Dedric forcing it...should have made the layup and then just threw that crap up there.
I hated that exchange where Dotson forced the shot and then Bane came down with a layup...4 pt. swings suck.
@Woodrow I would have guessed more....I guess the ones we did have just POd me more than usual.
I think Dedric will be OK. Self did say they need to get the ball to him more. I noted that Dave had his man posted up several times and we looked right at him and went elsewhere.

@kjayhawks Agree that we wouldn't want him to be a major player....but a rotational player for 10 mins or so? I don't see why not.
Why would KJ leave? Don't we kind of need him? If Doke and Dedric don't come back...don't we need his experience...and can maybe play the 4?
@jayballer73 The way the league has looked this year...it wouldn't be surprising if KSU lost a game (or two) at home yet. But, with their experience, it just looks and feels like they are the team to get it done this year. I hope I am wrong.
I am afraid KSU loses 4 and wins outright...I don't think any of the rest of the teams will win out. Bu......, maybe they lose at home to ISU....that WOULD seem to be par for the course in the league this year. We can hope.
Well, KSU in good shape now. We will see, but I think they have a good shot at finishing with 4 losses.

@jayhawkcsg Agree, in general, about Q, but he did make a couple of nice passes and got into the lane a few times. I guess I'm really reaching here to look for good things....
ISU cut the lead to 7 at half. Probably just close enough for them to warm up from 3 and win. I was hoping for a bigger halftime lead for TCU when they were up 14.
Seeds as of this point in time are out....we're overall #10. 3 seed. Giving us credit for the quadrant 1 wins. I guess that's good.

Grimes with two threes....we'll have to take that at this point. Now that's the run we've been hoping for. 3 pt shooting evening out after the first half.
Really bad last minute plus at the end of the half. 5 point lead and end up tied. I hope we don't seriously regret that at the end of the game.

@BShark If Vick is going to continue the "bad" ways...no. But the whole scenario of his actions and now suspension..yes I does. Should have responded to your comment about replacing Vick with Chuck. Although....maybe if Charlie gets a shot to play more off the ball he can show that shooting prowess that we've only seen brief glimpses of.

@HighEliteMajor Your Adidas theory on why Grimes continues to play can't be ignored based on what (sadly) has come to light. My theory is that Self does feel pressure to play a highly recruited guy (I can imagine that has come up on the recruiting trail), that he also has seen what Grimes can do and he wants that to have a chance to shine through. I think the continuing to start thing might be to keep his ego /spirits up. Not starting is more noticeable than not being in at crunch time. And once Garret comes back...I don't think Grimes will be in at crunch time..unless he improves considerably.
I still hold out hope.
@Woodrow I will be pleasantly surprised if we win. 3 freshmen in the rotation and, as you say, no senior leadership to calm us down and take over down the stretch. I fear our younger guys will get sped up and rattled.
I hope I am wrong.
@BeddieKU23 Yes, Tuesday is huge. My concern is that we have 3 freshmen in our main rotation. Tough environment to put them in.
@dylans We did move the ball well....but we also made shots. 9 3pters in the first half...can't do that all the time. But we looked crisp on offense...expecially in the first half. Pretty good in the 2nd as well. Played with a lot of energy...there's no place like home, as they say.
@Fightsongwriter Oh and I am one of the old guys who remember the silly song....but I confess I didn't pick up on that until you mentioned it....pretty clever!
@Fightsongwriter ISU might have a slightly easier schedule, but KSU only has 2 losses, I think they might be in the drivers seat. If they beat us Tuesday...they will be 2 games ahead of us...tough to make up. Agree with @wissoxfan that usually teams stumble, lose a game or two they shouldn't and we win the title. We'll need to hope for that again, I'm afraid. If we don't win on Tuesday, we will probably need some big time help. Agree about Baylor...4 tough road games. If they win it....they will have earned it down the stretch and I'm not a believer in them....yet.
@DanR I hope you are right. But I think the NCAA wants to pound on their chest and pretend they're being tough.
@HighEliteMajor I think you are right. I think our FF gets vacated. Scholarship or two..probably. The one I can't quite decide on is tourney ban. I also agree...burn it down. I don't like being one of the few programs they make an example of...and others get off scot free.
