Threw away lots of opportunities on that last Offensive possession.
Inside out there...on the drive into the lane
11- 4 advantage on boards though
5-1 on TO"s
5-2 on PF's
Seems need to get the ball inside and back out...but we don't often throw it in there when we could...realize that hasn't been our game this year.

Well, looks like the first half is the sloppy half
Yeah...every starter has 1 TO for us.
Step way back there Graham.!
Defense has loosened up
Getting going now...seeing it go in the hole
Self should tell them to start now...
@approxinfinity like Kevin Harlan
No foul there. Looked like O player created contact with forearm.
Rough start offensively.

Some good news. Kansas does rank in the top 25 in Luck per Pomeroy.
Noticed our first Foe is even luckier! They're lucky they get to face Kansas!
NC Central was 3 point favorite.
Central coach - can't take that suit coat.
Tight game at 2:00 remaining. Davis up 4
@jaybate-1.0 She's tops on the Hollywood works hard charts.
Is all the crying about Syracuse simply to appease the NY television market?
Mark Few fell asleep mid-sentence
Calipari calling Bilas support of Duke out...like that.
Vegas:
Duke 5-1
UNC 6-1
KU 8-1
UK 8-1
Nova 8-1
Zags 10-1
Well a girl picks us to go to the final 4
@RockChalkinTexas of course, Gary is one that had us bumped from a 1 seed.
Perhaps that would give us more of chip?
@wissox but to hear the talking heads, both UNC & Duke should be 1 seeds.
@MoonwalkMafia I get it, but at the end of the day, we're a 1 seed...that means we should be able to beat all comers...and have to anyway to win a NC.
JustBringIt
UCLA 3 seed

Half the big12 teams in the same region???
Hopefully we get 6, but your point still stands
@HawkChamp @drgnslayr WSU isn't every teams superbowl, night in-night out. Easy to underestimate the effect of that. I watched part of some WSU games early and they looked crappy and uninspired. We don't judge them the same way.
Bleacher Smeecher Report: So Duke playing without players and losing is okay, Kansas loses a game with a key player out and that matters..
Okay- no bias there.
Guess that's why I don't have them bookmarked anymore.
@nuleafjhawk and there are some good defensive moments.
@Texas-Hawk-10 correct, and the rest is match ups and play on any given day.
Oh and any asymmetrical refereeing!
@DCHawker there's wanta win, and feel like havta win.
Today was wanta win, but over it and move on. Use what material presented itself for coaching the next round.
Like Self: "You know Josh, we don't lose that game if you hadn't screwed up. You owe the team in next weekend's tournament"
JJ: "okay coach. We're not going home next weekend!"
Coach: "Team, that's how easily our season can be over if you don't play freakin' defense"
@chriz but it's thin.
@JayHawkFanToo you're baiting me to prove it, but I'm swimming on by.
There's an old preacher's saying that when you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, only the one hit yelps.
Not saying that's you, but I'm content to make the statement and let it stand. I really do enjoy the give and take and the varied PoV's.
I personally don't think I'm always right and am willing to learn and adapt to a better argument.
Btw, enjoying the posting that I missed before, during and after the game.
I'm not at all sad, no, strike "sad" and insert, mad at this loss.
I'm glad for the added rest and hopefully greater motivation for the big dance.
Wouldn't be upset if we scrapped the post season Big 12 tourney except that I enjoy watching the games and it does provide more opportunity for that.
@JayHawkFanToo I'm not gonna name names. That would go against what I'm complaining about.
But, feel free to go read the opening comments of many a game thread. I think some names might begin to reveal themselves.
But I can read past those posts AND DO. What I find annoying is that some of these same sunshine crew will jump personally the comments and posters that don't share their eternal optimism.
That's really the gist of my comment. The irony of extreme negativity rained down upon the heads of the less optimistic.

@Bwag and what does it say to your dark side?
I find the "eternal sunshine crew" somewhat annoying. We're gonna blow out everyone. We're gonna win every game regardless...and I find that they can be just as negative towards posters who are either more realistic in their appraisals or especially those who are more pessimistic in nature - the glass is only 48.5% full - types.
I like a person with dark humor. And I'll pull for our team to win every game. I enjoy the give and take of argumentation as long as it doesn't turn personal and nasty. I find that the E.S.C. Tend to attack other posters more which I find ironic.
We haven't had much to debate this year:
Self adjusted like he never has before to our personnel
Our bench has been so thin there's been no debate over who should play.
And we've witnessed our best OAD and a POY performances in recent history.
Been lots of sunshine but there have been clouds all along the way with tight games, but for the most part, clouds have parted and the sun came back out.
Today though shows that a piece of the puzzle is out of place, you don't get to see it to the end.
Upcoming tournament can deal that out of alignment situation very easily:
Hot shooting team, uneven or even biased reffing, injury. We're dancing on a razors edge from here on out. I'm hoping we skate into the winners circle on that edge.
@BShark said:
I would hope so since KU wins pretty easy with JJ IMO.
As I think @jayballer54 commented, JJ was good for 3+ points and a few RB and probably a block or steal or 2.
@Big-Clyde52 said:
@BShark At this point in time, Bragg is definitely not skilled.
I think he's not tough. Skilled- yes. Tough - not so much.
Can't finish through contact consistently.
@Lulufulu agreed. Svi foul was unfortunate but not too mad about it.
@approxinfinity said:
TCU deserves to dance. They played a hell of a game to beat us.
Does the fact that JJ didn't play factor in?
I think it does.
@HighEliteMajor and hopefully it drives even greater motivation.
Wasn't Grayson Allen a pre-season favorite for POY? He isn't getting any mention, but that shouldn't be surprising.
I seem to recall Mason bending over repeatedly in the last game. Not sure if that was due to a temporary blow that knocked the wind out of him or something else. Obviously, it didn't impact the rest of the game leading me to believe it was something like that.
But that does raise the spector of injury or fatigue with multiple games one after another.
Not a fan of the post-season Conference tournament. Might feel different if we didn't win the Conf regular season for 13 years in a row.
@Texas-Hawk-10 that's a big stretch.
But with a 7 man rotation can't take anyone off.
