Bill said he was all conference in practice this week.
I would’ve put lots of money on that being total coachspeak. Crow is great with spicy brown mustard btw
That was sexy
Once again I am begging you to keep playing 1-3-1

Who is Phelps?
DE from Miami (OH). 8.5 sacks last year. Was our #1 target for the late period.
Phelps committed. He’ll be in Lawrence Monday to start class Tuesday. Ky isn’t a total lock but looking very good right nkw
Gonna be a good long weekend my dudes and dudettes 😎
I’m all for giving Yes extended run tomorrow. Only time he’s ever done it in games was his wild stretch for Drake last March. He adds some needed athleticism and can be a very good on-ball defender with his quickness and length. I don’t quite trust Bobby against WVU’s pressure. Whether they go full court or not, it’ll be a big challenge for a freshman.
Nick Bahe is doing color on Purdue Nubs. Pretty neat.

Will he get healthy is certainly my question at this point.
Bill sounds... not optimistic about him coming back super soon.

One guy saying that they should bring in Pitino lol.
I told my KSU buddy this and he's very, very much against it. "Would be something KU would do and we don't do things that way" was his answer lmao
@nwhawkfan nice
@Crimsonorblue22 well we sat at a table I guess 😂? It’s freaking impossible to get an appointment to test if you’re asymptomatic here. Like a week+ out. Could’ve been someone else too, who knows?
Sooo I went on a date Saturday and might have gotten her sick with Covid. I’ve never had symptoms and getting a test in a college town is harder than finding El Dorado (the city of gold, not the one in Kansas). But I did travel a decent amount so you never know. UNC is approaching 1000 new cases per week, though thankfully no reports of serious illness. My department is fully remote through at least next week. These kids are having a rough time with it. We polled them before the semester and something like 75% wanted all in-person instruction. So it’s kind of a mess here.

@FarmerJayhawk what’s Kenpom weight remy’s effect on the team to win versus his actual output (stats in games played)
If you’re going to go all analyst on me that’s fine appreciate the conversation at least. Haven’t been on the board in years because guys can’t handle a conflicting viewpoint if you don’t bow at the alter of Self. When I tried to pontificate on how the games played or really talk ball others just call names because they haven’t played a day in their life and literally besides name calling or grammar analysis they can’t keep up.
I appreciated HEM because he’d call people out begging for other viewpoints to discuss instead of
“Trust self”
“He can do no wrong”
“You don’t see practice”We come to this board to discuss if people can’t do that because they have nothing to add then what is the point here?
Ken doesn't explicitly weight for individual players as far as I know. The fine details of his model are proprietary, but I could probably get close to replicating it based on the details he's published. It's more like how many points do you score and how many do you give up, then adjusting that by opponent strength to estimate probabilities of winning using the methods from Lawrence legend (and KU fan!) Bill James back when. So if you score a shatload of points against a high efficiency defense, that's really good, irrespective of who actually played. For example, if a starting lineup of Harris, Yesufu, Wilson, Mitch, and Dave (and all played 35 minutes) hung 100 on LSU (the #1 ranked defense) that would be the same as if (pick your 5 and minutes) also scored 100 against LSU.
@kuballin10 sure, with Remy and Zach out. KenPom adjusts for who you play. A common statistical technique to get unbiased results.
@kuballin10 KenPom is a good measure right now. If that doesn’t do it for you they gave up over 90 to Memphis and Missouri. They flat suck on defense. There’s no evidence to say otherwise. Or much of anything that says they’re better than us.
@kuballin10 we’re 30 spots higher on defense in KenPom. Also please point to where I said we were playing good defense. Everyone knows Bama can’t guard anybody. Ffs they lost to Missouri
@kuballin10 they’re good. Do you want me to say they suck?
Bama can’t guard their shadows
We win!!

The interesting thing here is the IARP looks to be the one wanting a different kind of process, not KU. Wonder if they got through the infractions and were like oof there’s not 5 L1’s here
Why do you think the IARP is the one seeking a new process? Seems like KU initiated? @FarmerJayhawk
“Oct. 1 — “The Complex Case Unit requested a case management plan status conference to discuss the amended case management plan #2.”
Oct. 5 — “The Complex Case Unit submitted proposed draft procedures for an alternative method for the resolution of the case to the chief panel member. On that same date, the chief panel held a case management plan status conference to discuss scheduling deadlines and a request for an alternative method of resolution.””
From the IARP administrative timeline, it reads a lot like they want to cut a deal and took it to KU.

Ky will be in the house tonight. Also Phelps moved up his visit to tomorrow. Visiting Va Tech this weekend now. Boo.
I thought KY was this weekend, but anyways good we got him in. - -Stil think though if K/state offers probably going to be hard to get him to come, think they was in on him pretty good before wasn't they ?
Also transfers - - Morrison - -Kalon Gervin - -& Nolan Gorczyca all on campus so probably be at the game tonight also
Unofficial tonight, official this weekend. Good to get everyone in. On KSU, I think enough time has passed where that looks pretty unlikely
oh, K-State still hasn't offered buddy ? - -maybe they already know KU in solid possibly. - - I think that bodes well if he is coming for an un-official and then coming back this weekend for an offical - you would think that has to be good right ? - Ya your right I'm glad these guys n campus
Not yet! That could be. I really think KU is in the driver’s seat.
