@jaybate-1.0 hit the nail on the head with this post! It's amazing being able to watch him force his will on people when they know the ball is coming his way a la Sherron and Tyshawn to a lesser extent.

Definitely where i thought we'd be. We have to get better shooting FT's though. There's going to be a game come conference time or one of the tourney's in March and we are going to live or die by our FT %

that assist by JJ and SIV for 3!!!! wow what a pass. with the off hand too.

i went back on shift tonight. 5 nights of 1900-0700 so the fact that we are actually playing good basketball makes it so much easier to be here right now.

@drgnslayr I think you hit the nail on the head with this post. With a guy like HCBS that loves tough competitive players its hard for him to deny them what they want and deserve even if it may be Frank's detriment in the end.

@mayjay HAHA they'd make awful protection dogs. My biggest one is 80 pounds and she'd lick you to death before she'd bite you. Everyone that walks in the house she tries to make her new best friend. Glad you get a kick out of my signature! Still makes me smile too

@Crimsonorblue22 I think i'm rather impressive. I'm a millennial getting my master's while working for one of the largest healthcare IT companies in the world and have another work from home job just for tattoo, travel, video game and KU game money lol. Work hard, play harder!

That Dook game from Mason's freshman year is when I knew he was going to be a special player. He pretty much single handedly gave us that win down the stretch getting into the paint forcing fouls and make lay ups. He imposed his will and has been a joy to watch these past few years. So happy I got the chance to meet him a couple months ago at the K.

@dylans hahah well i'm sure my wife wouldn't appreciate me making that bet with one of my hot female coworkers but yes there are plenty of them. Seriously everywhere i look lol.

I really hope we win this game not only for our boys to start the season off right but for personal reasons as well. I drunkely made a dumb bet while tailgating at a Chiefs game with a coworker who just moved here from Indiana. He wants to watch the game together in Lawrence and we bet that whoever's team lost that person had to go streaking.

@Kcmatt7 He wants to stay but yeah I agree with you. He's likely a goner because of who his agent is. Although Boras has allowed some players to stay where they are. Cole Hamels (before he was ultimately traded) and Cliff Lee in Philly for example.

The lack of rebounding especially to a smaller weaker team is slightly alarming but I think we'll be ok. HCBS is going to get in their asses this week about that and it won't be an issue again I don't think.

@BeddieKU23 We could have an elite team this year. I just feel our teams have always played their best when we "overachieve" and play feeling disrespected. Take the 11-12 team for an example. Most of the talking heads didn't think we'd be the ones playing against Kentucky.

I kinda hate being ranked so high early in the season. Whenever we're ranked high we tend to play down to our competition it seems. i like when our guys feel disrespected and get that fire in their belly.

@jaybate-1.0 I hope he can. He has the fire inside him to make it happen if he so chooses. Just has to get opportunities and take advantage of them like he did tonight.

@jaybate-1.0 hell yes i love that he had a game like this early. He can be downright dangerous when he wants to be. A point per min is pretty damn impressive.

@chriz also last preseason game not much to be gained from playing him even if he wasn't sick

He's got to find a way to leave that type of "noise" in the locker room. It's your family and I get that you worried and you want them to see you play but I don't think he should have been receiving updates pregame unless there was an emergency.

Wiggins has been palying really well lately sad that the rest of his team can't get it together to pull some W's out.

They deserved to lose that game they played like garbage from start to finish for the most part just dumb sloppy boneheaded plays all game. WVU gave them the business
