The MISERY Continues • Feb 24, 2015 01:41 AM

@drgnslayr I'm going to post every loss from now on...

Upset Alert/Predictions • Feb 24, 2015 12:26 AM

@drgnslayr The best scream of all was Barnes whining like a little girl in the huddle as we stomped them on their home court. How sweet it is!!!

Upset Alert/Predictions • Feb 24, 2015 12:25 AM

I predict by the end of the game, our player's ankles will be stained purple from stomping grapes. KU 72 Grapes 61.

@wrwlumpy Great tidbit...lololol....

@JayHawkFanToo Upvote for the squiggly line above the n in Nino. How'd you do that?

Fool's Gold • Feb 23, 2015 08:21 PM

@nuleafjhawk If it makes you feel any better, I don't feel we should've lost a game in the last 30 years. I seem to have more patience with this team than I normally do. Not sure if that's the result of having lived through last year's season, or simply a 54 year old's thinking kicking in. I guess a few of the old farts around here could answer that for me...

( Disclaimer : I can say old farts because I are one)

@wrwlumpy The dead chickens were a staple at Ahearn. I had a buddy that committed an egregious assault at Ahearn...just laid a dude out. We got the hell out of there, and hightailed it to Lawrence. Reason number 8,000 why you don't go get juiced at Aggieville before the game...

( Disclaimer: this act happened over 35 years ago...way past the statute of limitations)

Favorite KSU Material • Feb 23, 2015 06:49 PM

@drgnslayr I was actually a KSU fan with Hartman as coach before I was a KU fan. I used to love Chucky Evans back in the day.... Once I went to KU, my thinking got straightened out..lol.

@wrwlumpy We're in a "can't win" situation. If we lose in their game of the year, then the world would come to an end as we know it. If we win, it has to be by 30, or some will feel we suck. Oh, the nasty bite of great expectations.

The MISERY Continues • Feb 23, 2015 12:34 PM

@KUinLA I understand - I know it's a tough job trying to be the smartest guy in the room, and you can't afford distraction from your multiple negative posts. If the post said " Coach is an idiot", you'd be on it for a month.

Fool's Gold • Feb 23, 2015 03:56 AM

@sfbahawk We should never lose a game...ever. We should never win by less than 50 points...if we don't meet that criteria...then we SUCK!!!!!...LMAO...Good post...nice to hear a little common sense amidst all the weeping and gnashing of teeth...

@wissoxfan83 At least they're consistent...

@icthawkfan316 Thank you. You read my mail.

The MISERY Continues • Feb 22, 2015 05:46 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 Which is why content is so important ...I relish the misery of Misery.

Rumors of our death are premature. My opinion is I have no clue why he doesn't play Cliff more. I think we're a better team with Cliff than Jamari. But, I am willing to allow our coach as much room as he needs to build the team as he sees fit. I'm thinking - maybe he wants to unleash the beast in the NCAA tournament. We have 4 reg season games left, potentially 3 games in the Big 12 conference tourney, so we'll just see how it plays out. I really think we'll see a late charge from Cliff...

Fool's Gold • Feb 22, 2015 01:46 PM

@nuleafjhawk The key difference is WE are fans of KU. Every post he makes is negative - I haven't seen a positive post yet. I'm not sure who he roots for, but it sure as hell isn't KU.

The MISERY Continues • Feb 22, 2015 01:43 PM

@KUinLA You obviously do care, or you wouldn't have replied.

@Crimsonorblue22 Play of the year, imo. Frank "bagged" him. BTW, Devonte looks INCREDIBLE. I don't think that Selden's spot is in jeopardy anytime soon, however. And....I sure hope Greene's hand is ok.

@wrwlumpy I keep waiting to see one unkind word that these "cyberbullies" that keegan and company keep yammering about,, but I haven't seen it on multiple boards. Was that over at kusports? Where did you see this bullying?

The MISERY Continues • Feb 22, 2015 12:46 AM

@icthawkfan316 OOPS...my apologies...Misery lost today by 25 to the powerhouse Vanderbilt Commodores, so it actually runs their losing streak to 13. They are now 1-13 in conference, with a sparkling record of 7-20 to date. Their next game is against Florida on Tuesday.

The MISERY Continues • Feb 22, 2015 12:17 AM

@nuleafjhawk Love reading they have lost 12 straight. That takes some doing to do that.

KU vs TCU chat • Feb 22, 2015 12:13 AM

Devonte and Perry were tremendous. I think TCU is an up and coming team, so I'm not worried about the margin. On to AFH West to take out the wounded Kitties. It's actually like having three home games in a row on our schedule.

The MISERY Continues • Feb 22, 2015 12:09 AM

@KansasComet I have no idea. I know they're 7-19, have lost 12 SEC games in a row, and look terrible.

The MISERY Continues • Feb 21, 2015 06:49 PM

1-12 in the SEC. A gazillion straight losses. A BB Coach named Kim...How SWEET IT IS!!!!!!

Please... Roy! • Feb 21, 2015 02:12 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 The key words are "If you think" which are at the front of the sentence.

"If you think Bill has an aversion to 3 point shooting". I wasn't saying "*I think...remember, I'm Jethro...
*"

Recipe for Horned Frog • Feb 21, 2015 01:43 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 You know that weird Big 12 commercial where they blather about playing each other twice? Trent Johnson actually plays all 12 coaches. He is a shape shifter, you know. Hehehehehe...

( This is parody. Trent has the strangest looking face I've ever seen, so he must be alien, right?)

@nuleafjhawk Phi Slamma Jamma was my favorite non-KU team of all time. I lived in Lubbock at that time, and went and watched them destroy Texas Tech. Man, that was a great, great team...

Recipe for Horned Frog • Feb 21, 2015 12:16 PM

@jaybate-1.0 Brain of Trent Johnson. Gross. He isn't human anyway - he is an alien hybrid, cloned from the chem trails in the sky. I saw all this on Ancient Aliens, so it has to be true, right? !index.jpeg ↗

Please... Roy! • Feb 21, 2015 12:05 PM

The one thing I've always noticed about Coach Rat are his teams ability to make it close at the end. Whether you like the rodent or not, he is an excellent end game coach. Roy, on the other hand, is an awful end game coach, imo. None of Roy's teams can shoot free throws, no matter where he's been. If you think Bill has an aversion to 3 point shooting, go watch UNC play, as the 3 point shot is almost never used as part of their arsenal. So, Roy's teams can't shoot free throws, or make 3s, which puts them at a complete disadvantage in the end game.

@JayhawkRock78 Wow. I am nearly speechless over this story. Just the power mad idea floated out there like it was nothing...just wow. I lived in Houston for years, and never attended a single Cougar game in any sport- they just aren't relevant. Even if the idea was from the Board of Regents, the way they simply flaunt power around is astonishing.

TCU Prints a Recipe For Beating KU. • Feb 20, 2015 08:30 PM

@wrwlumpy Cliff could be a lottery pick in the draft if he would stick around another year. He probably won't.

This is who I am... • Feb 20, 2015 08:18 PM

@nuleafjhawk He,he...

This is who I am... • Feb 20, 2015 08:02 PM

@nuleafjhawk Who says we should've won by 10? that's the crux of the problem right there...

This is who I am... • Feb 20, 2015 07:47 PM

@nuleafjhawk We lost by 1 point in a game where we were favored by 1.5 points by Vegas. We traveled across the country in terrible weather to play a Monday night road game against a top 25 opponent after playing on Saturday. This top 25 opponent plays a unique defense that creates havoc, which is why they lead the nation in turnovers created. My point: all losses are bad, but its not like we lost to K-State, or Texas Tech.

This is who I am... • Feb 20, 2015 07:09 PM

Everybody will be in a good mood tomorrow after we pummel the Frogs. I predict enormous positive posts after the game. Instead of predicting a score, I'm going with positive posts as the new barometer: 98% positive. You can book it, Danno.

TCU Prints a Recipe For Beating KU. • Feb 20, 2015 06:57 PM

@wrwlumpy Good luck with their "recipe" tomorrow. They're going to get their ass kicked, as Coach will have our team smokin' tomorrow.

KU’s Mykhailiuk sees • Feb 20, 2015 06:52 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 Wayne for me, and it's not close. I think Wayne is coming around. The jumper looks a lot better than last year- no over the head rainbows from the 3 this year. He's nailing 3s since conference play began, and has become a valuable asset. @konkeydong outlined some areas where he could, and probably will improve that could make Wayne an indispensable weapon for us going forward. There's a very good chance Wayne returns next year, so I want him on the floor. SVI is going to have to keep working hard to find time. It would be nice if he stuck around 4 years, because I think he could, with time, become sensational.

RPI - Seeding • Feb 20, 2015 12:13 AM

I get a kick out of how much weight the committee gives to RPI. It is normally one of the least accurate barometers out there, but, hey, if the committee wants to use that, I won't complain. I remember two years ago, when RPI anointed the MWC as the number 1 conference, and they ended up with like 6 teams in the tourney, and then promptly lost every game the first weekend. At least the RPI got Jerry Palms a job at CBS SPORTS ... lol.

Time to show some love • Feb 19, 2015 12:43 PM

I didn't see one word of "hate" towards Perry. Of course, I only have Kubuckets as a reference point. Maybe the boys over at kusports had another bloodletting party, as they're prone to do.

Putting a square peg in a round hole • Feb 17, 2015 11:55 PM

@drgnslayr Very good analysis. I think we should be discussing what we could do on the perimeter to give our mad bombers more time and room to launch.

Maybe we had to lose so we would play with a sense of purpose again. Maybe we didn't want to be that number 8 ranking/seed because we would rather face Kensucky in the Final Four, instead of the number 2 seed in the Tucky bracket, and facing off in the Elite 8. Maybe Huggie promised to share his "Beat KU" cash with his players, and it really motivated them. Maybe Wayne actually saw his shadow, so 6 more weeks of up and down play ( he makes Tyshawn look consistent ...roll that one around the noodle a time or two). Maybe the team needs to come up with some pick and rolls, high screens, etc, and get our 3 point shooters some room outside. Ooops...in the immortal words of Major Payne:

Don't push the MAYBE, baby.

RESPECT • Feb 17, 2015 12:21 AM

@DoubleDD assclown sports jockeys...i quit listening to sports monkeys years ago, and am much better for it. they intentionally try to piss off fan bases to get people to listen. they only way to win is to change the station.

Opinions on KU women Basketball • Feb 17, 2015 12:13 AM

@Lulufulu KU women play basketball?

Oooooo-oooooohhh! • Feb 16, 2015 11:47 PM

We win, but I think we'll have times where we look terrible against the press.

@Jayrawks1 I would think it would help a lot with recruiting. Even more than recruiting, our team will be so far ahead of other teams, it will be ridiculous. We'll be the ones 25-0 at this time next year, imo. We will be flat loaded for bear next year- national championship loaded...

@REHawk LOL....When I think of Snotlieb, I think of the little ditty " pants on the ground"...

Withey in the making???? • Feb 15, 2015 07:01 PM

@cragarhawk Love Lucas, but he's too slow to be Withey. He's always a tic behind.
