Mitch Lightfoot has taken the reins from Bragg as bench GOD.
Referring to his reaction to Josh's dunk which was amazing.

Graham is cooking with gas.
Well, I approve of this start.
Selden will be watching with us.

Looks like the game will tip around the planned time of 8:30.
Was reading Newell's quick scout article.
3 Players to Watch
Six-foot-8 forward Chris Cokley (No. 3)
Minus: Doesnβt have three-point range (one attempt in three-year career)
Sooooo probably making a couple threes tonight lol.
The end of this game took forever jeez.
Pretty cool that GW has a Japanese player though. Don't see that too often.
Watch this stupid UGA GW game go into OT....
Going out on a limb and predicting a KU win.
KSU will likely finish 8-4 with a terrible QB that can barely complete a pass. 'nough said.

@Red.Rooster I am always humbled by what so many people go through while keeping their grace and equillibrium. I will be holding you in my thoughts and prayers as well.
:+1: RR's story really helped put something in perspective for me.
Football school tho.

Interesting I did not see anything else about other errors in the game.
This is one big mess for the NCAA. It's unfair FGCU did not get a fair shake at winning or losing.
I wasn't watching the game tbf so I was just going off of what people were saying online and while this one was the most egregious it was apparently the third clock issue in the game.
Yeah no great options this year. Cozart was afraid to get hit, Willis locks in on one guy and isn't great in general and Stanley has all the intangibles but lacks arm strength.
The buzzer went off before the kid even got the ball. So mentally, the kid has to be wondering what the hell is going on and possibly thinking the game is already over so it doesn't even matter if the shot goes in. Just a complete mess.
Also MSU is garbage.
And apparently this wasn't the only clock issue in the game favouring MSU. Ridiculous.

According to an older article Wazzu was hoping to place him at a Cali JUCO and get him back after he presumably cleared up his academics.
True, very true. It's getting ridiculous at this point for them. Grayson is even banged up despite playing.
Decent athlete, not going to blow anyone away in that regard. Quick release should help mitigate oline problems at least. With what I'm seeing with his release and arm strength he should be pretty good at those stupid bubble screens Beatty loves. Of course, most of what I could see he was throwing downfield and throwing those short screens is different. It will be fun to watch him in the Spring game!
This kid can sling it, quick release and pretty good arm strength.
Duke when healthy is rightfully the favourite by a big margin. The key is when healthy.
RE: Bender, he was going to be Wazzu's back-up this year, and maybe their starter after Falk left. However, he ended up having academic issues and had to go the JUCO route. He could definitely win the job. Like @kjayhawks said the more the better odds are one is good. I need to watch of his film to see how his arm looks.
Rumours are alcohol and cocaine.
While Kenpom isn't the final authority or anything UAB is 17 spots below Siena.

@Statmachine JoJo is a shoe in for Rookie of the Year. At this point, they should just give it to him. No other rookie is even coming close.
:dart: :dart:
Hopefully the team starts fast against UAB. Self should have plenty of ammo.
I just can't stand his voice. Didn't watch a minute of the Duke game today tbh.
Good to hear they are making it official.
I should have checked this thread before posting in the other one lol.
Kansas beat Texas who beat Baylor who beat OK St who beat Pitt who beat Penn St who beat Ohio St. Kansas > Ohio St ...KANSAS WANTS BAMA.
Oh and getting Duval would be a great way to help dispel the Self and PGs thing. Duval will succeed anywhere.
Fwiw Diallo can and may go directly to the NBA.
I think we all want Doke to play. A lot of us in fact probably disagree with Self's approach to the situation. However it will not change.
Thankfully the blackout games will be done in short order.
@BeddieKU23 said:
I think what got Doke benched was the 3 their 5 made on him where Doke was totally lost. Reminded me of Cliff his freshman year. Doke is a good play against Centers without range. He is just so raw around the edges right now
That's fair. He is way too unpolished to be able to do much against stretch 5s.
@BeddieKU23 said:
Vick & Josh are so long and athletic that they can play guys taller which gives this team lots of interchangeable options on defense. Nova has thrived with guys like those that can guard above their pay grade
Yeah it goes against what Self believes in but it's the best thing for this team right now.

Something about this entire situation just screams to me that Young will still be considering UK as his favorite until others come off the board. UK is going to lose its only guards, they will need Young still. Green is more a true point, Young is more Steph Curry. Both are high scoring kids that can run the team but could easily co-exist.
I know it sounds like popular belief that this would eliminate UK but there is zero information stating so just speculation. Does it help KU & OU, certainly but this is UK we are talking and with the way their roster is setup they are going to need all the guards they can get.
Pretty much. UK's entire team is leaving. They need at least two more guards/wings. We definitely want them to get Hami as well. It boils down to does Young want to play PG/run the team. He won't do that now at UK. Self has told him he would at KU.
Totally agree. There is a reason Vick played 32 minutes. If Josh can stay out of foul trouble he will play 30+ as well. Self went a little overboard on Doke considering he pretty much didn't play again after not getting one particular rebound.
@JayHawkFanToo said:
He only played one game for them after transferring from Memphis and sitting out one year. I don't believe it will affect the team that much.
Just noticed this post. They really don't have anyone good in the post now.
The three point shooting really can't get worse. Missing lots of wide open looks.
As for Lucas the problem is Self is going to run his offense for better or for worse so when Lucas is in the game he will be getting the ball in the post. The issue against Siena is he tried to force it/do too much. Lucas of all kids. When he plays within himself he is fine.
Appears to be a trainwreck.
We do want Texas to be good. I think they go after and get Herman. Seems to be the popular consensus.
Also agree TTech and Baylor SHOULD be open. You can't go forward with Grobe (very average at best) or anyone related to Briles. TTech I think is more debatable.

@Texas-Hawk-10 If that's what it takes-yes please. JK We played poorly, but Texas played worse. 6 turnovers by Texas, the last was an interception by Mike Lee in overtime. Finally, finally, finally.
Texas sooooo bad. KSU will probably kill us, but I don't really care.

Man, I forgot that Jerod is now at Stanford. Had been thinking how great it would be to see him back in AFH and what type of reception he'll get.
Bummer!
We play Stanford this year in Allen and set up a 4 year series with them. Sacremento next year, then AFH again, then at Stanford.
My vote is on F. Charlie knows.
Well they were recruiting him for over two years.
