Dont understand why Flory isnt out there when shit goes south for 8 minutes
Good looking shot Mayo
God, we are braindead right now
Edgecombe wild
My 6 year old just asked âwhat the hell is trickeration?â
Oh
Boy
Happy with KJ coming off the bench and bringing fire. Feel like this game should only strengthen the argument for KJ as 6th man. Its working.
@Texas-Hawk-10 has helped space the floor though
@stoptheflop mayo may be regressing to the mean after a hot start? If thsts the case for him as well as the rest of the transfers heating up we should be in good shape
Whats going on with KSt btw
Hunter is a baller ina today
Good block hunter
Way to draw the foul Storr⌠but⌠can you not get yourself wrecked?
I missed the earlier KJ minutes. Looks like Baylor didnt score with him in, nice.
Edgecombes pretty good.
@stoptheflop wow
Hm. Hunter jumpers from elbow with Flory under, i like it
Here we go.
@Crimsonorblue22 never thought about it before but the past tense of lead is led, so if you say âthey dont want to be leadâ is that a grammatical issue or a spelling issue? Crazy that led is a homophone of lead the mineral but also the past tense of lead the verb.
English man, crazy shit.
@FarmerJayhawk yeah, I figured the first part, didn't consider how the return might manifest. ugly.
@FarmerJayhawk what are the likely consequences of this?
It could have gone the other way but it would have been a bad call, I think. We got lots of bad calls in our favor that night, but that wasnât one of them. My opinion of course, which I dont think is biased this time :)
I guess the military aircraft was flying too high. Just negligence of protocol I guess.
Why werw they at Reagan? Doubt there will be true accountability
Heard the military talks to a different tower. Certainly seems like a big oversight.
@MR11 interesting option, addition of time. I mean Duke gets extra time anyway, why not everyone else? :)
@HoraceZontal thats how i saw it as well from the behind cam
@dylans good point
I predict a double double for Dajuan and Flory Saturday.
@SlimShaddy54 Flory could be leader with time, but is quickly becoming dog. When he went up against Big Ern you could read his body language "I'm going to kick this guys ass" and he did.
I don't know if bigs can be leaders though, at least alone, in the modern era. Need guard leadership.
Yeah. I know what this team needs:

Announcer praising Kelvin Sampson: âno matter what happens, his guys know he is in charge, and he used his timeouts properly to build the lead back upâ.
Hm.
In the screenshot @kjayhawks posted he was shielding with his left hand as it was fouled by Griffen. Ball was only in his right. If we want to say waving one handed at the rim 50 feet away is a shot then you may as well get rid of fouls on the floor.
@wissox that doesnt mean he was in a shooting motion. It means he picked up his dribble. You have to draw the line somewhere. If i get a defensive rebound, see you running and looking the other way and i step in front of you and when you crash into me, hurl the ball from my hip at my rim 90 feet away do you think theyd give me 3 shots? Lol.
@kjayhawks thanks for this. Little ridonkulous innit?
I think the more you have to assemble the pieces and parts, the harder it becomes if your leaders arent your best scorers, it is a logical default people can rally behind.
And when you bring in a bunch of âdefense optionalâ scoring transfers, that confuses the situation all the more.
@drgnslayr sadly, i think âleadership by committeeâ may be caused by our longest tenured starters not being our best offensive players in a system that is complex enough that it causes less tenured players to defer to said lesser stars.
I will say Selfs championship teams and runner up all had elements of leadership by committee but the best offensive players were some of the most tenured.
@benshawks08 yeah that was what i thought i saw (Diggy getting torched) but wanted to hear it from someone else. Thanks :)
@Zabudda With the 4 you mentioned as a core, I think Rylan has a good chance to shine as our 5th.
I do think Flory learns quickly and has the knack. Could be a really good pro.
Im curious, if Selfâs action is complicated why does he recruit guys who cant do it? Where is the disconnect? If we hire someone weak in IT we look at the interview process. Is it really not possible to determine if a kid will be able to run your stuff or not? Specifically a PG, seems like you would figure that out.
How complicated are the things they are being asked to do? What is a reasonable time frame for knowing the plays in Selfâs system?
I will tweak it a little more later. Its def weak in places
Haha no its meant to sound like this https://m. â
@BeddieKU23 i hope he gets more chances
My chatgpt generated parody with some coachingâŚ
Flory Bidunga (Parody of Baby Beluga)
(Verse 1)
Flory Bidunga in the lane so wide,
Throwing down dunks with power and pride,
Swats that shot, now hear the crowd,
Allen Fieldhouse getting loud!
(Chorus)
Flory Bidunga, Flory Bidunga,
Is the rim still whole? Did the backboard hold?
When you dunk so heavy?
(Verse 2)
Drop step, rise up, rimâs gonna bend,
Two-hand slam, do it again,
Rebound, outlet, run the floor,
Floryâs coming back for more!
(Chorus)
Flory Bidunga, Flory Bidunga,
Is the rim still whole? Did the backboard hold?
When you dunk so heavy?
(Outro)
Late at night, when the game is through,
Another win, thanks to you,
Jayhawk legend, strong and true,
Flory B, we love you!
I agree with almost everything @rockchalkjayhawk but KJ should no longer be a starter, so down 1 starter (harping because he rushed back from injury and that should not change the equation; Flory should start going forward). This may be arguing semantics. I would acknowledge down 1.5 heavy rotation players.
And, I think Rylan did more than shoot. Most def should not be a primary handler but otherwise he contributed in several areas, I thought and it stuck out to me during game when on ball. I will have to keep my eye on him a little more off ball, especially on the defensive end @drgnslayr . I havent been paying attention there
Who was responsible most for the open shooters when UCF got into their action?
@kjayhawks go to bed homey! Lol. I gotta pack lunches . :peace_symbol:
@wissox thats fair. But just because he raised his arms doesnât mean it was a shooting motion. He also had several teammates downcourt to pass to, and having watched more NBA than i care to admit, i would have been very surprised it they awarded that a foul. I have seen Steph Curry flail for the foul on shots he actually has business shooting and doesnt get. I overreacted about Haase. What irritated me was a) he is Haase b) he was telling us it was a foul, not suggesting that it might be a foul.
I guess thats his job, but its asking for a firm response.
@Jhawk69 why you doggin Storr like that?? ;)
@kjayhawks haha yeah. And in this thread you did give him props for his defensive impact. I will agree to disagree about our offense. I think Juan running the offense more methodically means much much fewer transition buckets for UCF.
I think @Texas-Hawk-10 is referring to your post about befriending Juan on insta or whatever and referring to Juan saying he wanted some of whatever you were eating. Meanwhile youâve been one of the more vocal Juan bashers. Imo its not really duplicitous to say one thing to players and another on here, but you made the two worlds collide by telling us you are friendly with him. Lol
But, I agree this was hangover from another thread.
people are blowing off steam, we probably should move on?
