The NCAA is a complete joke. It's time for schools to pull their membership and seek a new format. These student athletes have no due process. They should be innocent until proven guilty and be allowed to play and no penalties should come if they are later deemed ineligible but teams and the student shouldn't have to suffer while the NCAA pisses on our legs and tells us it's raining. Diallo is already taking and getting good grades in college level classes and speaks four different languages (which is 3 more than myself) so it's fairly obvious that he's a bright kid . At the very least there needs to be time lines on when the case has to be handled by and if they can't make their case by then it needs to be dropped.

@Statmachine I don't like being ranked that high, I would rather be ranked lower and have our guys play with a chip on their shoulder. Though I supposed it's partially warranted, after all they did bring home the gold this summer.

@JayHawkFanToo He will be financially set if he doesn't blow his money. A large majority of athletes end up broke which is sad. I hope he doesn't become a part of that statistic just as much as I hope that we actually get to see him play and he gets that big second contract.

@dylans That's the perfect way of putting it. Robbed. That's exactly how I feel. It would have been special to watch him and I hold out hope that we will be able to see him live up to his potential.

@JayHawkFanToo I really hope he doesn't. That would be incredibly said. With his skillset he has a chance to be in the upper echelon of NBA players not just for this current generation but historically. When he pulled off that dream shake it was a thing of beauty.

@Crimsonorblue22 wow that sucks to hear about JoJo having another surgery. Looks like it wouldn't have mattered if he stayed or not since he wouldn't have played last year and won't play this year.

@Statmachine are they for real? that quick to forget they played against professional teams before the start of last season?

@jayballer54 we had dead legs late in that game. The 3 mason left short late in the game was because of tired legs. I was surprised when Wayne's went in, but then again he has come up huge all tournament! I thought Nic Moore was just jacking shots up, he looked bad for the most part.

@BeddieKU23 such a tough gritty performance! I loved the way we battled back after squandering the lead! Coming back 3 separate times and finally holding on. Hell of a way to start my first day back from vacation and so thankful I work from home so I could scream as loud as I wanted to.!

@JayHawkFanToo So let met get this straight growing up in KC which is a heck of a lot closer to KU than MU, I couldn't get In-State tuition but a person who isn't even a citizen of this country can get in state tuition? What a load of crap!

@DoubleDD I'll miss what was a budding rivalry if Fred does leave, I've not enjoyed losing to them the past two season in the Big12 tourney but we always knew the games would be competitive and fire fueled. Good for him for chasing his dream if he ends up signing there.

@clevelandjayhawk I'm not sure how much Evan would provide us during the WUG. He did fine when pushed into a bigger role when Devonte went down but Nic gives us a better chance at winning.

Not sure if any of you had seen this yet. When I first read it I thought it was interesting that we weren't choosing someone from the Big 12 but then thought that it makes sense because why would we want to help someone form our competition get better.

Ventura looked awesome last night, I was at the game and my buddy and I were wondering why Ned wasn't sending him back out there for the 8th. I was saying that he should have let him try tog et the CG SO, and then we learned on the radio after the game about the finger injury. What an awesome game to be at. Nice pitching duel with just the right amount of offense from the good guys. We did leave quite a few runs out there on the bases though. That second inning double by Omar was clutch, we needed to get to Cueto early.

I think the WUG will be great preparation for the season and give us a leg up, especially early on in the season much like it did for UK. They had like 8 or 9 games against professional teams under their belt before we played them. This experience may lead to us going deeper in March and we will have good upperclassmen leadership who has experienced back to back season of early tourney exits and may be the disappointment we needed to cut down the nets the first weekend in April.

I'm so pumped for this game! Tickets are going to be crazy expensive though!

I don't know why we've struggled so mightily against the lowly Rangers. We took two of 3 from Detroit over the weekend who is an immensely better ball club. IT's like we are overlooking or playing down to the competition. The Jayhawks seem to do this at time as well.

@HighEliteMajor When you put it that way, it makes a lot of sense. I would applaud you for wearing that shirt. I wish this NCAA would put a stop to all this madness and guarantee scholarships and if they are guaranteed make it a stipulation that they have to stay for 2 or 3 years or they can find somewhere else to play.

Paul Pierce is the reason I fell in love with KU basketball as an impressionable youngster in elementary. The Truth!!!!

@HighEliteMajor How much do you think he would be able to contribute in December having missed all of the offseason work and first few weeks of the season? I would love to have him either way.

I'm down for buying a t-shirt. I snagged my tickets to the game this morning. I wouldn't have even known about the tickets going on sale this morning if it wasn't for the board!

That was one hell of a game last night. I like the grit that our offense showed picking up our bullpen that did not have their best stuff last night. I thought it was a great move by Yost to leave Holly in after the blown save and let him get his mojo back by getting the win.

@Crimsonorblue22wow they are a sinking ship! I hadn't seen the news about other players leaving until today. I've been purposely avoiding college basketball

@drgnslayr You're right. He is weak when it comes to basketball IQ. I guess i'm left wondering because maybe he would have put more pressure on WSU inside or picked up a few more rebounds to get us a couple extra possessions. Maybe picked up a block or to tog et a stop. We could not stop them at all late in that game. Does ISU come back on us with him nit he game knowing he was yanked earlier in the year against ISU?

Cliff will be a what if for me. What if he had been elgible to play. DO we lose against WSU. Would he have made strides down the stretch. Would we have won the Big 12 tourney? A lot of questions unanswered. I won't miss him I will miss Kelly in the lineup next year.

I had them going pretty deep. The way they can shoot the ball and I thought they had a pretty easy path. Bracket busted. for funsies I made one bracket with an all Big 12 final four and us playing them for the championship. Pipe dream busted too.

@Crimsonorblue22 Yup! We both got bobble heads and after the game I took him down to the court and had him stand on the court so I could take his picture!. We were going to wait for autographs but it was a school night for him and already closing in on midnight with a drive back to KC

I went to the WV game, it was one of the best games I've ever been too. It was my birthday and my mom bought tickets and I took my nephew and it was his first game. I was gonna be so pissed if his first game was a loss and turns out it was one of the greater games in recent memory at the Fieldhouse. I also went to the game against TCU for the Big 12 tournament. My big brother works for TWC and he was given tickets to their corporate suite so I got to go with him. Awesome experience but I would choose AFH over the corporate atmosphere of Sprint Center all day.

I hadn't yet seen the kiss and now that image will be forever seared into my cerebrum

I'm so pumped for this team. They responded after losing to KSucks with a gritty tough win over Texas full of terrible officiating on both sides. I cant wait to see us clinch it outright tonight. As soon as I get off work I'm driving out to Lawrence to get in line and taking my 16 year old nephew to his first KU game!

@Crimsonorblue22 The last 30 seconds was really a black mark on an other wise entertaining Super Bowl. I missed Kimmel I'll have to see if I can find last nights episode I'm sure it was a good one!

@JayHawkFanToo that's true too I mean everyone in the stadium knew what the patriots were trying to do there and yet he still let himself be goaded into jumping off sides. All in all it was much better than that tail kicking we saw last year. But man what could have been for the Hawks

Dumbest play call in SB history. I'm a Chiefs and Eagles guy so I didn't have a horse in this race but I was pulling for the Hawks, after the catch that Kearse made you just knew they were going to punch it in. I was shocked that they threw it with Beast Mode on their team. And then the fighting on the defensive series afterwards was just classless

I think we win 85-70. Why? Our guys want revenge Kelly said "we owe them" I think this game will be similar to when we lost to Texas last year and then came back and smack them in the mouth when they came to Allen for the rematch. I know our games with ISU have been close lately and they are a worthy opponent, I just think our guys will want this game and we have the talent to take it handily.

@drgnslayr That's true, maybe this should be on the last weekend of the non-con season? I always thought it was silly to have it spread out over a couple days.

I love the format change it will make for an exciting day of basketball. Start in the AM and show all of the games back to back . I can definitely dig 20 straight hours of college hoops!! I like the fact that we will be more seasoned at that point, instead of having to play when we aren't firing on all cylinders. I think the Champions Classic should be in December too.

@BeddieKU23 those FT's they were missing weren't even close! Gibson was leaving his al short like they barely reached the front of the rim. They had no legs in the second half. We can do the same thing tot hem, we have the depth and the horses to do it. Devonte and Kelly will wreak some havoc against them, they both have long arms to intercept passes in addition to the ones that Marcus Foster will be gifting us :) And you are right about WVU, if Devonte and Frank handle the press as well as they did against Texas and we can (pardon my French) stay in Staten's ass, we will shut them down.

@brooksmd I know they all talk about the fact that BG is money but man that was boneheaded during a game . I love the enthusiasm and appreciate the fact that he's out there having fun, because that means they are playing loose but you gotta make sure it goes in first.
