In case anyone cared Langston Wilson committed to Roll Tide Money Bags
Yep some very memorable moments that year for him. It sucks that's all we got from him. Hope for the best
Wow. Smh.
Has Self ever got less out of a player here while having to deal with the consequences of him going here. I can't think of one

@approxinfinity LOL
Gethro. We know Garrett is good. :p
Hearing some rumblings about him?
Lefty with a smooth shot. Looks like a 4 year guy
Film

4-star 2021 center jonas alsoo (@jonasaldoo) has added a offer from Kansas
Go get em Bill, seriously this is the guy you get behind Big Dave.
Very good shot blocker and can shoot the 3. Still only 17 and will need to build that body up. Love the film especially the ability to protect the rim. Some real touch on his shot from all over the court.

@BeddieKU23 wow man. Is this really happening?
Right. It certainly doesn't even feel like its about to start. Still pissed how last season ended..
Practice starts tomorrow!
Border War game canceled for 2020
Interesting.. Looks like free agency starting in 21..
FSU coach had Covid, also asymptomatic. Missed the Miami game, they lost 52-10
Believe it when I see it. Have to wait and see what happens in this one
I have to ask, how did it take this long to look into why almost the entire team left
Kentucky is involved. So much for that cheap thrill

KU will be involved here. They like him a lot.
Hope so. Had a big summer
5 star Bryce McGowens decommits from FSU. Now that's something you don't see often
If you look at how SEC teams like LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Arkansas & Alabama have been able to recruit the past 3-4 years you will soon realize recruiting is still dirty
Yeah Wilson is still a big unknown. He needs to beat out TGF or Enaruna for minutes. Good competition, each has a different skillset they bring. Good problem to have
We window dress a lot. Guess there could be worse things
Update on the 2021 cycle.
9 of the top 20 remain uncommitted. I didn't include Michael Foster who'll very likely go pro.
10 remain open from #21-50
6 remain open from #51-100
6 remain open from #101-125 (#125 being the last 4 start ranked).
Hunter Salis remains the top ranked prospect that KU was/is still recruiting. However there's no expectation he ends up at KU.
Daron Holmes at #39 I guess would be next. No idea if the staff is active with Mac Etienne #44 or Trey Alexander #62
138 Sam Ayomide looks set for Memphis.
Roster is young, I think Self can afford to hit the transfer market hard in the spring for something he may need. It seems unlikely this cycle is going to be anything great.
I'm expecting TGF to be a big part of the rotation. May not start right away but his combination of skills on both ends seems like something the rotation needs. Watching film and some of his games from Indian Hills he's the one guy in that 6'7-6'8 range that has that gifted athletic ability compared to Enaruna/Wilson/Braun/Lightfoot. He's a sneaky good rebounder and shot blocker as well defensively. Going to be interesting to see how impactful he can be
Boot Camp complete!
Eric Bossi joined 247. Seemed inevitable after guys left
Jalen down 15 pounds. That was telling there
I think with the disaster of an offseason this has been I would expect Dave is more or less the player we saw last yr. There are things with him that I think will always be lacking. Hopefully now that he is the guy that has to lead that it brings out the best in him. Unfortunately I expect the frontcourt to be the weakest part of the team and that's not throwing shade but recognizing how good Doke was and how far the drop is to what returned
He said other things as well including Jalen Wilson which surprised. Harris having a year helped him and the team..
As a team the biggest issue I think he sees is what big man can defend in the post and late in shot clocks on switches. Did seem confident in Garrett at PG and thinks he will score more then 10/11 a game. Looking for Agbaji to be a better shooter which in turn will impact his all around game.
so far..
Bryce is not playing like a 5 star.
Grant-Foster has been hurt
Garrett is the PG.
Thinks they will score easier 1-5
Says Agbaji is a better shooter this yr.
Braun and Enaruna have been "good"

JD Davison done to Bama.
as usual these types of kids don't care about winning or college
Pac-12 has agreed to play starting Nov 25th.
That potentially saves the USC & Colorado games..
ESPN is reporting the Champions Classic to be held in Orlando. Also the Wooden Legacy in Orlando. KU is in both.
Wow and Jerry. Guess they will have to reload on some talent, if that's possible. Sweeten the deal to get Bossi back
Who?

Daron Holmes will cut his list to 4 soon. KU target, parents went to KU
Seems like Arizona or KU. He thinks he is a guard.
Oh boy. We usually lose that battle
Daron Holmes will cut his list to 4 soon. KU target, parents went to KU
Just going to call it interesting that he's landed 2 five star wings in consecutive classes now
I think Bryce is capable of that but I've learned to be conservative with freshman guards under Self. If Bryce averages 14 a game that's big time for a freshman and you may not get a 2nd year of him in a Hawk uniform.
I can see around 11 for Braun if he starts. He's in a battle with Bryce & Grant Foster for a starting spot. I see those 3 battling for the two spots up for grabs in the 4 guard lineup. Should be good competition and create a bit of a "6th man" for this squad.
I don't know what to expect from Enaruna & Wilson just yet. Should be interesting to see what roles they earn. Tristan definitely had some growing pains as a freshman and Wilson's injury left him way behind. They both give Self flexibility and different skill sets though to play around with
Absolutely see Harris playing he's just not a high volume scorer. Don't know that he'll ever be one but we got 4/5 years to see what happens
Not surprised there. Tbh not sure he was KU caliber but given how recruiting has gone how picky can they be..
Mid 70's.
I expect the returning vet's who will be playing a lot of minutes to be the most likely leaders, Agbaji & McCormack especially and we need those guys to be consistent every night. Marcus has to stay healthy, he's probably around 10ppg. Bryce and Grant-Foster are the wildcards. I think there's optimism Bryce even as a freshman will be 10+ppg as he'll likely start or be playing 25 minutes a game. I think Braun is another that could hit double figures if he earns a starting role. Those 6 should be the main core to expect
Yepp this years team you will see a noticeable downturn
Gayle is very good, reminds of BMac
I would absolutely prefer another guard that's interchangeable on the perimeter. The rug fell out from the Hickman recruitment, Bates did his thing and Salis is being pushed in other ways so it is what it is there. Missing on Hickman is a major loss, I personally thought his game was terrific. Maybe the staff finds something in the Spring or pushes the transfer market for an upperclassmen. The recruiting cloud isn't going away anytime soon and I wouldn't count out Braun becoming a go-to perimeter guy by Jr season. I think he has the chance to surprise the fanbase the way Marcus developed himself into a dependable PG option last season. Things have a way of working themselves out. I hope the recruiting losses on the perimeter are replaceable.

@BeddieKU23 I think he is a solid player, but we need another guard. At a minimum we need a replacement for Garrett.
Ryan on the Phog indicated the staff is still really high on Harris. Really good chance he's here for 4 more years and I think he has a role this year while slowly learning how he'll possibly take over Garrett's spot after the season. Unless Self lands himself a top level PG like he did Dotson to come in right away it makes the most sense that they are content to let Harris develop and become a starter.
Wow, I haven't seen the story on him yet. I'll have to check it out. That concerns me from an overall skill level POV but man does his ability to play above the rim bring excitement
@BShark said in 2022 Recruiting Thread:
Seems like KU is in a pretty good spot with Cuffe Jr.
We should expect him elsewhere then right? All the recent "in a good spot" kids have done so
Explosive leaping ability. Definitely rare to see that kind of bounce to him especially in the Juco ranks.
Our luck with PSA sent me the other way
247 dropped Clemence 29 spots now to #60. I don't see 60 better players then him but who knows if he'll even stick at this point
KJ at 91

Yep we do. We are dumpster diving so to speak though now after several whiffs
