@drgnslayr nice. I’m going to look at upgrading in the fall for football. I just have a bare bones Z Grill right now. It does the job for smaller things like ribs and poultry but it struggles with temperature regulation for bigger cuts.

I have a pellet grill and a Blackstone griddle on the back porch. I use the Blackstone a ton since it comes up to temp very quickly, is crazy easy to maintain, and is more versatile. It does burgers better than my smoker honestly. I can go from pulling the meat out of the fridge to eating in like 10 minutes.

I went to the Red Lyon for a brew and to watch some ball and talked with the rando next to me. Turns out he was the executive chef for the Dallas Cowboys at one point and is in town planning the menu for… a new restaurant in Allen Fieldhouse. It’ll be mostly a big donor spot but he told me the menu was going to be super high end and Kansas themed. Smoked meats at AFH for everyone! @approxinfinity i nominate it for the KU Buckets holiday party

Stokes shoots it a little better than given credit for too. 30% on 2.6/game last year. The FT% is a little concerning but he took almost 10/game. Just silly

Very little chance Avery goes anywhere this offseason. His compensation is really competitive nationally.

There’s been some good reporting that it’ll be hard for Stokes to get eligible academically by fall. Might take all summer if that’s the road they decide.

Grass is on the way back, I’m not sure more than a couple MLB teams use an artificial surface. I know it’s better for injury prevention to play on grass. It’s just expensive to maintain so especially at the college level artificial surfaces are more common.
