7-16 from the free-throw line in this kind of game or any game really is a problem.
Gotta finish that, Dot.
@Hawk8086 Ya I texted him at half.

First timer here.. how ya'll doing?
That was nice pick & roll by Dok!
Let's go Jayhawk!!!
Keep your hand away from @BShark 's mouth and you should be fine.
Braun kicks ass.
Doke went over-the-back there.

what changes at half?
Stop playing crap
I'd like to see more Braun in the 2nd half if Moss and Ochai continue to not do anything.
That looked off Doke.
To be fair, I don't think anyone expected that automatic left-handed hook to miss that badly.
I wonder if the guy doing the play-by-play knew he was going to be doing the play-by-play when he woke up this morning.
Ochai doesn't look very engaged today.
Honestly didn't really see a foul on Moss there.
Udoka - Steve Nash - Azubuike
Don't have to shoot as many free-throws if you make your lay-ups. Smart, Marcus.
Hey we made a free-throw!
I'm not sure our defense needs to collapse so much on drives that we give up a wide-open 3.
Back-door all the time today. That's how you punish defenses that over-play.
@DanR Good call.
How long until we go to a 4-1 today?
@BShark If we're losing at halftime I'll switch to your game thread.
Yours was 2nd.
Top 10 teams Ohio St, Memphis, Villanova, Louisville have all gone down. Let's avoid losing today!
Let's go
Villanova getting drilled at Marquette. Almost being outscored by Markus Howard.
@FarmerJayhawk Were you actually looking for an answer to that question? I think you already know. Your post implied that he would be the 10th man in the rotation if he played. I'm saying that Self probably isn't even sure who the 6th man in his rotation is yet, and that minutes for rotation players 6-10 are still up in the air.
Yes, he will have to get better defensively and improve in other areas as well. Will he? I don't know. He's a freshman. I certainly think he deserves the opportunity to try this season if he wants to.
I think there's a role for him on this year's team if he plays. That's it.
@Crimsonorblue22 Did he? We should probably never play him then. Freshman rarely improve.
@FarmerJayhawk You aren't the coach. You don't decide whether or not Jalen is the 10th man. You don't decide how many minutes he does play if he is the 10th man.
Dotson, Marcus, Ochai, Doke are getting minutes. After that? If anyone else isn't having a great game I could easily see Jalen taking that player's minutes for that particular game.
We'll see. I don't think Self has a definite rotation beyond maybe 4 or 5 players at this point.
@FarmerJayhawk Even small puzzle pieces can fit with the team. I think there's a role for Jalen to play on this year's KU team and I think we have a good shot at making a deep run in the tournament. If there's one game in March where Jalen's shooting is the difference between winning and losing then I want him to play this season.
@FarmerJayhawk And by the way I said people who can't see Jalen fitting with this team lack vision. Somehow that became Jalen would play 15-20 minutes per game and shoot a better % from 3 than he ever has.
And he doesn't need to pass anyone in the rotation to get minutes. Braun and Enaruna are behind Dotson, Garrett, Ochai, and probably Moss in the rotation and they still get minutes.
@FarmerJayhawk Braun. Enaruna. Moss. Any KU guard who is struggling. People are high on Braun right now and low on Enaruna. A while ago people were high on Enaruna and low on Braun. A guy like Jalen Wilson who can play at the 4 and knock down 3's is going to find minutes on a team where freshman struggle or heaven forbid players get injured. I never said it would be 15-20 minutes per game.
What are you going to say when it happens?
CU knocks off #4 Oregon.
@BShark Seriously. Who can't see a spot for a guy who can play a stretch 4 and shoot 3's on this team? That's some lack of vision.
CU making us look good right now. I hope they can finish it.
I can see the fit if he's knocking down 3's.
The Florida A&M Rattlers were 1-9 before beating Iowa St. I mean, even Kansas St beat them by 20. Holy hell, ISU.
Bilas is probably the best in-game commentator. I think Jimmy Dykes is pretty decent too. Vitale is noise. Fran is okay but sometimes it feels like he's officiating Kansas more than he is providing game commentary. Dakich tries to talk about the game but his opinions and insights are awful. Bill Walton doesn't care about anything and is more of an experience. He appeals to the casual, weed-smoking viewers who are there to have a good time and be entertained, and not so much the die-hard fans who take the games more seriously.
@wrwlumpy The game was in Cleveland too, almost a home game for Ohio St. It's like if we played at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
West Virginia only moving up to #16 is a bit of a joke. They should be ranked ahead of Michigan St, Michigan, Maryland, and maybe Ohio St.
Our game against West Virginia will be on ESPN+. Kansas will most likely be ranked #3 and West Virginia in the top 15 when the next poll comes out. It's pretty poor for that not to be a nationally televised game.
@Crimsonorblue22 Doke hasn't played well today, but he really has gotten a bs whistle.
Jon Sciambi looks like a member of The Goonies 40 years later.
Stop talking about Arizona, Dick.
@BShark There was a pretty bad over-the-back call on an offensive rebound last game.
@approxinfinity He has 4 fouls too. Nice job avoiding the 5th there.
I wouldn't mind seeing Braun and Silvio play more.
@Crimsonorblue22 The athleticism is too much. They can beat good teams like Butler because the disparity in athleticism isn't as large.
Ochai Wiggins
at Nova, at Stanford, vs WVU, at ISU, vs Baylor is a pretty tough stretch. Hopefully Doke shows up against Huggins.
