Ok, I don't want to discuss or speculate on this topic after my near epic collapse on Embiid last year. No matter what they say, or whether Cliff is ready or not, I will never allow myself to speculate because there is simply no way to know. I bet the farm on Embiid, and lost.

@Blown I've been on Ku boards for years, and have never found anyone that ever defended Snotlieb until this one. Wearing the OSU colors, and making reference to it was the first clue.

We attacked their zone much better in the 2nd half,and we won the game at the charity stripe. We were down 23-10, so we out scored them by 23 points from the low point of the game. Three point shooting kept us in the game, and attacking the rim allowed us to put the game away. For us "3ball all the timers" (myself included), this was an object lesson why Coach makes the big bucks. Our inside game saved the day. My thought after the game? We looked like a complete team today, with offense that scored all over the court, after a terrible start.

4-2 Number 11

3-3 Number 11 with one (1) Clone loss.

Either way it turns out, this has been a very fun ride. I love this team, love the way they fight...did you see Frank extend FACE FIRST under the basket to make a brilliant save of a ball going out of bounds? Another play of the year. Let's relish this sweet victory, because a storm is coming. A full court, balls to the wall, aggressive in our face defense is coming..."*something wicked this way comes*". This is a WVU defense that throws everything but the kitchen sink at you. They are ranked number 1 in the nation in steals, in turnovers against...etc. They are the real deal. In their game of the year. Rarely does any world class organization make its way into Morgantown, so the arrival of KU to their sleepy little town will be big news. Hillbillies jammed into the rafters...ESPN in town...this could be the biggest sporting event they've ever seen. So, we will have our hands full for sure.

@wissoxfan83 There are worse things than being irked. I get "irked" when an OSU homer runs us down all game, as he has done every game he's called for KU for years. Of course, unlike you, I actually watched the game.

I'm not as bent out of shape by it as others on here. He should've told Coach, so I guess that'll get him in the end. That is a deal breaker, even though the "getting busted for pot" might've actually helped with recruiting.

@drgnslayr Upvote for the "great minds think alike" moment- i've thought the same thing. We needed to run against pressure a couple times to get better at it. We still look shaky against it,and we aren't attacking it as much as I would like.

I lived in Lubbock for almost a decade. My dad lived there for almost 40 years until his death 10 years ago. I still have an uncle, and two sisters living there.

There's no doubt in my mind that Cliff is a much better option than Jamari. To me, Landen is a better option than Jamari. Jamari can't defend opposing centers, and we don't play a Wichita St schedule that would allow us to play a 6'6" guy in the paint. I think it's misplaced loyalty. This is all my opinion - I don't have a hotline to the huddle or anything. Just my 2 cents worth.

@KUinLA Perspective allows one to see the entire picture better. Self and his general dislike for the 3 pointer has had to be dragged to the party. He is stubborn as a mule, but that stubbornness demands perfection from his team, and allows his teams to win 10 straight in conference, win a title, lose a title, and take KU to a level we have never been at since I have been following them ( 1972). Roy had his times - he had his moments, but we always came up short. Bill won. Would you prefer Bill simply change every aspect of his whole philosophy without a fight? I mean, Bill has made videos explaining the hi-lo...20 threes in a game nearly borders on sacrilege, I'm sure. He's coming around- we're still top 10. We're still in first in conference. It is not the end of the world.

You snuck in there, and I missed your more eloquent post than mine about turnovers. Great minds think alike!!!

To me, it's not as much as the number of threes we took, or didn't take...it's a matter of handling the ball. We are not a good team when we turn over the ball. I don't know what is going on with Devonte, but his whole demeanor has changed, along with his play. I think Frank is gassed....exhausted, and was making mistakes we haven't seen all year. I think Jamari should not be allowed to touch the ball outside of 10 feet in the paint. And Wayne...love the 3 stroke, where's your head at handling the ball? We lost because we gave them a tremendous number of extra opportunities, many of them layups, or easy shots. We got out toughed by an inferior team. Not the end of the world, but I don't feel nearly as good about our ability to handle pressure. We looked like that lost team in the NCAAs last year in the 2nd half.

@Lulufulu At some point, the lightbulb for Cliff will come on. When it does, we'll be nearly impossible to beat. I think Big 12 play will help us, as WVU's pressure defense will get us ready for that type of defense we could see in the tournament., and Faylor and UT's zone defenses will prepare us as well. Our excellent guard play will keep us in games this year we lost last year. Who would've thought we could lose the # 1 and #3 NBA picks, and have a significantly better team this year?

@joeloveshawks **I have posted on here multiple times that next year is our year. I am not saying this year is a done deal but KU could be flirting with a 1-2 loss season next year if everyone comes back (except Oubre who is gone) and we get another talented back to the basket player. **

The season next year will be quite special. I still think these guys this year could take the title, so back to back, perhaps?

@drgnslayr It would make a great episode for "Ancient Aliens"....

Here's my two cents worth: Ike Taylor has ruined the team with his selfish play. Take a look at UT's record with Felix running the team, and with Taylor running the team - it is astonishing. I really think their season is an object lesson on how a selfish point guard can ruin a team.
