Yep bodies help. What's the word on Silvio? His he going to be able to play second semester? Is it a done deal? Or is it still up in the air?

I like Mitch, I really do. He tries hard and loves KU. He is fine to have on the roster. I don't think anyone would argue that.
Keep in mind with Landen though... if Doke stays healthy, even Landen doesn't have a Landen sr year.
HUH? I'm a little confused. Help me understand what you're saying. I'm a little slow too.
I don't know? I kind of like Mitch. In this day in age of a player with a little talent leaving early. It's kind of refreshing to see a player that will stick around for awhile. Will he be a super star? No. But I can see a Landon Lucas type senior year out of the kid.
Ask yourself this question? After 4 years of Mitch? Who you going to really remember? Some OAD or old subpar Mitch that is only good enough to go over seas and play?
I was lucky enough to hear a Kentucky basketball radio show a couple weeks ago in my travels. Talk about hard reality. One caller after another was calling in complaining they didn't know any of the players, and no desire to. Seeing how they'd be leaving after the season was over anyways. It wasn't something I hadn't considered. Always thought UK fans were just giddy to have the top talent rolling in year after year. It was an eye opener for me.
Everybody loves winning. Yet being a KU fan one of my greatest pleasures is seeing kids like Mitch gut it out for 4 years. You get to know them. You create a bond with them. You can actually see the improvement in their game. Take Svi for example? The kid is putting on a show this year. Showing aspects of his game I wasn't sure was even there.
Besides Mitch has a nice stroke from three land. LOL
Nice solid win for KU last night. Forget the final score. KU played for a good solid 40 minutes. The competention may have not have been stellar but the KU effort was. Especially loved the effort and desire to get into the paint. Coach is going to have a hard time nitpicking this game.
The overall look of this KU team seems solid. Perimeter play is obviously a strong point this team. It's stacked with skill, athletic ability, and veteran play. That alloyop pass to Svi from the other end of the court is just something you don't see very often. With addition of Doka as a rim protector the defense on the perimeter has really picked up from the last couple of years. They can take more chances knowing Doka is down there to clean up the mess.
Where I draw a question at. Is down low. It's not the play or effort. Doka has shown he can score with the ball or without the ball. His court awareness is a thing of beauty. Very seldom is he out of place. A bonus he doesn't care about looking pretty. He just wants to tear down the rim. It's almost like he's mad it. LOL
Even the on and off again Mitch showed that he has some game. He has a desire to play bigger than he really is. I think this is why some KU fans refer to the claim, "He plays With the heart of a lion". If he can learn to play with in himself? He can be a solid minutes eater coming off the bench.
No Doka and MItch are doing a fine job. Yet that is the problem. After them? There is nobody else. There is no depth down low. Preston could help but how long before he gets to step on the court again. If he does get to play sometime down the road? How far behind will he be in his growing and learning on how to play at the college level. Is he still practicing with the team?
With the all the greatness that KU has on the perimeter, and Dunka roaming the point. At some point KU will have to face their greatest weakness. No depth in the paint.
It will happen. The pereimeter shots won't fall. An opposing coach will have the intellect to keep the KU guards out of the paint. The worst will be when that one referee blows his whistle everything he just looks at Dunka.
We only have to look back to the Kentucky game. When Doka was in the game KU seemed to hum. Even pulling away on the scoreboard at times. When Doka was riding the pine catching a breather, Kentucky was able to close the gap and even take the lead. KU gutted out that game. A tip of the cap. Showed real leadership. Yet in that same breath not so sure Kentucky doesn't win that game if they had some leadership coming down the stretch in that game.
What happens when Doka is riding the pine because of foul trouble?
A Proplexed KU team indeed....
Thank you for thurthfullness. I think I'm going to bow out of the conversation/debate. As I feel I think I've over stepped my boundaries.
I don't want to hurt anybody. Just pointing that bad things happen on both sides of the aisle.
I agree Trump should just keep his mouth shut. He tweets to much.
Causes him to much problems.

Um it wasn't the Dems that impeached old Bill. Yea it was the Reps.
You want a different president? OK tell me who we should vote for? Talk to me.
What took so long. And why all the hate to Trump for merely speech. As we all now he is a blowhard. Yet when you had and actually president that did the deed. The dem party did nothing?
Then why did your party spend so much time protecting him. Until now? After all these years now the Dem party ponies up says yea OLd Bill got a free pass?

@DoubleDD Men have been doing terrible things to women for years.
Years ago, no one listened to any complaints ("he said, she said"). Last year, one was facing a trial (hung jury) while someone else who bragged about it got elected President. The first was progress, comparatively.
This year, many men are losing their jobs. Much greater progress.
Why did it take a year to make a difference to you?
And I bet you had know problem with Bill Clinton? LOL

It's a good point. Yet isn't a person innocent until found guilty?
Me personally I think he's guilty. Yet Our certain government structure won't allow us to get the bottom of it.
Do know the rep party has pulled all funding on him.
A hit piece? I don't think so. I think he's guilty. Yet how do you feel about old chuck? Does he get a free pass?
Me myself the bigger issue is why are all these politicians coming out doing terrible things to women.
But hey we can talk Lavar and Trump making money together?

@mayjay Shucks, for all we know, The Donald might actually own the controlling interest in BBB. Just be using this guy LaVar and his talented offspring as a marketing tool to sell those $495.00 sneakers to kids who thrive at the game of hoops; folks who would not otherwise be inclined to buy from a rare political icon who denigrates their sports stars. We are living in shady times, turmoil on the roll.
But the big boys proceed with the clocking of dollars.
really think Trump is with Lavar? OK
I see you have no real legit stance. Just bash Trump.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. As your a great poster.
Yet come on tell me you're not waiting for the breaking news special that Trumps fart don't smell like Mexican food.
so he must be a racist.

@Crimsonorblue22 "I have Obamacare."
Unfortunately, hundreds of politicians (congressmen and senators and the Prez) who think that that fact is a failure.
Really? Come on Judge? You know Obamacare has failed. really?
Expecting the youth to pay for coverage they don't need? And punishing those that already have healthcare?
How many states and counties don't even have the option?
I get the heart was in the right place. Yet come on?
mayjay said:
@DoubleDD Look, give it a rest. You are always looking for fights. Would you please notice that I originally said I agree with the Donald about La Var?
I'm not picking any fights. Just answer the call to those that want the same old same old. That want to take pot shots like somehow they know or are better. Yet they never want to shine the light on the party they LIke. Spare me.
Acting like the American people want more of the Clinton Family, and yes even Obama? See the last election? UM unless you live in New York or Cali?? UMMM
I just want to talk KU basketball.
mayjay said:
@DoubleDD So can you. We can work together on this.
NOt me I'm going to vote for him again. You people are nuts. Obamacare sucks. We gave billions of tax payers monies to a country that wants to wipe American of the face of the earth. We had the dem Party sell Uranium to Russia? You know the country that affected our recent elections?
The old saying if you do what you have always done expecting a different result? Yes it's time of change.
YOur smart guy Trump may not be the person. Yet maybe he burns enough bridges that we and I mean we Americans finally get a Preisident we want.
Um The president is a multi billionaire. Lavar is trying to make hey off his children?
Yet somehow Lavar is a gensis? Seems more like a scam bag to me.
His kid just got caught stealing in a foreign country that doesn't recognize our laws. If it was me I would be grateful that the president dem/Rep stepped in to help my kid.
Yet it's Trump so forget that.
You know you can always vote him out? Maybe this next election you can a dem prepresenative to actually visits certain states instead of taking them for granted?
Well if big baller is making money of the the feud of Lavar and Trump?
I'm pretty sure it's persons that Hate trump. Persons that are willing to overlook that a kid stole some highend stuff in a foreign country.
A country that doesn't hold our views on stealing stuff.
I get it no big deal, Yet in China it's a big deal. Trump doesn't step in? Who knows what happens?
Just like when Obama didn't step in on the Otto kid. Even though American taxpayers pay North Korea More than they deserve.
Fair enough. However I would say if my son or daughter got caught stealing in a foreign country like China. And the president stepped in to help I would be thankful but that's just me.
I know so many think China is a free country because they are a capitalist country. (Cough) they're not.
Lavar is being stupid. The old saying bad press is better than no press? Oh wait I'm sure the
Trump haters are lining up to buy big baller shoes right now. Doesn't matter that his kid stole some high end merchandise. Haha. Now that's funny right?
Ask Otto Warmbiers parents how they feel about their kid stealing in a foreign country? And all he stole was a poster.
It's all fun and games until some one dies. Not so funny.

Wait never mind.
You can create space if you must. LOL
Man I feel bad for the kid. Yet He chose MU? Really?
MU? How much did he get paid? Or the better question how much did his Dad get paid?
Grinding an axe here so bare with me. Some claim MU is KU's natural rivalry? How is that? When KU has kicked the crap out of MU. Win/loses don't lie. KU has kicked the crap out of MU. They only thing that remotely makes MU and KU a rivalry is what happened way back in the day when MU was a slave state and didn't want KU to be a free state. Muck MU.
Come on dude? why stir the pot?
It would be one thing if you were making some valid post but man all you doing is showing your hate for the Trump family.
Just let it go and if you don't like the president vote him out?
I kind of think it's much simpler than that. These kids maybe superstars in the making. Yet they are still kids. And with kids comes the in thing. You know what is cool or the flavor of the month.
Kentucky was the in thing and may still be. Yet this recent recruiting class though is great. Is a drop off from previous recruiting classes.
I assume the fad is changing for what ever reason and now KU is becoming the in thing.
Or I could be just full of crap.
For an offense scheme I would like to see KU get back to the basics or steal a page out of the old NE teams. Get you the biggest and strongest corn fed boys you can find to play the lines of offense and defense. Then find an old school full back, and a new age scat back. Top it off with a QB that has a decent arm. Then just pound the football. Lightening and Thunder.
Reality is KU football will never recruit like the big boys. So why run a type of offensive that requires you to have such talent to run. In my opinion your just playing right into the hands of the schools that out recruit you and run a lot of the same stuff.
With KU being so outrecruited by just raw talent. It's best succes would come with ball control. Chewing up clock. Grabbing first downs. The Big 10 and the SEC have made a living at doing this. Looking at the landscape of college football. This approach has served them well.
You have to be careful when reading stuff from the likes of Lunardi. He's not a bad guy by anymeans. He just works for ESPN. The east coast sports network.
Also lets not forget ESPN owns the ACC lock, stock, and barrel. If not for ESPN I'm not sure the ACC would even be around anymore.
So it's only nature that the talking heads of ESPN would protect their investment. After all a paycheck is money.
The Spartans look like a team this is going to lose a few more games this season. What's new? I can never figure out why the Spartas are always ranked so high to begin the season? Yet they always shock the world when the lose a few games. They had Duke and they just didn't close. I figure this won't be the last. They seem a bit challenged on offense.
I have to say Duke looked good. They looked flashy, and showed they can grind. Duke may flirt with history this year? Undefeated? I wonder if Duke goes undefeated if the naysayers will say they played in a weak conference? Also starting to wander if Coach K doesn't teach his players how to be dirty. That Duke elbow that leveled that poor Spartan was just not right. Kid should have been thrown from the game. I'm really starting to think Coach K teaches how to play dirty and not get caught.
Kentucky is going to take some lumps this year. Yes they have some serious talent, yet they lack some serious skill. Let's be honest here? With KU's shooting woes from the outside. Kentucky should've blown out KU. This Wildcat team lacks some serious leadership. Not something I think that can be fixed overnight. Maybe by tournament time? Maybe? Either way Coach Cal has his work cut out for him. I will say this young Kentucky team are gamers. However at the end of the day if you can't close out the game it doesn't matter. Kentucky is going to play to many close games, and without skill/leadership. There going to lose some games.
KU has me feeling a mixed bag of emotions. Love a win and especially love a win over UK. However this Preston thing is starting to become a serious distraction. The loss of Preston could make or break this team. KU appears to me as some of those Villinova teams that were guard heavy. If the shots are falling tough to beat. If the shots don't? Well a lot of KU fans will be sweating bullets. After UDoka's extreme I'm the man showing. Look for Coach to tap into a one man wrecking machine in the post. Also I'm afraid after what UDoka showed against UK's big man OAD machine? He just rose in all draft boards. If he can find peace with the free throw line. He's gone. I mean this is his last year wearing a Jayhawks uni.
Working hard brother. Just working hard. Always looking though. Always. Love you peanut heads.

Graham, Vick, Svi, Newman keep the bunch poised and locked in and we take advantage of a Kentucky defense that isn't very good right now.
That's my brother. That's what I'm talking about.
Sure UK has talent yet so does KU. Plus some of talent is experienced. Plus again some of that KU talent is experienced in beating UK. UM the last two meetings.
KU and UK hook up tonight. Everything says KU should win by at least 12 points.
I'm going to shed a tear if they don't.
I know I'm being shallow as a fan and person. Yet I'm so tired of the UK hype machine. I just am.
If KU loses this game it's on them. Period.
KU shouldn't hope it win they should expect to win.
I'm not sure UK is ready this early in the season for by all points a game against a veteran team like KU. Let's not forget there are alot of players on this team that have beaten the mighty Wildcats the last two times they have played.
Why the hate of Wiggs. Let's say your right that Wiggs didn't lay it all on the line as you and some others of said in the past.
Is that his fault? Think about this for a second. You're guaranteed to be one of the highest paid NBA players. All you have to do is not get hurt. Would you risk it? Would you risk being set for life and a life of wealth. I life that will open doors that the average person will never get. Would you risk it. Would risk all that so some old KU and some new KU fans can sit around the bar and computers and talk the time Wiggs led KU to a NC?
Yea it sucks as KU fans, as maybe we didn't get to see the best of what Wiggs had to offer. Yet don't blame the kid. Blame the system. Most of these OAD's have no desire to play the college game. They only do because the system says they have to.
Even HC new this when he told Embid to go. Think about that? Embid wanted to stay and Coach said no you go while the iron is hot. As usually Coach was right.
You know I'm really preplexed here.
Does a team only become truly special after they win the NC? I know that teams do great things even if they don't win the NC. Yet are they special, or are they just a nice story? A footnote in the scrolls of College Basketball history. Only to be forgotten as time moves on.
I really thought last's year team was special. In someways I still do. The combo of Frank Mason and Graham is something us KU fans may never see again. Also as someone mentioned the loss of Doka really did hurt last years team. They had Vick and Svi coming off the bench. Thank about that? Vick and Svi would be starting on almost every other team in the country. Last years team had the makings of being special. However as fate would have it. They ran into a buzz saw. A team that exploited their one weakness over and over again. However the point is that team was special.
This years team seems to me? To have the makings of a very special team. However it's the unknowns about this team that have me preplexed. The talent is there. The veteran/experience is there. Three pointing is there. Paint scoring is there. They can run and they can play half court.
Yet the biggest question I have is can they rebound?
Will rebounding make or break this KU team?
To win a NC is very hard. Sometimes is takes a team to grow together, sometimes is just getting the right pieces at the right time. Veterans teams have won the NC? Rookie teams have won the NC? Half and Half teams have won the NC?
So is this current KU team special? Does this team flutter your heart strings. Or are we just looking at another oh-hum season?
It appears to me the talent is there? Yet is this the season? I see strengths, yet I also see weakness.
So are KU fans cheering for another Big 12 championship and a final 8 run as success? Or do we see something more.
I like winning but man a NC would just stoke me to no end.
So were are we at? Should us KU fans temper our expectations? Or should we get crazy and dream that this might be the year?
Nailed it. Yet you missed one.
Sleeping with crack heads brings on diseases that don't wash away.
Sorry that was rude. I mean we have to show respect to the renewed rivalry. We have to bend over and kiss that MU arse. Because it's good to have a rivalry.
Doesn't this just feel good? Well now I must go take a shower with lye soap
No because Duke, Spartans, Florida wouldn't play KU in a exhibition game they know better. Why risk it when it counts for nothing? KU was charitable all they way around in this game. All the way around.
Glad to see KU kick MU in the game and donations.
Nah I don't kiss anybodies arse. I think your a strong poster with goods points. But I'll fight you to the death before I kiss your arse.
I hope your right. That MU team is awful young. But I'm trusting you to be right.
Really? Should KU be playing MU in an exhibition game? Playing a team that has nothing to lose and everything to gain. What does KU gain from this game? Other than experience? Just a few of the questions I've been spouting.
God I want to like you, but I feeling you just hate me.
Ok so in your mind who has the higher ceiling? Now be honest. You're folk lore when it comes to college football.
Who has the higher ceiling MU or KU? And who gained more from this matchup?
So you don't think I bring up a great question? I'm just trying have a conversation. Yet every time I engage you I get this feeling like I'm wasteing your time.
Just going off what you post.
No I get it, really get you. But @Big-Clyde52 brought up a good point what if a KU player got hurt in a top 25 showdown in a exhibition game?
KU won today, and it feels goods. Especially beating MU. Yet what if KU lost? What if KU lost Doka today to a MU team that had nothing to lose and was playing on 7 fouls before fouling out.
Look you and others make a great case I must admit. Just not sure I like it. MU had everything to gain in this game and KU had everything to lose in this game.
KU won this game and I'm happy but I'm thinking KU fans that live in the KC area are going to find out MU won the war. As there about to be bombarded with MU and their potential.
I know you hate me bro, but you're right a Kstate verses the Shockers would have been a must watch game.
A true money raiser. Maybe you missed your calling?
Big Clyde You just brought another interesting point of view. What if a KU player got hurt in an exhibition game against a top foe? A game that doesn't count.
You nailed it.
Haven't seen any numbers but I imagine the almost two million KU and MU raised would be hard to beat.
I'm sorry you were asking a legitimate question. My bad. My guess they did alright. Any money for charitable cause is a good thing.
No I get you KU playing MU brings in the money. Something I said maybe I should focus in on. It was for a good cause. Yet read some of these posts? Now KU should play a top 25 team in the exhibition season every year? I wonder what the feeling would be if KU had lost today?
That is funny. Sounds like a lot? Lol
KU playing Washborn, emporia st, and Pitt st are major pay days for these local schools. Now remember KU is a public college. Meaning they receive state money.
So you want KU to get on the wrong side of these schools and the policial structure to play out of state top 25 teams in exhibition games?
I'm just asking?
You say rivalry but KU owns MU in basketball. Are you speaking of a rivalry of slavery? Yea thats something to hang your hat on. This whole damn rivalry is based off slavery.
Think about it.
