Mason with 12, Vick with 7 and everyone else has made a brick house

Wide open

Lucas come on

At least frank is starting to find holes in the d.. Oregon not in foul trouble which helps them

Either at some point these guys will stop playing tight or they wont.. up to them

We have to get turnovers

Damnit

There we go

No effort

We have started slow but that didn't include josh sitting for 16 minutes

@BeddieKU23 We're about to heat up.

We better

One team came to play. The other didn't...

Its funny because other then Dorsey which was the whole basis for his argument, KU matches or is bigger then every player in their lineup

@BeddieKU23 he has a point. Oregon is really talented.

No doubt but he ignored Kansas pretty much to say nothing on how Oregon was supposed to win.

At least Charles knew that Oregon has to find a 3rd scorer and keep the game below 80

You would expect a better analysis on how a team was going to win then it's scorer being taller then Graham and Mason

Kenny doesn't know what he's talking about

@fihsch

Different team then and they didn't have Brooks.

Oregon will play zone until we shoot them out of it

baylor is so bad

@BShark

We know he can defend. He was lethal in Virginia's opening round game. Sit one to play 1..

@mayjay

I loved the part of the telecast where Mason skied for a rebound and I believe Reggie Miller said "is there anything Frank Mason doesn't do" he probably is the team manager and coordinates all the team flights". Something around those lines. Was hilarious.

@mayjay

I've been loving the Harlan/Miller and company crew. So refreshing. They have been excellent

And everytime they mentioned Lucas being doubled I think KU got another open 3 attempt..

@drgnslayr

He was incredible last night. Played with so much energy. His shot was pure

@justanotherfan

I thought it was interesting that Purdue doubled Lucas which was a large part why he had 2 points (plus some tick tack foul calls) that limited his minutes. He has a definite size advantage on Bell but Bell has always made up for his size with superior athletic ability. 76 blocks on the season is no joke!

I agree about Dorsey, he's kind of taken over the scoring role and having watched Oregon's games he's making everything regardless of who's guarding him. Graham has to take the assignment. Mason on Pritchard/Benson. Svi/Vick on Ennis.

@drgnslayr

Doesn't hurt that the crowd will once again feel like we're in Allen Fieldhouse.

The kids will bring energy, this team is on a destiny. Last night was amazing.

If we play our game we cannot lose.

@BShark

I saw that. Poster has no idea what he's talking about.

Honestly the Jamari Traylor comp fits (size, athlete) but otherwise ends there. Hard to find a direct comp because he is kind of an unique talent. Without a jump shot you worry how much he'd fit in this years hawk lineup but obviously a lot of things are going to change next year. His rebounding, BBIQ, and athletic ability stand out and are needed on this team

Oregon Matchups • Mar 24, 2017 02:29 PM

Very similar team, play 4 guards, 1 big since the Boucher injury.

Our advantage again is our guards in this game. Benson & Pritchard are not athletes and cannot stop Mason or Graham. Oregon will play a soft press into a zone and switch into man at times. Basically Villanova Elite 8 all over again. Cannot have a ton of live ball turnovers against this group. Guard the shooters, make our shots.

Quick rundown of the players:

Tyler Dorsey is the biggest concern IMO for Oregon. He's been shooting the lights out of the ball. KU recruited him out of HS. Kid has really stepped up late in the season.

Dillon Brooks and Jackson is a fantastic matchup. Probably will be a lot of KU fans first introduction to the theatrics of Brooks. He's got game, but if JJ is locked in defensively can force him into a volume shooter. Brooks is a very emotional player and can carry a team. Has made a few game winners this season (UCLA, Cal).

Dylan Ennis is 2-15 from 3 last five games, hopefully that continues. 6th year guard, he's something like 25 years old.

Payton Pritchard has been solid for them as a freshman. Can shoot it but has struggled recently as well. Had a big game in the the first round, hasn't done much in the past two games.

Jordan Bell is one heck of an athlete. Lucas has his work cut out for him again. Might be the best shot-blocker in the country. Has expanded his offensive game. Have to keep him off the boards, heck of a rebounder. Forcing him into foul trouble is a key to look at.

Casey Benson- steady point guard who shoots most of his shots from 3 (53% of made baskets from 3).

The Bench: Williams & Benson are the primary subs. Significant drop down to Williams. They have used another freshman big Keith Smith sparingly. No other guards play. KU would be smart to be aggressive and force fouls.

Anyone catch Juiston's game yesterday?

Hutch won and again Shakur was clutch down the stretch. Made a bunch of FT's (which other than a jump-shot seems to be his weakness).

He had over 20 pts again with 16 rebounds. Usual effort from this guy

@Crimsonorblue22

sure, in a few week's we'll need a new one. recruiting will pick up after the season ends

Mason • Mar 24, 2017 01:40 PM

Mason needs 23 points against Oregon to pass Collins for 5th all-time on the Scoring List.

Interesting about Waters and his father. Had not heard anything about him before.

Bham with his usual daily doom and gloom.

@jayballer54

It does raise some questions at Virginia. We've seen in the past that its tough to play for Bennett and his slow you to sleep style and defensive minded philosophy. I'm think the Shayok transfer means more then the Thompson one. Thompson, I believe, has already transferred before so he's most likely a grad transfer looking for more playing time. It seemed he was getting lost in the shuffle of the young guys. Shayok now has to go sit somewhere and finish his one year, which always strikes me as an odd situation.

And that's why josh is amazing

Make up call

Whatever refs

Omg ur kidding me

So who has the ball Graham had control before this god damn call

WHATTTTT

Lucas huge

Scoring more points than your opponent is optimal.

More so in a game where Purdue is capable of making a good %.

Junk!!!!

I'm waiting for the intensity to turn up we are playing so tight

Unfavorable whistle thus far.

We really haven't done anything to get fouls against them. Not driving it to the basket...

Exactly we are playing to their advantage

Mason needs to wake up

These fouls

@wissox said:

Just watched the replay of the Lucas 'foul'. You're all right, it was minor at best.

Yeah it's the type of foul that makes us go to our bench when we need landen in

If they are going to call that might as well call breathing

Bull crap

Let's get it BOYS

Porter got his release.

Don't worry Washington wasn't worried about letting him go. He wasn't that good anyway
