and Cunliffe both give me flake vibes.
@Crimsonorblue22 said:
That's not why. Forced us to play subs that don't play much and didn't give our starters any rest
Subs that are post players because we only had 4 scholarship guards.
I won't disagree with that. Foul issues forced more double post play.
Josh and Mason are the alphas on this team :100:
The first game should be against one of the worst teams KU will have played all year at least.
If KU makes the FF (don't even need them to win the NC) I'll take a multiple month breather for you.
I've predicted 7 or 8 losses. Certainly predicted today as a win. I don't think that's far off the mark with the statistical profile of this team, and that they have been a bit lucky at times + AFH factor.
@kjayhawks said:
I dont think there is any reason to panic, we didnt have our second best player and DG was off. Maybe because of an injury. I can understand why some of us arent happy, they played harder than we did for most of the game. I've said it a thousand times as does coach Self-rebounding is how you tell how hard you played, it 10% skill and 90% want to. I've also said the worst thing this team can do is get up early, we have blown leads of 10 points all season and for the second time it bit us in the butt. Hopefully its a lesson, YOU HAVE TO PLAY HARD EVERY MINUTE if you want to win in march period.
Really need DG healthy.
He is skilled, he just gets in his own way so much at this point.
Not sure how anyone can watch this team and not realize Lucas is the best post player RIGHT NOW FOR THIS TEAM but yeah you are right of course.
@HawkChamp said:
@BShark oh, probably just the usual " oh the tournament is a crapshoot" crap.
Pretty much.
I'm a realist KU fan.
@dylans said:
Offense wins games, defense wins championships.
Without Josh and Landon in the lineup KU has no chance.
Imo Lucas is our best offensive post too. Not because he is the most skilled (that's probably Bragg) but because he is the smartest and the hardest working. The offense in general flows better with Lucas in the game.
Interested so see our match-up(s) for the NCAAT. Feels far away now but it will happen before I know it.
So if this team falls short of the elite eight I'll be interested in hearing from the eternal sunshine squad.
I bumped the Svi is bad thread, if anyone is interested...
@nuleafjhawk said:
@globaljaybird sure didn't play like one today
The game result finally showed what a lot of people had been saying.
@dylans said:
The one HUGE positive is Graham is OK. I'd trade any number of Big12 tourney games for that. Turns out it was all of them this year.
Yep.
Even when Svi scores points he is a net negative. Good thing Josh will be back for the NCAAT.
Like no offense to Svi and I wish him well but the bench minutes next year going to Garrett/Cunliffe I would be fine with.
Wouldn't be sad to see him go pro at this point.
Svi was TCU's MVP
Svi was a net negative despite his hot start shooting. I can think of so many bad plays.
Just because it didn't go in doesn't take away from the design by Self.
Oh and that was a GREAT play by Self to draw up a good shot.
