It was a startling contrast, Doke was leaping to block shots and grab boards when he has been earthbound for several games. Vick had spring and elevation on Js. Doke tried to block everything!!! Made a huge diff in the game.

In comparison, the Packers are 22-18 in 40 games over the same time frame. 3 SB and 2 wins.

Watching those 2 teams I really had sense that we just don't have the bodies athletically/physically to match up. If we have Silvio and/or Billy by then, then maybe.

Agree with @Bwag that Garret's J-deficiency is making it 5 on 4 and a lot more work to get the open look for the next guy, but he boxes out really well, defends above ave, and has a nose for the loose ball. His Overall game is > Newman therefore the Pt. who says bill does not play non-5star frosh? I do think if Sam had a bit longer leash he could give the same as garret + more offense but Bill is not seeing it yet. You can see it is making Sam play scared.

Whoa there @Kubie. Withey had 311 career block, and Mitch has 39. Now Mitch has more through 1.5 years than JW did but don't see Mitch ever getting the kind of pt Jeff got career wise. But who knows ML keeps surprising.
@KUSTEVE @Jayballer54 I watched the end of that game and my first impression seeing carter and young....man body vs. freshman body. But man can young score it...even on an "off" night.
@kjayhawks i too Am concerned about the beating DG took. A lot of time on the floor. And he is not built like Frank or carter to handle that level of physicality for 20 games. Will be an issue moving forward. They have to bite bullet and reduce his mins to 33-35 a game.
@KUSTEVE His timing seemed to be so much better. He recalibrated to the speed of B12 play and he was no longer 1/2 sTep off....thus, no TO and the erasers. I take back all I have said and I would like Arthur Bryant's Rich and spicey on my crow.
