@JayHawkFanToo Tarik is a good example of what a positive environment (KU) can do for a young person! He's a huge blessing to this team, in so many ways! I think he's been a victim of this new foul system and was frustrated and probably still will be. I have a hard time understanding why some fans think this young team doesn't have chemistry. Watching Tarik's dunk and his team mates reaction was pure joy for me! Just glad coach Self brought him here. Whatever Tarik decides to do, he will always be a great leader!

Man do I wish Wiggins was coming back too. If he thought this was hard, what about next year? He does have a strong support system, so that will help. I would like to think his dad could see that he could use more time developing here. Will miss his great attitude and smile!!
@HighEliteMajor we did! My point was that they had the worst luck, everything went wrong! That's why we call it March madness!

@741hawk I'm guessing strength might be one factor, not at practice so don't know. In the ou game, he had 2, maybe 3 fouls in a couple of minutes. His man scored 6 pts. Conner fouled his man on a made 3 pt'er. Made the ft, then fouled again, his man made 2 ft's. Felt bad for him.
@DinarHawk my point is, doesn't the amount of victories Self has, prove that most of the time he motivates them? Someone help me out here! I think the WSU kids would be motivated w/out Marshall. I can just picture Self calling Marshall, "hey coach Marshall, this is coach chicken hawk here, would you help me motivate my chicken hawks?"

@jaybate 1.0 I have always thought that way. Kindergarten teachers do a screening, size and bdays are taken into consideration. Discouraging boys w/summer bdays. But wouldn't it be different if retention is in jr high?

A question, I heard some of the Espn guys say regarding the tourney, that osu shouldn't be penalized for losing while smart was out, for punishment!!!! Well, if we sit out Embiid does that work for us, even if it's health and not an assault?
@REHawk I did not know this! In Kansas, we hold kids back in kindergarten or 1st grade. I know if your son has a summer bday, they encourage you to wait a year. Hearing that the Wiggins family did this explains why they want him in the NBA pronto. Jr high is a tough time for many kids, wonder how this effects them, mentally and emotionally. Retention is usually an embarrassment to kids. But, if done for athletic purposes, maybe it's viewed differently. Interesting! Did you all know about this?
@approxinfinity love the pride they have in playing D! I like that coach. Watched that coach and then Cal. No doubt who I'd prefer to coach and teach young men! I was impressed.
