@tis4tim I think the fact that he was 2-3 steps ahead of Baylor is definitely a shout out to him being a great chess player. Chess player's have to know what they're opponent is going to do before they do.

@mayjay I see what you're saying regarding that piece. I think it's distasteful to bring up the Baylor football stuff with the basketball team as well, as one has nothing to do with the other. I'm clearly not the only person bothered by the lumping together of the stories, but looking through it from your lenses I see it in a different light. That being said i'm still not happy about it ha.
@mayjay My point is that they shouldn't even be mentioned together if one has nothing to do with the other. The drugs had nothing to do with the rape and the paraphernalia wasn't even collected that same night. The Vick story is a separate incident as well and shouldn't be tied with the Bragg case either. That happened over a year ago and what purpose does it serve to bring it up right now or mentioning it with completely unrelated cases? That's mainly my point on it. Separate the cases, if people have questions about the other cases they can not be lazy and read the stories on those separately.
@JayHawkFanToo I completely agree. Not sure why guys like Bedore and Newell keep reporting them together unless it's coming from someone over their heads. MU is a total dumpster fire right now. We have more SEC wins than they do this year and their football program just lost a couple incoming recruits.

Vahe wrote this story after the game and continues the narrative of lumping the Vick/Bragg stories in with the rape. He also says that that university relies on preponderance of evidence (also what civil courts use) versus beyond a reasonable doubt which means the story might likely be true but could also not be. Two sentences later he goes on to say If it is true he fails to understand why Vick is still with the team. Instead of writing up stories and dragging this kid through the mud why not just keep your f'ing mouth shut until all the facts are on the table. He's a paid writer FFS, do your damn homework.
@KUSTEVE I feel the same exact way on this man. Stop attaching the two stories and stop bringing up crap that is from 2015. zero reason for that Vick story to have come to light right now, it's not even an ongoing case.
@kjayhawks this! As soon as i saw the box score I knew people would bitch about KU getting all the calls at home. You're not going to get a ton of FT's if you're just jacking up jump shot and the other team is driving the lane to force the issue. There were a ton of no calls though during the first half especially when the refs just let them play.
@globaljaybird Which is really unfortunate for Vick. From what I heard during the earlier Bragg investigation Vick had been tangled up with that same young lady. And totally agree that whole family is off balance.
@Crimsonorblue22 Yeah and all of the scouts are hearing about that report now which should have never come out. Those investigations are supposed to be restricted and only certain people are supposed to have access to them.
@RockChalkinTexas Too bad this isn't the NFL we'd effectively have a two game lead on Baylor if head to head records actually mattered as far as winning the conference outright goes.
@Crimsonorblue22 I don't get why that report about Vick is even coming out now. Kind of stupid in my opinion since it happened over a year ago. Someone leaked it just to drag his name through the mud and pile on to all the other crap that's going on. In all reality it's really none of our business. Obviously the cops and/or the victim didn't want to pursue a case and it was handled internally by the school.
Personally i don't have a problem with weed, it has many therapeutic uses. That being said it's illegal. It's a dumb move to get caught with it when it's so very easy not to. Keep your stash/smoking devices out of plain view. Simple as that. Keep your dorm room clean and smelling good and those cops would have been none the wiser. If you leave your skull pipe out and it clearly has residue in it you're going to get busted. I'm pretty sure most of those guys smoke weed which is fine, just be smart. Don't smoke in public and don't leave your stuff out and you're probably going to be fine. I could argue this point all day. I know people will disagree but weed isn't really a big deal at all. It's far less harmful than cigarettes or alcohol and we all know college students engage in underage drinking.

@globaljaybird I really really hope these reports aren't true. How are we supposed to have any faith in humanity if they are? 2016 was a crap year for humanity and 2017 doesn't seem to be starting any better.

@globaljaybird Cancer is a MF'er. I know that feeling all too well my friend. Had a family member who was diagnosed and within 2 months she was gone. You're too right about the powerful gut hurt, especially in inexplicable situations such as this and cancer.

i was absolutely crushed when i woke up. I work nights and my wife woke me up while I was sleeping about 11 am and told me and I heard her but didn't hear her. When I actually woke up to get ready for work I saw it and we immediately drove tot he stadium.

@Crimsonorblue22 March 3rd. I usually get tickets to senior night as my birthday present. This year i'll be off from my birthday til St. Pattys day and i graduate in between then so it's going to be a wild two weeks for me!

I swear every time i've been on shift lately we get hit with rain or snow and it's all nice weather when the opposite shift is working. I get off work at 7am gonna go tailgate int hat crap and go back to work at 7pm after the game.

@Crimsonorblue22 Definitely! I went to a few in the early part of the season. I wanted to go last weekend but my sleep is all jacked up with my work schedule. I want to get to one or two more before the season is over and i'll definitely be at the conference tourney and sweet 16 and elite 8 game since i'm off most of march.
