TOS is The Other Site. Meaning it came from Rivals.
@nuleafjhawk I know yours were, but I do not think some of the others were. I actually think some people / fans want Self fired.
@HighEliteMajor Because the NCAA has over reached here. They are trying to make a statement and example out of Self and KU, and in the long run that is not going to work out for them. I have heard multiple national writers who cover college basketball state that they will not be surprised at all if this ends up in federal court with KU suing the NCAA.
Fans / people over react all the time when seeing things like this. It is not all doom and gloom even though half the fan base thinks it is.
@BeddieKU23 Of course there are going to be penalties, but it is not going to be nearly as severe as people are freaking out about. I am guessing it will be a loss in recruiting time / a reduction in scholarships for a couple years, and Self gets 5-10 game suspension. Also, they will be put on probation.
Wow. Just wow. What is happening in this thread??! Do people not think KU did not know this was coming for sometime now. They have been working on this for months. Nothing that came from the NCAA yesterday was a surprise. This will be fought to the very end, and personally there will be some penalties, but it is not going to be anything major.
@cragarhawk Is you opinion really that this doesn't happen everywhere?
Also, can we please stop with the "fire Self" BS. Good grief.

@jayballer73 He mad his visit. I saw some pictures posted on Twitter earlier today.
Hopefully the staff doesn't slow play KK Robinson for Thompson. They need a PG in this class for sure.
Roosevelt Wheeler a big man from VA is taking a unofficial.

Couple tweets from Evan Daniels this morning that I found interesting. Sure KU is still considered a blue blood, but they are not acquiring talent any longer like one. Also, it looks like there might be a handful of top 25 kids taking the pro route this year...
5* big man Walker Kessler committed to UNC tonight
What a throw
@FarmerJayhawk is that due to this or something totally unrelated???
@BeddieKU23 You don't think every coach has told recruits why would you go play for a team that is not going to be able to play in the tournament. I 100% believe it affected the 2019 class and there is no doubt it has affected 2020.
@jayballer73 I think that is someone being a troll. Self has said numerous times he plans to stick it out , but maybe he thought they were in the clear. Who the hell knows at this point.
Shitty thing is they are going to be good this year, but know they will have this hanging them all year.
@HighEliteMajor Oh yea I am with you. However, the NCAA is going to go big and then KU will appeal and they will meet somewhere in the middle.
I just don't know what worse case scenario is. IMO it would be Self saying F this and leaving. Second would be a postseason ban.
We won't know anything until they get the NOA and see what is in it. That is a extremely vague report by the Star.
I guess now we no why recruiting is suffering
KU will also be in to talk to Kerwin Walton.
https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2020/kerwin-walton-232884 β
This class / cycle is just bizarre. I haven't heard KU associated with a lot of these kids that they are checking in on. Usually we have a idea of who they are targeting, but it seems right now we have no clue. ( besides the complete obvious)
A KU assistant will be in today to see Dawson Garcia who announced his top 7 a couple days ago.
Duke picks up its 3rd 5* of the class in D.J. Steward.
That is 4 conference games. There are 4 non-conference games and both exhibitions on ESPN + as well. So a total of 10 games. Pretty ridiculous.
4 games on ESPN +. So I guess I am going to have to finally break down and get that.
KK Robinson is down to a final 7. Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa St, Texas A&M, TCU, Vanderbilt, and KU.
Self and Townsend are going to be at Oak Hill today to check in on him as well.
Gross. Offering JC kids already... WTF is going on
It is amazing that nobody really even mentioned or talked about this. That is the only article I saw on it.
Read this article this morning and found it pretty interesting. He has some quotes from Self in there as well.
Caleb Love is now down to Mizzou, Louisville, UNC, and KU.
Sounds like Mizzou is a lot bigger player than most thought.
KU will be at Oak Hill today to check in on KK Robinson.
As @HighEliteMajor said it has never been against the law for players to make money of there likeness. It is against the NCAA rules. This bill passing in CA does absolutely nothing to change that.
I think if you make a switch this early and MacVittie is just brutal it is hard to go back without losing the team. I am more disappointed that MacVittie couldn't beat Stanley out to begin with . Stanley needs to use his legs more to gain some yards on the ground.
Not sure if this was posted but JT Thor announced his top 5 last week. Kentucky, UCLA, Georgia, Oklahoma State, and KU.
Self is conducting a in home visit with Thompson today. He will be the first coach to see him during the beginning of this live period.
Also 7 foot big man Davion Bradford who plays for MOKAN is taking a unofficial to Late Night.

There are always houses and or people charging to park around the stadium. Might cost you 20$ or so but not a bad deal. Last week I know they had buses running from downtown which is cheaper but not as convenient obviously.
You can also valet your car at the Oread for maybe 30$ which is nice with it being so close.
Iβll go with 32,000 people and KU 27-20
@FarmerJayhawk Gotcha. I took it as you thought KU was just window dressing.

You don't think KU has a shot with Thompson?
Moses Moody cut his list to 7. USC, Michigan, Ohio St., Oregon, Arkansas, Florida, and KU.

This guy is taking a official this weekend. First I have heard of him.
@jayballer73 Yea, that is a kid Bill needs to lock up. He would be a great addition and a nice start to the 2020 class.
Thompson up to #14 in the new 247 rankings. Really hope Bill can land him.
@BeddieKU23 Oh I agree 100%. Just don't see the need to come out with a list. Just go take your visit and commit.
I hope the staff is prioritizing Love and Thompson.
So dumb. Why even come out with a top 5 and then commit the next day...

I read yesterday that Nix was going to cut his list to 5 today. Has anyone seen anything on that?
Also we made the top 10 for Jaemyn Brakefield. Bot sure how big of a player KU is in that one though.
He announced it's happening. Prediction: Kentucky, Maryland, Alabama, KU, UCLA.
Nailed it!

Damn. Thatβs a huge loss not just for the basketball and football teams but for KU as well. Hudy is arguably the best at what she does and was a great ambassador for the University. I canβt imaging Bill is very happy with this.
I will be pleasantly but very surprised if this team wins 4 games. I know it is a completely new staff, new attitude, but I am going to have to see some on the field progress before I believe we are going to win 4 or 5 games.
Better them than Kentucky.
