The biggest takeaway I'm seeing at this point is Doke went from undrafted to likely drafted. Big change from beginning of the season.
Dotson also improved his stock from mid-season on.

Alex O'Connell ended up at Creighton.
Creighton going to be pretty salty this upcoming season. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
Unless he gets a waiver he will have to sit. I'm sure he will try and get one and say K hurt his feelings for not playing him much
I think FSU is in it for Chandler as well. I would expect he $woosh's when its all said and done. Really liked his game and he was really good at Peach Jam playing alongside Harris & Dante.
Oh he's a stud, reminds me of Ochai with the athleticism, college ready body & the shooting touch from the perimeter. Have no clue if KU can land anyone from Montverde. Seems like a school we just can't compete with Nike for
Gonzaga picked up Southern Illinois leading scorer Aaron Cook. PG only played in 6 games last season.
San Diego St picked up high scoring tiny sized guard Terrell Gomez. That might be insurance for Flynn leaving.
@BShark The guard I would love to pair with Thompson potentially in 21 is Kennedy Chandler. Played with Mokan and is very good. However I think his recruitment is just not the rabbit hole KU can contend in right now.
Thompson is a pure shooter so the article is pure BS

This certainly has the making of a Frank/Devonte rise from nothin. From Juco to KU star?? Not impossible
People should also realize he only played 24 minutes a game this year. Indian Hills used a platoon style a lot.
Kid averaged 16ppg, 6.5 Reb, 1 stl, 1.6 ast, 1.5 blk playing Isiah Moss minutes comparably. Got to the line 151 times. Intriguing kid to say the least
David Sloan in the portal. Not sad
David De julius also in the portal from Michigan.
Figured Williams is a giant sized human too
The Ohio St selling some good ocean front property this transfer season. Picked up Bucknell's leading scorer today, a day after losing Luther Mohammed to the portal. Not a grad transfer though
Giant Sized Center Matt Haarms in the portal from Purdon't. Grad Transfer
It doesn't look as if free agency transferring will be happening this year. Looks Like 21-22 season. That's good for KU potentially as I think that would have made a few guys think..
Yeah the play-making ability was much improved and some clean handles will get him playing time here. There is a definite scoring role he can take on next to some of these guys.
Honestly his tape was of a High 4-Star type kid. If he defends and meshes with the hard nosed chemistry of this team he'll have a big role here.
Impressive tape.
He is the wildcard to next years team offensively. You add that type of size, athleticism, shooting & skill and he has a great chance to impact the team despite his JUCO label. He has skills that translate no matter where he's playing. The rebounding, ball handling skills & rim protection were some things I hadn't seen in his other film or live games. Definitely a talent.
Carlick Jones picked Louisville. That's a big pickup for them

Jeriah Horne from Tulsa 6'7 career 34.9 3pt % with 127 makes. Had 9 games this season with 3 or more made 3's
At the moment I say 50/50
Ha that was quick guess he didn't pass tha brothahood test

Bryce Aiken is down to Iowa St, Maryland, Seton Hall & Michigan
Iowa State needs some players pretty badly. He could be "the guy" there.
If he wants to win he would go elsewhere however that's the type of offense he could chuck some shots in
Bryce Aiken is down to Iowa St, Maryland, Seton Hall & Michigan
Portal over 600 now
Having seen him play in that league I would pass
Norlander tweeted Self told him Garrett is the best defender he's ever coached- Doke 2nd
Congrats to Marcus. WELL DESERVED!!!!!
Just aired last night. A good look into Christian Dawkins and the FBI's case.
Will Wade and Sean Miller :eyes:
The NCAA after watching this - "umm I guess we should investigate huh. Oh that's Nike though I don't know we better ask for permission first. On 2nd thought we'll think about it."

Man, how many do they have left on scholarship?
They just got 4 players over the weekend, Alterique Gilbert Grad Transfer from UCONN and 3 High School Prospects. They now have 9 guys with 4 open scholarships
Transfer Portal has hit 550

Alterique Gilbert picks Wichita
Kevin Marfo picks Texas A&M
Xavier nabbed 2 Grad Transfers
USC got 2 Grad Transfers
Just surprised at all these quick decisions, they can't visit. All they can do is talk to coaches

@BShark Good for them I guess?
I hope our two top rated recruits from last season pan out. Enaruna and Wilson are both pretty rough for top 100 talent.
Just, um, surprising. Recent players from Roselle Catholic ended up at Oregon, LSU and UK iirc.
More insane is transfers picking schools without even visiting
Plus the buyout is high for a sport they don't care about
Texas decides they will suck at basketball for another season. Shaka returns
Wichita down to 4 guys who played a game last year + 1 red-shirt

@BeddieKU23 who?
Yeah I disagree, I don't think anyone is leaving KU after this season.
I think its still a possibility. We'll see how it plays out
Justin Turner released a Top 6, KU wasn't on it.
Portal hit over 500.
The NCAA will vote at end of April on immediate 1 time transfer. If that happens expect KU roster movement
Just Washington
So happy to see him gone from the league but he was the perfect bruce
Wow Jones has terrific vision. Not a volume trey ball shooter but have to love his improvement over dreadful shooting there in his first 2 years. You pair him with Garrett & Thompson... wowza
20 ppg on 14 shots a game is big time.
@KirkIsMyHinrich said in Other bball news:
Not really. Four of Texas' top five scorers last season were guards. The fifth was Sims. I think they need the front-court help considering Sims' back problems and the fact that Jones, Hepa, Liddell, and Baker all kind of suck.
Hepa was starting for them but had a nagging injury. Also provided some perimeter shooting.
Baker was terrible as a freshman but was coming on at the end of the season. I doubt he'll suck in year 2. They need to get him away from shooting the 3.
Jones should take a noticeable leap in year 2.
Not saying Brown wouldn't play over all 3. I just think he'll see a much clearer path to a featured role without Sims. Sims was really good at Texas this year and would be the best big in the league if he returned. Not sure Brown's camp wants to compete with that
