Dedric needs to finish that. I was worried that last tie up when we could have gotten control of the ball would hurt us...now they have another chance.

Crap! UP by 7 and their big guy goes out...they hit a couple of threes and shrink our lead to 3. That was our chance to pull away a little.
Boy...after some really ugly trips down the court to start....the last few have been great...all of a sudden we have a 4 pt lead.

Not a good finish to the half. Block on Dave (although I think he got a lot of hand on that). Missed one and one. Grimes blew the chance to get a shot off. We have missed a lot of open looks.

Can't believe we just backed off of Snead when he was in trouble. Well, all in all have to be happy with a 7 pt. halftime lead. Their guys sat out, but we couldn't hit the open 3.
@kjayhawks Hopefully that will even out in the 2nd half. But maybe not if it's Garret doing the shooting.
I'm not liking that we can't get a bigger lead with their 2 guys on the bench....

Garrett's Banked 3 makes us even with the Mawien 3 pointer.
Other than Dedric's 3.....all of our shots have been....really really bad.
@BShark ...I'm with you on Bennett for the most part...but man Beard is awfully good...might put him at the top of the list....but I don't see that happening (intra-conference).
@Kcmatt7 ...Agree on Oats. Buffalo is good and plays really tough defense. Haven't been crazy about the other primary candidates..although Wojo certainly is on the upswing.

Yes...we need to win and have KSU lose again...maybe TCU? And TT needs to lose to the Clones....don't know how to look at that game now. But we also have to win the OU and OSU road games....yikes.
@truehawk93 Unless we somewhat collapse, I don't think we will drop to a 6 or a 7. Most had us as a 3 prior to TT. 4-5 is probably more likely...obviously depending on how we look going forward.
Expecting our young team to go into that environment and win was probably hoping for too much. But expecting to be competitive was no asking too much. However....it was one of those nights for Tech...Banked 3's being an example. Our young team didn't respond too well...hence he butt kicking.

Good job by the Horned Frogs to beat the Clones. Hopefully they will do the same when KSU plays there...….
@benshawks08 When they first yanked off the red shirt...both Self and even his Mom commented on how much he had improved since he joined the team. I have to believe that this is truly part of the equation. Otherwise, it doesn't make any sense at all.

Why did he walk away?
Looking at the schedule, I can see both KSU and ISU ending up with 4 losses. KU and Tech with 5. That Tech ISU last game of the season could likely be for first place. Yes, we can win at Tech, but it's a tall order with all that is at stake and with our young team..even with the better play recently. History tells us that some of these teams will trip up along the way. And....Wade's injury could change the dynamic. Will be interesting. But it seems as if the top 4 teams are significantly better than the rest right now.
@jayballer73 I hope they lose two more....the only other loss that wouldn't be a big upset (besides at AFH) is at TCU. Wade's health is an X factor. Then we need Tech and ISU to lose one more...assuming we don't beat Tech. Will be a real log jam at the top no matter what happens.

@jayballer73 I also think they will have 4 losses. But I think that might mean they win it all by themselves. I do think you'll have 5 teams separated by no more than 2 games....maybe even 1.
Rooting for UT, but I am thinking KSU wins. I know they have choked in the past, but I think the odds are greater that they end up with 4 losses than 5. I hope I'm wrong.
