Itâs getting torn down to the studs (plus Jamari)
Wasn't Jamari supposed to be a great shooter? We gonna see that next year?
Heâs got some potential there. But right now heâs a poor mans Travis Releford

Yeah you have a relationship and keep in touch but flying out for a senior nightâŚsays a whole lot
Go find me where Self or an assistant went to Josh Jackson, or Embiid, or Wiggins Senior Night and get back to me
Thereâs some smoke that yeah adidas is holding this together but the reason Townsend was out there on a Friday night wasnât because âIâm supporting DP for senior nightâ
Well Josh and Wiggs didnât commit until after their seasons were over so there was no worry theyâd decommit before they committed. Darryn is as rock solid as it gets to KU.
Super stoked for the seniors. Really nice win.
@wissox right? So far we've traded for a starting center and Thuney. Ben and Poles aren't messing around in rebuilding the OL.
His base doesnât care but I was somewhat amused at the basics of the federal budget he just totally made up
@Crimsonorblue22 getting there! Iâm still pretty tired and coughing a lot but I can at least get out and do a few things here and there.
Holy hell this is no joke. It wiped out pretty much all my February. Stay well, folks.

I love that Diggy is coming back. Heâs a perfect 8/9th man and wonât chase away any portal guys

@FarmerJayhawk That's the point.
Miami who is terrible and MSU who doesnât really use the portal? Unless itâs sarcasm I missed?
@jay4ever said in If Billâs roster falls apartâŚ:
@kuballin10 Nah, not just because of the big three, Iâd say. A great coach will be able to model plays based on each player's capability, instead of forcing them to play his way. That's what we're seeing night in and night out.
Flory will flourish had he played in teams like Miami, or MSU. There's something really wrong when you see transfers' numbers go down across the board. The system is bad. Period.
Those are WILD examples
A win is a win. Not an inspiring one but they all count the same.
If itâs me, Iâm hiring a front office type group with a GM, recruiting guys, and analysts to do all the portal scouting and most of the recruiting. Itâs clearly paid huge dividends on the football side and Iâm not sure a small handful of assistant coaches can handle coaching, scouting, the portal, and NIL. Go get some young, hungry guys who want to prove themselves. Iâd look at the NBA first.
@kjayhawks the Roy thing I donât get. In 14 years at KU, he got bounced in the second round 5 times, the Sweet 16 4, Elite Eight once, 3 final fours, 2 championship games, 0 titles. By any measure Bill has been far better than Roy at KU. If Bill had Royâs record at KU people would be chasing him out of Lawrence with torches and pitchforks.
Beyond basketball, which Bill absolutely deserves to hang around, it would be a nearly $30 million expense plus paying buyouts and salaries of a new staff, so probably over $40 million total. Looking forward to the proposals on how to pay for that when we have NIL, RevShare, and finishing the stadium on the ADs books.
@wissox thank you, itâs been a tough week. And seeing her dragged through the mud because the White House was talking out of their posterior didnât help

@dylans Coach Z got his man https://247sports.com/Player/jaylen-mason-46143819/ â
@SlimShaddy54 way too early to say definitively one way or another but Iâd say better than even money heâs back.
@BeddieKU23 Diggy will be able to use the JuCo waiver
And Parker will commit soon as well. This is fun.
I need to do WAY more research to figure out whoâs got what, but 8-4 seems like a reasonable goal. Iâm really optimistic about the offense. Itâll look a lot more like 22-23 than 24 in terms of motions, shifts, option game. The OL and DB groups are a little concerning. But itâs the Big 12, everyone is varying degrees of mediocre so who knows?
@Crimsonorblue22 yeah, the Johnnieâs thing was a nice touch!
Again, say whatever about the lineups, Bill, a boarâs ass, on your own time. AFH is hallowed ground. You donât bitch about work at church. And thatâs the last Iâm saying about it. Great win tonight, Iâm looking forward to Saturday at the Annual Bramlage Sellout.
@kuballin10 he doesnât care much at all. And not like he came over the mic and said hey students you suck. Worth noting he never called out my cohorts even when we had a couple not great years.
@kuballin10 when the Fieldhouse is pumped and not bitching about lineups it absolutely rattles people. They can complain in the dorms on discord or here or wherever but when theyâre in that building, you either cheer your ass off for whoâs on the court or be loud as hell to rattle the other team or boo the refs. Thatâs it.
@kuballin10 yeah itâs a real huge mystery who they want benched. Itâs an absolute chickenshit move for the crowd to start bitching about lineups when weâre beating a top 10 team. Stay in your lane, AFH crowd. Yelling at Self wonât rattle the road team. Do that shit on your own time.
@kuballin10 they chanted âwe want Floryâ when KJ started
KJ takes a lot of static (even from our own crowd tonight, which was chickenshit) but he was very good tonight. Glad to see him bounce back. It was a good matchup for him as well. ISU isnât exactly the prime Warriors in terms of offensive execution so his athleticism and toughness really stood out.
@kjayhawks thank you, bud. Itâs been a rough couple days. It doesnât help to see her slandered all over the internet but such is the world we live in. But the truth is what matters.
@nuleafjhawk thank you, nuleaf. Iâm also angry because of all the misinformation (much of which came from 1600 Penn) about the pilot before her name was released. I can assure everyone Rebecca, a 4.0 student and college hooper, didnât need special treatment to accomplish whatever she wanted in this life.
@approxinfinity thank you, approx. Everyone go read as much as you can about Rebecca. Itâs a tragedy but her impact was really something
@Crimsonorblue22 than you, Crims. Iâm heartbroken. She was really the best of us. Also a certified hooper. If she wasnât called to public service she couldâve been a D1 coach no question. May her memory be eternal.
Oh this is awful. Rebecca and I dated for a hot second and remained friends after it was clear we werenât compatible. In addition to being a total badass, she was a total sweetheart. This sucks. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/soldier-aboard-black-hawk-chopper-midair-collision-identified-rebecca-lobach-former-white-house-aide/ â
Great half. Hard to complain much. Love seeing Rylan and Diggy make some.
@approxinfinity yeah, I donât have any issue with PE in general, but PE and college athletics (who are technically non-profits) seems like a marriage destined to go poorly.
@approxinfinity said in Good news for KU/Big 12- -TV:
@FarmerJayhawk what are the likely consequences of this?
I donât know all the details but in the short term the league gets an influx of cash. Long term the PE firm will need a return on that investment so itâll have the league over a barrel chasing every last dollar. Like they could dictate where the leagueâs postseason is, change the format, change rules for a made for tv product, all that not good stuff.
Private equity buying a big stake in the league should be announced soon. I'm not a fan. We have to get out of this league.

The Potomac is a huge chopper corridor and also is a really typical approach for commercial flights. Close calls have been an issue for years there since itâs such crowded airspace.
On a more somber note, horrible news out of Virginia. It sure appears we lost many fellow Kansans on the Potomac.
@nuleafjhawk said in Lance is COOKING:
@FarmerJayhawk "Itâs fine if you donât believe or care about that though."
I don't know what to make of this. Ok, we've had a low rate of transfer. So far. Because there are no regulations, the whole team could transfer next year. It's a stupid system that yields inconsistencies and the best players go to the highest bidders.
Since the portal and NIL was a thing. At most you can count to 1 as far as players from last yearâs team that left for money. Losing talent to bag chasers hasnât and likely wonât be a massive issue for KU.
@nuleafjhawk said in Lance is COOKING:
It's fantastic that we're getting such great talent. It is not fantastic that next year they'll be going to whomever pays them more than KU.
Weâve had extremely low transfer and decommitment numbers under Lance, less than 10 scholarship guys per year. Itâs fine if you donât believe or care about that though.
Happy Kansas Day folks! I hope youâre enjoying something classic like a bierock or chilli (with a cinnamon roll on the side obvs).
Also pardon John Brown
