What are some proposed division splits? Geographically, it's a mess. I don't think they'll split KU/Kstate. Do any of the Texas schools really have a rivalry? Do the four Texas schools end up in one division? Does it really matter? Maybe just draw them out of a hat, but make sure BYU and CFU aren't in the same div. ??
South: Baylor, Tech, Houston, TCU, OkieState, UCF
North: KU, Kstate, ISU, Cinci, WVU, BYU
or
West: Tech, TCU, BYU, Kstate, KU, Okie State
East: Houston, Baylor, WVU, Cincy, ISU, UCF
Disastrous first quarter instead of disastrous third or fourth quarter. ISU kept playing like they were amped up on roids avenging KU for every basketball loss over the past 25 years.

To add to the Big Dave factor. We know Big Dave works hard and is is going to be better, more comfortable, and a more efficient (if not a spectacular physical) presence than last year. I think a big part of Self's offense will be with a big smart Dave and a totally unleashed Ochai... if those two can figure out how to work together, we're good. Really good.
watched the JMU game last night in a Lawrence sports bar for a while. It was more interesting than the Royals-Twins game. Went to a bunch of college softball games at Tennessee when we lived in Knoxville (Monica Abbott era). FUN FUN FUN to watch, and I doubt I could hit 77 mph rising fastball. Reflexes know no gender boundaries. :zany_face:

I'm happy with the choice. I always wonder why a decent coach would take the KU job, but then I remember that they'll get paid millions even if they don't win a game.
