LSU might be the best team in the country.
EHHHHHHHHHH , - -really not to sure about that. - -maybe I suppose but man I like Baylor. - like commentators have said , they might be better then LAST YEAR - - just loaded
Commentators can say what they will. No way in hell that Baylor is better this year than they were last.
I think Remy will play maybe 15 or 18 minutes. Yesufu is going to see extended time tonight. Hope he steps up.

I'm old... I'mmmm oldddd... I'mmm mold!
I am a 63 old single father of two young children. We just watched Cobra Kai and I'm teaching them how to throw a front kick.
I can still do 10 consecutive hand stand pushups.
I'll die before I get old... I mean mold.
lol
PS: if you want to get old fast... just keep watching politics. The system is rigged... and by that I mean both sides (and their media cheerleaders) keep you engaged by pissing you off about the other one. Don't waste your time with these clowns.
If we need a non-basketball topic, it should be health and well-being! Something fruitful for everyone!
Happy New Year, my long-time Jayhawk buds! It has been my pleasure to be a part of this! You all rock... rock chalk!
Boom! Nothing to add to that other than saying, "and you're gonna keep on being a part of it!"
I expect Och to bounce back and Braun be Braun, could use some last game JCL in this one too to open things up. Yesufu needs to step up with Remy - if he even plays - being nowhere near a hundred percent.
@wissox that guy has been a clown car for a long time. His being not all there not even in question, at this point. You like that Badgers' win did you?
@drgnslayr I've thought the same, start playing Cam. Having given his situation more thought I now tend to agree with many here, that he's probably not going to get alot of playing time next year. If that be the case, then why even bother redshirt him?

Based on what we've seen of Adams in his limited minutes and the eye test he should be playing more then the last 2 minutes of a half. As others have said he can switch on defense, he hustles for loose balls, is an active rebounder, moves the ball extremely well within the offense. He isn't forcing things and he's doing what he can to help this team. Personally I think its worth giving him some extended minutes to see what that does.
Just a thought; what we if he played the 4 instead of Jalen when we subbed? He does a lot of the same things. And Jalen can’t throw it in the ocean right now so we wouldn’t lose shooting.
I think this would be interesting, Self will never do it with the way he talks about Jalen despite Jalen being terrible.
And that is a problem. Not only is he playing terrible, but he also doesn't seem to be too popular with the rest of the team. He is a guy who after this season I will be glad to see go.
I would not only support playing KJ first off the bench at the 4, but maybe giving him a few minutes at the 5 too.
@BeddieKU23 the way that Dave and Wilson are playing, what would it hurt right? From what I've seen, he brings a needed energy when he comes in. How many other teams out there would love to have an Adams in their lineup? I'd hate to see the guy transfer due to misplaced loyalties.
@FarmerJayhawk the guy was always in position, rebounded his ass off, hit his free throws. You're right, he'd be a great fit.

I used to be a frequent poster on this website. It was really fun.
Around mid 2018 some of the politics and race stuff started getting pretty intense, and I ended up in some pretty heated exchanges with other posters. I realized that I was becoming something I didn't want to be and took a step back for a while. Blocked some of the more problematic posters (the right decision for me personally).
I know I post less as a result of that. But it isn't just that. I also have had a lot of things in my life change (many of them positive, but some negative) that have taken my time away from this board. I wouldn't change that now.
I used to never miss a KU basketball game. Now I miss two or three a season easily. I haven't watched every game since probably the 2017-18 season. Life just kind of evolved along the way.
Was the politics stuff messy? Yeah. Did it take me away from the board? For a time, yes. But the bigger thing is that my life changed over that span of time just as much, maybe even more. I miss enough games these days that my analysis isn't very in depth anymore. I used to know all the recruits, all the players, all the matchups. Now I barely know anyone that isn't on KU's team, and don't even know every guy on the team that well. I used to know each guys high school highlights and could compare them easily. Now I see guys once they get into games at KU. It's just different now, but I am getting some more time freed up and will probably be on here more, though you won't see me posting about politics anytime soon.
With you, man... No more political posts for me either. During elections I'll vote as always, but throwing my political beliefs out there, why? This is Meer Chat Manor, afterall.
I guess what I'm saying is that I do not want Wilson to return. I'll take a huge upside Adams over Wilson any day of the week.
@wissox Hope your dad gets well.
I am not a Coach doubter, you all know, but Adams needs to play some backup 5, 4 and even some spot post-up 3. He'll have a great chance to start next year as a small 5 or at 4. I want him to play and stay in Lawrence.
You know, not into conspiracy theories, I'm not... But if that game wasn't fixed, none ever have been. Every time that the Bengals needed to keep a drive alive, boom a KC penalty. Guess they wanted to make sure that Burrow made the playoffs lol. They just made this one too obvious, even a novice fan would know.
Bengals got some serious ref homecooking going on today, though. Makes you wonder if the NFL would like to see Burrow in the playoffs? Just sayin.
Smart gameplan by the Chiefs today. They realize that Clyde is injured (isn't he always? For real?), so they are playing while looking long game not running Williams all that much just to be safe. Very smart. This team is for real again.
I think it's safe to say that our recruiting might be on the upswing.
I am interested to hear all of your thoughts on what you think of Adams?
I wish that this topic could be renamed Meer Chat Manor.

Well well well.
Obviously my harsh words for JCL in another earlier thread (send him packing!) brought him out of his slump, or whatever you wanna call it.
So, I’d like to take this moment to say BENCH Big Dave. Send him packing!!!
(I expect 30/15 next game)
To quote the great philosopher Jack Sparrow, "then we have an accord?" We expect no less than 30/15 from Dave next game.
But Enaruna, the guy is balling. I'm glad to see it, just wish he would've been able to do it in Lawrence. Any word on Muscadin?
@mayjay I liked his Heisman pose.
@wissox players taking off for ten or 15 game stretches in the NBA while already getting paid and not even being injured, that I am not onboard with. I don't fault college players who skip bowls, unless it's the CFP. If were going to the NFL I wouldn't play in the Mayo Bowl.
@approxinfinity said in Non-KU Games:
Enaruna had a nice first half. We could have used him.
Yeah, I wasn't pleased when Enaruna left.
@Kcmatt7 Yeah, he's not a basketball player, but look at Quinn Ewers. Top hs qb that reclassed and signed at Ohio State, banked a huge NIL deal. Got beat out by Stroud, so he left for Austin before the end of the season (and I don't blame him). I think he has four years of eligibility left, new NIL deal to follow.
It is not the greatest case study example, not even close, but that they are going to have to tweek the rules - especially in basketball - there is no doubt.
@approxinfinity What is the record?
@mayjay said in Mere Chat Room:
I am always happy when I get my left-wing cred back to go with my right! I have always been so dismayed since a law prof labelled me "the fount of the waters of the conservative backlash" just because I asked a question about whether it ever could be proper not to have female guards in an Alabama max prison.
"Commies to the left of me,
Trumpers to the right...
Here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you."
Yes, you are a true reservoir dog...
@Kcmatt7 good post.
I have never been afraid to post my opinions here. People both agree and disagree (usually disagree 😂) with me, but that's life isn't it? I think we usually avoid politics or political leanings, unless in the politics or general forums.
I am not so sure that you need to ban whoever it is, as long he tries to stay civil. Man, who would've thought @Texas-Hawk-10 to be a left leaning commie?
@approxinfinity hard for there to be any bench continuity if they never play.
There's a blast from the past, Steve Woodberry. Signed when Roy was trying to build an imprint and depth, a very solid player. Where did he play high school ball again? I'm being lazy, not googling.
Man,,, that's bad news. May God be with him.
Wow.. That's too bad.

KU women's game was canceled not too long ago because of Covid issues within the KU women's program.
ya I went to ESPN plus and couldn't find. - went to NCAA womens Basketball and showed it was Cancelled, was just wondering before I saw your post because of who.
Well so Covid has invaded the KU Basketball - -hope this doesn't get transmitted to the men - better lock it up tight as a drum
The woman don't live in McCarthy so it shouldn't be an issue in regards to the men being exposed.
Ahh that's right I forgot. Still need to be careful which I'm sure the men's Coaching staff all over that - to close for comfort. - -I forgot about them not being in the same dorms though, was just thinking Athletic dorms. - Appreciate it buddy
Although rumor has it that the men's team wishes that they did 😉

Latest Fox News insanity: One of their hosts who interviewed Trump tried to discount Trump's pro-vax comments as due to him being old and thus, like many seniors, not being able to use the internet. That kept him from being able to do his own personal research, and left him stuck with relying on the pro-vax biased mass media.
You just could not be twisted enough to make this shit up.

@Marco lazy teachers! You need to walk in their shoes for a day! Unless you are at school you have NO idea!
I'm not saying the majority of them, but we have all had bad teachers. Which means that there are alot of bad teachers out there.
I'll reiterate, am pro-vaccine, but - that but not due to my already having Covid - I am also fluid. Is shutting down games or life, or going back to remote learning going to help us. The people who want the vaccine have but all already received it. So what, keep shutting everything down indefinitely? Yet another year of remote learning - alot of lazy teachers out there, just saying - will do massive damage to our student's education. And what would it gain? Not much. Punish the unvaccinated.
