I have no clue how they are going to juggle all these players. They could easily red shirt 2 players and still have a couple guys get almost no minutes. I'd rather have more than less.

@Texas-Hawk-10 We're not going to be tested until the game with Sparty. And i think we'll beat the crap out of them on the boards. Is that enough to win? If we can make Cassius shoot like he did against us last year, it sure might. I'm also not worried about Dook in the least. The Nova game could be the game where your words ring true. Road game against a Top 5 team, a team that will play 4 out, and spread the court, with a national championship coach. That's going to be tough. Not impossible, though. So...best case...undefeated going into conference... worst case...2 losses to 2 Top 5 teams going into conference. I can live with either result.

The experience difference from last year will be one of the big differences. We were playing 4 freshmen at the same time for long stretches last year. I expect to see a huge experience difference from last year, which I think is one of the most important aspects of long tournament runs. You've got Doke, Dotson, and Silvio on a mission this year. You've got Agbaji and Big Dave breaking out. You've got an experienced Moss added to the equation. You've got a defensive whiz in Marcus, who can flat lock players down. Great group of selfless guys that put team first. I have a good feeling this team will playing for big stakes.

@nuleafjhawk I think you will see such a difference that it will surprise you. I remember when charlie came aboard, and we were all excited about it. This has a much different feel to it. There are almost too many things to list, from the way Les approaches recruiting, the motivation, the discipline, the obsession with all the little things, from the guys on the sidelines holding their hands above their waist, to the film room break downs after scrimmages. It's just in another zone, another class. This guy competed for years at the hardest job in America, and won a national title. He built a good Okie St football team out of the ashes, and was in the limelight of college football for years at LSU. It's what he does best. Charlie's best moments were with the Patriots, and college football was not his first love. I know he had some success at ND, but Charlie has never done even close to what Les has accomplished in college football. I think Les is the real deal. I am absolutely all in.
@nuleafjhawk Les is vastly superior to Charlie in every conceivable way. Especially running college football programs.

When they put LL in the starting lineup his junior year, we went 17-1 with him in the lineup. Many fans were hollering about it, but it proved to be the best move by far.
@Woodrow We have clear chance of playing all 3 of the other opponents in the Champions Classic ( Dook, MSU, Tucky) next year. I would love to go 3-0.

Is a surprise. I think we have a much easier path to the championship game than Sparty. We're playing Chaminade first round, while Sparty plays Va Tech. Then we face BYU/UCLA winner, while Sparty tangles with Georgia/ Dayton winner. Georgia is going to be pretty good, imo. They have the number #1 rated recruit ( Edwards) in the country.

20 points a game after he made it to the starting line up. With the NBA, there's a right time and a right place, and Kelly is at the right place at the right time. These two years are going to allow him to make alot of money not only now, but for probably years to come. I predict he'll put up some very impressive numbers that lots of teams will like.
@drgnslayr 95% of UNC's athletes participated. At first, it was only for athletes. Then, someone had the brilliant idea of opening it to the student body, so if they got caught, they could claim it was an academic issue- not an athletic one. Ingenious scam.
@jayballer73 I liked him from the first second because his tapes show some real good assists, great court vision, and some great drives. He has outstanding dribbling skills... still not sure his outside shot is there quite yet. The guy he reminds me of is a young Tyshawn. Without the turnovers.

I'm so digging my new computer, I'm inventing ways to use it. Like telling you my 4th of July beach experience. The truth is - I've always thought the July 4th celebration was the one day you didn't go to the beach. Crowded to mob size, in tight with the craziest, most drug addled people on earth. So, what was I thinking when I came up with the brilliant idea of going real early...REAL EARLY? I'll outsmart these rubes, these yankee transplants with the gross brown tans. The brown tans straight out of the movie " There's something about Mary". So, at 9:00amsharp, and I'm pulling in, and there isn't a parking space to be had. No where. Wall to wall people.
So, I didn't make out too well with my "brilliant" idea. The solution ? Drive all the way back across the roadway back to the park, find a parking spot, trudge back across the road....OR I could turn around and go home, with the memory of the day I got stupid, and tried to go to the beach on July 4th. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I feel like I lost 10 IQ points for that.

@Texas-Hawk-10 A 3 year starter, and a player who came in off the bench as a freshman, and played tremendously ...two guys that were essential to our Final Four run. Like someone else said, two grown men. You could be right that it takes them awhile to gel. I'm still of the opinion that we'll be doing 80 in a 45 from day 1.

@wissox It's going to be a memorable season. We're loaded with talent, experience, and depth. I don't think we'll have a sorting out period - I think this team will be ready to go Day 1. I'll bet we start with Dotson/Marcus/Ochai/Silvio/Doke. Moss will get sprinkled in, along with Big Dave. There will be times when we have 3 seniors on the floor ( Lightfoot is a question, or it could be 4 seniors. ) We had more than a few games last year where it was Dedric, and 4 freshmen on the floor last year. I think we're going to be astonished how good we look from the git-go. Bill's best teams have all had lots of experience, and this team is oozing with it. And his best players are all players coming back- no OAD minutes carve out. The experience on the team will carry us through the pre-conference, and the depth will allow us to maintain the excellence through conference. This is a 2 or 3 loss team, imo.
@Texas-Hawk-10 He's a project. 5 minutes or less, probably very little in conference. The skill set I like, but we won't see much of it this year.
