@drgnslayr bad thing on my part, I had just said that I didn't like the Black-Traylor combo when they went in. Love being wrong, those charges were insane! He is so deserving of positive reinforcement!

@CaptnMo I think probably Hoiberg knows coach pretty well too. We had a fb coach that stuck to his same plan for years, he's reasoning was, we execute so well, doesn't matter what the other team does. I'm sure we have a few new wrinkles, but I hope that Doc won't make a difference.

@MoonwalkMafia take plays off? Do we want Wiggins to play w/the rest of our team, or shoot and drive every time? Wiggins is trying to be part of our team! Someone told me they didn't think there were enough balls to go around on this team. It really pisses me off to hear that crap! I was at the game, got some hi 5's from the team-I'm not a teen either. It was a total blast to be there. Hopefully my kstate fans will shut the heck up for awhile! I also loved the uni's.

@Wishawk if Wiggins weren't here, I 'd start Greene at 3. Saw Selden go in for Wiggins at the end of game, Mason and Tharpe 1 and 2

@Wishawk you are wrong! Wiggins playing is not the reason white or any other guy is seating the bench. We don't know the reason, could he be eligible for red shirt due to the hip injury? I know he's played some minutes. Are you in practice and that is why you think he deserves more time?

@AsadZ wiggins had 2 to's for the game. I'm trusting Self on this one. Earlier there were a few times he sat him, so I don't think he's treating him differently. I think he's trying to think to much, he's 18, some crappy fouls being called on him and I think he wants to be a team guy. For his own sake and the team, I want him to figure this out. He picked Kansas for a reason, and he's got my respect for that alone!

@truehawk93 I think tonight's game is huge! We need to see a confident team playing great defense and having fun. I think tonight's game dictates where we go in league, hopefully on top!

@justanotherfan really great point! 2 of my kids played college fb, the words that came out of their coaches mouths (2 different coaches) were unimaginable. A lot of people wouldn't bring young kids to games. My sons told me that those words were they only way some of those kids could "get it". Bill Self "gets it". He knows how to relate to kids and their parents.

@iowajayhawk2005 don't really think we are blaming any new coaches, just wanting to hear opinions. Really liked Dooley!

@wissoxfan83 pretty harsh to grade kids you don't know! Is this based on work? Or is it based on your judgement that they don't care? Maybe you should check their homework too.

@drgnslayr that's exactly why Self could bench Tharpe, he responded. Coach knows what he's doing w/Wayne.

@Wishawk we could always ask blown, he gets to visit w/players and could always interrogate them.

@drgnslayr thanks! These kids are beat up, love being positive. Besides bench, maybe add some great coaching assets too. Great post!

@Hawk8086 I asked a friend if he thought Wiggins was lazy and playing half-assed like so many poster are saying. He said Wiggins is thinking way to much, and trying to be a team player and not a super star. He also thought he could be more aggressive but that was between him and coach.

@Case he also does the same thing on offense, doesn't anticipate, which is why he doesn't have many steals. Same can be said for others on team. From my chair at home I'm really good at all those things.

@MoonwalkMafia I noticed a couple of very fundamental things he doesn't do, meeting the ball, and react. He has to think before he reacts. There was a rebound heading his way and the man he was guarding, reacted to it, Wayne went to ball after his man did. It worked out and a foul was called on SDSU, but it could have gone the other way. Hope that makes sense.
