@BigBad tucky is getting their ass beat by Southern Illinois. Down by 5 at home in the 2nd half. I am completely unimpressed by the them.
@JayHawkFanToo I got Starz thru Hulu, and it's 8.99 a month. Cheap, cheap. I love Starz ...so many movies, it's ridiculous.
@BShark The Salukis are giving them the bizness. No way is tucky a Top 5 team.
The Marquette and nova games will be wild, imo. I think we'll grind out a win over Tenn.

Than Sparty coming up in pre-conference. Marquette will be quite a handful, and Tenn should be extremely tough, and of course, Nova coming up.That's some tall cotton.
@jayballer73 So, we have been hearing for 20 years that Dook was as good as they looked in one game against Tucky ... one time. The rest of the time, we've had to endure these cheesedicks from ESPN slobbering over Dook every second of the season for years and years, telling us how good they are...how " clean' their program is. So, they've had one great game, so good for them. I hope they get ranked ahead of us, and get their asses handed to them against a team that plays defense. Just so I can see them all cry like little babies.
@justanotherfan Dotson, on a ppm basis, was the MVP of the team. His maturity was shocking to me. He looked like Frank ... alot. Just the way he popped the 3's, the drives, the steals... the whole package. He was going up against what is considered one of the premier point guards in the country, and I think he outplayed him. In his first game. The team didn't play nearly as good when Charlie was running the team. To me, Dotson is irreplaceable in the lineup.
@dylans Just pretend he's a fan with a different opinion, and don't look too closely. It's easier that way.

@justanotherfan I agree with you. I think we'll see less Doke against Nova as well.
@BShark Dotson will be right there as well. He's the guy that shocked me with his shooting acumen. His 3 point shot was pure magic. With Grimes, i expected him to be tear it up, but all I heard about Devon was that he couldn't shoot. Boy, they were sure wrong.

@jayballer73 News flash: we made them cry in the E8 last year. i watched ESPN after we beat Dook to see if there were any tear squirts on the network. They looked very sad...like they had lost someone...lol.
@Kcmatt7 He was trying to match up the height instead of the quickness. The quickness killed them.
I have no problems with Vitale. i don't care if he talks about Dook and Tucky all game, because i don't value what he says anyway. What i do value is his neverending work in his fight against cancer. If he babbles all game, then that's a short price to pay if one kid gets cured, in my books.
@jayballer73 i love walton...lol. when he punked arizona a few years back, I almost fell out of the la-z-boy...lol.
I like the Dook worship by ESPN because it's always juicy when they get punked.
@Woodrow I spent a week trying to minimize Zion after he snubbed us, and he showed me how wrong I was, and all the hype was true and real. BShark nailed that one.

Dotson and Grimes were just flat tremendous. The poise they showed was better than the guys that had experience.

Real nice win over a veteran team. We lost some of the momentum in the 2nd half, but quite an impressive performance by our freshmen guards.
@bskeet I was thinking the same thing. We're the same team, but we play completely differently than last year. Last year, it seemed like we had times where no lead was safe- this team defends a lot better, and all the worries about the offense seem to be unfounded.
Grimes is a star. Dotson is a star. i don't ever remember freshmen coming in and playing like that in their first game that weren't the number 1 recruit in the land.

@JayHawkFanToo Ward is 250 lbs, and 6'9". MG is 6'5" and probably comes in at a buck sixty. Back in the day, I used to play pickup games one on one against a guy that started for Seward county juco, and he was about 70 or so lbs heavier than me, and half a foot taller, and I'd do well for the first 5,6,7 times he drove on me, but that bigger body would just wear me down, and he'd simply drive to the rim, and put his shoulders up, and I was cooked. Yes, MG could hold his own if he was switching screens a time or two against Ward, but over the course of a game, Ward would wear him out. good idea, but the physics would work against us, I'm afraid.
@mayjay I have no idea. Not sure either one has staked a position on Amend 3, but I would bet whatever side they took would be the one they received the most $$$ from. I'm thinking if Gillum wins, then he's the next presidential candidate for the dems in 2 years.

@approxinfinity I wish the governments of the world would just come clean, and tell us what they know.
@HighEliteMajor I wouldn't worry about Garrett as a fulltime starter. They're only going with MG because we're facing Winston and Langford. Winston is an exceptional pg, and Langford is a 5 star recruit, so we're throwing our 2 best defenders on the perimeter at them. It wouldn't surprise me if Grimes doesn't end up with more minutes than Garrett. Vick has a plus matchup against Quaid, which has to account partly for why we go with such a poor shooter at the 2. Not sure who Sparty has that could defend Dedric...maybe they'll try Tillman because Goins looks like to me to be just a typical Sparty bruiser. Ward will probably get his, but they'll need half the team to stop Doke. Last year's team could only dream of having such good perimeter defenders.
We have the deepest bench in college basketball. Garrett has earned the start, although Grimes should end up playing more minutes. We have tremendous firepower available.
Sparty has a massive advantage over us experience wise. I think this is a nail biter, and we win by 3.

@Kcmatt7 It's unbelievable. You watch tv, and there's 4 straight political ads, one saying this guy is great, and the next one saying he's an egg sucking dog. Then you go on Youtube, the same ads everywhere. You go on Fakebook, and there are troves of ads as well. You turn on the radio, and oops..der it is. We have two peanut heads ( Scott/Gillum ) running, we have a senator that might not know what century we live in ( Nelson), so the visuals are disturbing.
Then we have good old amendment number 3. The existing casinos in Florida want to do all they can to make sure they have no competition, so they are pimping amend 3, which would put any new casino gambling up to a vote, while the Native American tribes that run the current casinos would be grandfathered in They are selling this as Florida voters don't have the right to vote for or against casinos, and amend 3 would fix that ( while grandfathering in all the existing casinos). So the other side is saying that Amend 3 would "hurt the crumb crunchers" by denying the schools tax money off new casinos. Big interests both lying thru their teeth. Gazillions of ads run again and again.
