Norm is workin lately. Not sure KU has a great shot here but he is a great talent. Seems like Auburn is the favorite.

They issued a self-ban on postseason play this year. Stunning and brave.

New OL coach! Lee Grimes. Played at A&M, coached at Minnesota and most recently Charlotte. Deep connections in Texas. Fits the mold of Les’s hires so far. Comes from a big college program, and is young and hungry. We’ll see if it pays off. I at least think it’s an upgrade over Meadows (I know, low bar.)

Back from Christmas social hiatus Hot Taek: we would’ve been worse with RJ. Not really a shooter, and Moss singlehandedly won us a game or two. He was kind of redundant to Dot.

It has not. I really think he ends up in 21 though.

The lockdown in the Netherlands really hurt Enaruna. Couldn’t get in the weight room, was hard to find a place to put up shots, couldn’t be around his teammates and had to work around the time differences, etc. Really hope he sticks because he’s really talented.

Yes. After a year he can go on scholarship and not use an initial counter. He’ll count agains the 85 but not the 25 counter cap.

Any time my man. Also, White signing bumped us to #6 in the Big 12. It’s a minor miracle we could put together a class like this after getting housed all year.

Yeah, he's not going to KSU. That program is an absolute trash fire right now has almost no appeal to anyone of note.

KU has now announced Scott. I think Grays is close to a lock, there was just some bureaucracy that meant he couldn’t sign early. I feel pretty confident Edwin White will announce he’s signed with KU tomorrow. And so will end the early period.

So tell me , - - what do you think about the smoke from people that say KU is trying to get involved with the Washington 4 * QB that entered the Transfer Portal ? - -You think there is any fire to that or just a bunch of idle smoke ? - - He had a family member play at KU sometime back I guess , whatcha think ? - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

They’ll reach out to any they think can play right away and have multiple years. I don’t know whether that interest is being reciprocated though. We may not have anyone until after spring ball.

I get that. My point is those guys are outliers. Perfect example in this class. Tank Young from Aquinas is 5’6. If he was 5’10 205 would he have more offers? Maybe, but his tape and measureables don’t warrant a spot at KU, even though he put up gaudy numbers. He’s definitely not Sproles, who KU absolutely whiffed on.

Holy lord Okie State choked. Lost by 1 on a 9-0 TCU run to close it out.

Ok that’s 2 examples in close to 40 years. You’re ignoring the legions of undersized guys without solid measureables that can’t do it at this level.

If you look at our really good teams over the years, they all had real pro talent. The Orange Bowl team had Talib, Harris, Hawkinson, Briscoe, etc. Mason’s best teams had pro talent on the lines.

I’d rather take my chances with guys who look good on film and can develop than diamonds in the rough. Beaty tried that and it went poorly.

Only two verbals that didn't sign are Lawrence and Grays. If we can keep those two plus land a transfer (Les wants true or RS frosh from the portal) that's a grand slam in 21. At some point I'll sketch out a ROUGH two deep for next season. From what I have now, it'll be mostly guys with 3 or less years in the program. It's coming.
