Adams (and I realize he's nowhere near there,,, ever, so don't crucify me) is Barkley-esque big and can rebound his ass off. He is athletic as all get out, and if he develops his ballhandling and shooting skills look out. I do not want Adams to go anywhere.

What I fear? That he'll look at who we have coming back and those coming in while thinking, 'what about me?' I think the guy could get serious minutes at three positions, starter minutes if even as a backup. Not to say that I think he should be a backup next year.

I'll just say it, I'd rather have KJ playing for the team next year than Wilson. There, I feel better now.

Symptom free, out of quarantine. Feel free to disagree and you all know that I am pro-vaccine, but I'm thinking - and we're all going to get it - that once you get your vaccines and the booster, ride it out...

I for one will not get - not until this time again next year, if even then - another booster. Our bodies need time to adapt in order to fight it off.

Whoops, wrong again... Think the Chiefs are gonna be just fine.

Not fully yet, but getting there. Was just diagnosed yesterday. It really sucks not being able to be around the rest of the family on Christmas. How long have you had it? Did they tell you the variant? They didn't tell me. Just said I was positive. And like a dummy I didn't even ask.

Girlfriend gave it to me, and like myself she is fully vaccinated with the booster. We've been pretty careful. Really, we have no idea where we got it.

I have it too, found out yesterday. Same symptoms as @wissox. Had I not been vaccined I would've undoubtedly been alot worse off than I am now, the shots basically turning it into a cold.

Never a good time to get it, but it really sucks having to isolate during the holidays. Bigtime bummer.

@mayjay I have reconsidered, and you're right. Punishing our athletes wouldn't accomplish much of anything.

We had a mask mandate that wasn't strictly enforced because middle school kids don't always like to follow rules. When we go back in January though, the mask mandate will be lifted. I do still plan on wearing a mask and was planning on it even before getting it again.

That's good of you @Texas-Hawk-10, but it's not about masks, at this point. It is about those who refuse to be vaccined.

"It is about choice!," they all cry. Bullshit. And this isn't even close to being a 2nd Amendment issue - I support the Second Amendment, and deer hunt occasionally - which I know to be one of the underlying issues for many just flat out refusing to get the vaccine.. They think the government wants to control.

It takes a whack job to kill for no reason with a firearm, but by not getting the vaccine even those that most think to be totally sane could inadvertently be killing someone - a big difference!

Time to make the vaccines mandatory.

And that, in a nutshell, is what our team is and will be to reach its' full potential - less of Dave and a whole hell of alot of Och, CB and Remy with others filling in.

Dave is a dinosaur in our current lineup, crucify me if you will. How much you wanna bet (I hope I'm right) that Coach doesn't ever recruit another big like Dave? And don't say that Udeh is like Dave because he isn't; Udeh has a higher ceiling with more motor and mobility, as well as coordination. And a desire to beat the hell out of his opponents.

TCU with a solid win road win against Georgetown. Georgetown is pretty bad but road games are hard.

With Dave at the 5, Braun and Ochai doing what they do and they both need to keep doing it, and Remy and JCL starting to come on and others also contributing where does that leave Jalen? For real? Can he out rebound Braun or Dave? Where will he position himself?

I am onboard with what @BShark said, he needs to be Dave's backup. Why? Because he needs to play inside, only occassionally drifting out. He cannot play alongside Dave, it hurts the flow of the team.

After the wind there was a huge electrical event with some heavy rain. Tomorrow it's supoosed to fall to 14.

CB and Och took huge leaps, Jalen seems to have become worse somehow (though I think there is a mental aspect).

I think he's uncomfortable, realizing that they're both more talented than he is. He's going to have to come off the bench as a sub 5 or 4, about 15 minutes per game tops. Zach deserves and needs some pt this season while getting ready for next.

I lived in 5 European countries and would constantly see KU clothing everywhere! I can't say that about any other school... or I would say it.

I think Jayhawk fans quickly learn how special it is to be fans of KU basketball.

I was fortunate enough to be at KU when AFH was open for anyone to use during the days when it wasn't in use for school functions. I lived down around Alabama and 23rd and would make the uphill climb on my bike every morning early and hoop it in AFH. Even playing in pickup games felt special. Always felt like basketball Gods were watching, usually probably holding their noses! lol

That is a very cool Memory.

Pretty windy out, and 80 degrees. I'm not a scientist or anything, but gee, wonder if the weather is changing? Used to be May when there were tornadoes, now in December...

Considering that he almost singlehandedly in '08 stopped us from going to the Final Four and winning a national championship, his accomplishments don't surprise me. But man, what a feat, the all-time three point leader and he's not even close to being done!

Just a hunch I have regarding Martin. I don't think he came here to redshirt either. He knew was stuck behind Dave but he couldn't beat Mitch or Zach for minutes so he gets to practice with D1 kids all year before evaluating his options. Self also went and signed 2 front court studs from HS so I think he's one to watch.

I feel ya, but with him having a year to practice with the team and with his outside shooting ability you don't think he could contribute next season? Serious question.

I heard one of the announcers on the Mizzou broadcast suggest that some guys are just better when they start. For me, a guy with Jalen's talent, or anyone at this level for that matter, should be able to produce no matter the role or the circumstances. I hope Bill continues to bring him off the bench until he shows us something and doesn't reward him with a starter's role just because he "should" be playing better or because he's supposedly better when he starts. Don't mean to pile on Jalen, but something is going on with him. You don't just forget how to put the ball in the hoop when you have D-1 talent ... do you?
