nothing inspires confidence in an ivy league team like dog ugly offense.
omg svi.
Doke coming in.
yes vick! you're the most athletic guy on the court! step up!
yes devonte.. take over buddy.
Being the first 1 seed to lose is the last accolade in the world we need.
looks like a royal buttchewing at half time. lets not get way down.
Please oh please stop looking like hot garbage and settle down.
J':moneybag: manning up for OK at the right time.
Want Rick Barnes to meet Texas and destroy them.
@stupidmichael I'm scared!
Locked and loaded. Good luck all!
@dylans yeah, that's definitely not cool...
but, re: octogenarians doing whatever... I think that feeling of weirdness is a product of our culture. we are segregated by age all through grade school, and then for the most part are expected to have friends roughly our own age, and we are expected to live in separate houses with our children until they are adults and move out, and then we put our parents in assisted living facilities when the time is right.
Also, we have created this concept of sterile accomodations like hotels where there is no trace of any personality from an owner. I really like AirBnB because I think it reverses that trend. I like personal touches in houses in which I stay. I like the concept of an innkeeper.
So I agree, everything in our culture has taught us to see octogenarian BnB hosts as foreign. And our culture teaches us that foreign is weird, and so undesireable.
But for me, I'm cool with the concept.
What I'm not cool with is the overabundance of cameras. So I'd be a little more creeped out by those tech savvy social media loving BnB owning young people.
@dylans sex isn't weird. It's actually quite normal.
Bump, 2+ hours to go until brackets are locked.
@Crimsonorblue22 well I want Bobby hurley to lose as soon as he eliminates Boeheim.
AZ state on a run to start second half. Boeheim crying to the refs. Let's go Sun Devils!
@wissox :) No can do on the B&B at my house unfortunately, but here's some more info on the tourney...
Here's the site:

As we get closer to the PIT tournament, especially right after the NCAA Tourney ends, the rosters will be posted. Because the players' stock fluctuates some guys don't show you think will show, but the overall talent level is excellent.
Here are the players from last year:

I doubt Devonte or Svi will go to the PIT this year but I wanted to put in on your radar if you're in or near Virginia. It is a great tournament. Get to watch from right courtside teams full of borderline NBA talent play in a high school gym and you can get a day pass for $18 a person I think. It's fantastic if you love college basketball. Worth even a road trip and bed and breakfast if you're into that sort of thing.
@bskeet was lucky to catch EJ at the Portsmouth Invitational after his senior year. At that point I think he was healthy and his hops were rediculous. Super nice kid. We have a picture with him and the trophy (his team won it all).
@Texas-Hawk-10 Those are two of the more pivotal questions I believe. I did not say I want him to abandon his approach; I don't, but I think the answers to those two questions need to be heavily considered, and I think that he needs to be flexible, as Self has been flexible.
For the sake of discussion, how successful do you think Self would have been if he didn't recruit OADs at Kansas, and didn't embrace the 3 ball?
From a talent perspective, I'd take Bennett in a heartbeat, but if I were Zenger I'd want answers to these 2 questions to determine fit (by asking Bennett directly, and some investigation and soul searching):
1. When you come to Kansas, will you be willing to recruit OAD type talent? Meaning, time and effort recruiting, and the outcomes from having OAD type players.
2. When you come to Kansas, will you be willing to embrace the 3 ball (UVA 267th in 3pt attempts, 29th in 3pt % this year)?
I'm not saying that these answers are knockout questions if the answer is no. But I'd like to consider extensively where he stands on these two things.
T minus 29:22
@DanR :) sweet revenge fantasy bro.
@mayjay I was considering Detroit Midwest, yeah. And I don't really consider NC south. As it is the heart of ACC country, I consider it east.
Well I guess Michigan would face either SD St or Houston in Omaha. Of all the pods only the Midwest seems to have pods that are regionally appropriate. Based on locations, Wichita, Omaha and San Antonio is fantastic for us.
@BeddieKU23 thanks
Anyone have a bracket with the locations for each pod on it? The ones I looked at don't have the sites on them. I'm assuming michigan won't be in neutral locations in the west.
@chriz Duke is soft and we will tear them up if our bigs can avoid foul trouble.

Bump
bump :rolling_eyes: it's because I never go through basketball topic, always recent, and it won't stay on top in recent with the pin, only in basketball.
why am i bumping a pinned topic? something ain't right...
bump!
Without further adieu, here is the link to the OFFICIAL KU Buckets [ESPN] Tournament Pick Em Challenge! If you win [over every other bracket in the country], I will personally guarantee you that I [believe that ESPN] will pay you $19,950!
Click here for Tournament Challenge. This is not a Rick Roll. ↗
More importantly, if you have the best bracket on our board, you'll be the talk of the town [assuming Kansas wins it all, otherwise this board will be a ghost town and we'll all forget by the time the new season rolls around]!
Come join us!
Show off that NCAA Basketball knowledge, skill or whatever! Put in as many brackets as you like!
I'll get our bracket group going on ESPN at lunch.
@justanotherfan the committee didn't do uva any favors.
@Crimsonorblue22 I missed it. I was too busy cleaning up my vomit after K's pampered ass said it doesn't matter where you get placed in the bracket.
@Hawk8086 agreed. Newman always planned to leave.
Just listen to his post game after dropping 30. The first thing he said was "these are the money games". He knows that from here on out the scouts are watching. It is the light at the end of the tunnel that he has been waiting for and now that it is here I expect 110% effort and focus from Malik, as it appears that he has successfully found and flipped that switch.
If he maintains this level I would expect him to test and receive enough interest to go. I think the college experience is of less importance to Malik than getting paid. This isnt unreasonable, and I think he's been transparent about his intentions which made recruiting easier for Self as I'm assuming everyone in the backcourt next year knows that barring disaster Malik is gone.
@wrwlumpy hi ho Silvio! Awesome
@JayHawkFanToo agreed.
Lol
@JayHawkFanToo lolol good one! :joy:
I tweeted @JayBilas. Grayson may not have a soul, but JayBilas does, and can be shamed for feigning impartialilty about Allen.
@jaybate-1-0 :) Thanks man. I will definitely check it out.
I've been going to Cape Cod since I was a kid, and when we go, the spirit of the place inhabits me. I love everything about Cape Cod; it's maritime history, pirate and otherwise, it's native american and puritan roots, and the hard but warm edge of the people that lived there before tourism made it a desired destination, which still lives on even as the old timers pass, it's stubborn defiance to widen the 2 lane highway that runs through it, the most amazing amateur Summer baseball league in the country, a wonderful collection of museums and events focusing on the cape's marine life, and walking miles of flats in the bay at low tide. I chase fish and pick up crabs in the shallows with my kids and feel timeless; it is what I have done since I was their age. It all amounts to a feeling of belonging, and being off the grid.
The Cape is changing. But it has changed with grace and a hidden power in my life that it has yet to relinquish.
I think it would really drain my batteries if I tried to raise my kids in a city. It is pointless to have this list by state I agree. But it might be a little more meaningful to do it by county.
It's Garrett time.
Kerwin Roach just got his tooth chipped in half by Wiggington who threw his elbow into Roach's face as he drove past him. How can that not be a foul as much as they talk about that stuff?
!

@BShark pretty great that he's being so open about it.
