@nuleafjhawk first, ultimate goal is N champs, but I'm not giving up conference championships! I want it all! Really don't care what others say, it happens to a lot of great programs, example, look at this year. Madness! That is what makes it so special to win it all. I'm second guessing our tough preseason schedule. Did these young pups need to see more success to gain confidence? I don't know!

@globaljaybird I was a lucky one to get all the games, 'cept that weird one over turkey day, but my family got it, so lucky again. My folks, other family members called and wrote letters about that mess. I felt so guilty that I could get them! I'm not a Zenger fan. Jmo
As far as Selfs job goes, everywhere Self goes, you see Zenger too! Can't say exactly what I'd like too, but you get the picture.

@truehawk93 wouldn't it be fun to see a defensive hilite film! I've always heard Self says he can coach them up on D. I know he proved that w/wiggins and Selden , but the rest??? The rule changes were tough w/this team, I think. Would love to hear what coach thinks about that.

@truehawk93 saw the 4 overtime win for his team. Looking forward to seeing the new Jhawks. Trying to be positive, but maybe turner and cliff will be stronger than Embiid w/shaky back issues??? Of course, IF we get turner. Just wish Embiid decides and we can move on.
@wissoxfan83 our kids thought they said Jason randle and they didn't know who he was. KU kids hadn't got the scouting report yet. They were not disrespecting the kid!
@REHawk I've really been struggling w/all the ugly stories out there. These are kids and they have given me so much pleasure this season. Bill Self said Andrew was the most polite kid he's ever had. My son sent me this to cheer me up and have some faith in a jhawk fan! I'm trying to find out more about writer. Thanks for reading it!

@DanR you can write want ever you want. Just makes me sad that we resort to name calling and broken ankles. I appreciate all the time and work these coaches and players put in and I value their worth more than a mule. This team was a lot of fun for us to follow. I can't wait til next year, and my goal is always the same. NC!

@DanR first losing bothers me. Second, I went to most of the home games and I saw the players having a lot of fun! Hopefully some of you saw that too. One of my favorite moments is the bench video after Tarik's dunk over big Ridley! My friends and family enjoyed the team and I wouldn't trade one of them. I would like to add Releford to the team.

@HighEliteMajor I agree w/your press reasons. I think starting out in a press juices up a team. But, we needed Tarik to play a lot of minutes yesterday. Not sure we can effectively press w/him in. Traylor is perfect for that, and he did a good job.
As far as Tharpe goes, I see his problems, we all do, but to wonder how far we'd be if he hurt his ankle?
Conner will be a great shooter, already is. But, he can't penetrate like Mason, or guard a guy like randle.
I hope we see more of Greene and Conner next year shooting lights out. Quicker and stronger!

@truehawk93 I watched the Baylor-KU game live, in person. We did a great job of attacking their zone. When our #4 guys make 4 of 18, miss 14 bunnies, there's the game. Jmo
OAKVILLE OBSERVATIONS FROM ST.LOUIS:
1] Obviously, Jo Jo was the hub of our offensive wheel and without him the wheel never really stabilized. [4-4 the last 8 games]
2] Tarik Black went out like a man and a warrior battling to the end. Sat with his Dad and I saw first hand where Tarik got his strength and courage.
3] Sunday afternoon, outside of Conner, they played like the freshmen and sophomores that they are.
4] Conner Frankamp is going to be one hell of a basketball player by the time he leaves KU.
5] Truthfully, no one in Crimson and Blue is ready for the NBA. Put the odds at 50/50 Jo Jo stays, but I think not experiencing an NCAA game MAY be a big factor.
6] Naadir was NOT the reason we lost to Stanford..they were just too big with Jo Jo out.
7] Do I even need to discuss the abominable officiating that was inflicted upon us? This is not an excuse.......this is first hand eyewitness fact.
8] Please don't remember Andrew by this last game..take his whole season as a portfolio....Leading Scorer, Big 12 Freshman of the Year, All Big 12, showing ODAs all over America that KU is a great place to play and learn. Always remember the smile!!
9] Perry...toughen up and show us we're all full of C##P next season.
10] 25-10, 10th Conference Big 12 Title, Top 10 virtually the whole season while having the second youngest team in Division One playing THE toughest schedule..we should be proud.
11] Next season we will be tougher and wiser with a year's experience and Cliff and Kelly and, Jo Jo decides to leave, Myles.
12] If Jo Jo stays....we will be very, very, very dangerous!!!!!

@JayhawkRock78 I'm glad to read your post! I just watched video from the locker room, and it really makes me sad for those KIDS! It seems so easy for us adults to lay blame on this or that, but in the long run, the players put a lot of work in for a long time and they are hurting far more than we are! I will take andrew wiggins on my team any day. Can't say enough great things about Tarik, he will be successful, even w/tats!
