Speaking of makeup calls tonight, Fran is having a nice makeup call in avoiding the KU hate
OK ESPN, thanks for reminding me that there's a Duke game coming up
I would've never guessed when we first landed Frank that he'd be this good. His shooting has dramatically improved, maybe even over last year
Landen's D ain't great but glad he's staying out of foul trouble

I forgot to give a PHOF! for the great headline to your post!
Lol much appreciated Jaybate. That might be my first!
At the rate they're going they'll be none and done
Wow. Scott Drew is a horrible coach. Good recruiter though, and I guess recruiting is part of being a coach.

I wish Bruce could have kept him... That would have made this year a lot more fun.
I'm not sure that losing to KState at AFH would be "fun"
Baylor generally does well in the non conference and tourney but not in the Big XII because everyone in the Big XII is used to their zone.
@Texas-Hawk-10 [I'd bet he'd LOVE to watch Mrs. Hinson play](

@Texas-Hawk-10 we saw the last game and it couldn't have ended better! I stand w/Self. They are trash!
I'm with you, couldn't care less about playing them. I'm glad we won the last game, the way we did especially, and I love watching their program go up in flames.
They're so bad they're not even worth murdering. And I love it.
I suppose if we got to the point where we didn't have anything else to play for it might be fun. But with every season meaningful, what's the use?
the assistant coaches get into it ↗
(and when it's Missouri)
Not sure if it was on the link above, but I loved LL's comment about the tech flop at the end of the 1st half. He said it reminded him of someone who used to play for OSU. LOL Landen!
Well done, well done.
yeah, he used to be one of my favorites. not sure what happened. something to do with his kid?
@Crimsonorblue22 said:
@chriz at least they didn't get 21 layups-21 ksu
Wow, did kstate really get that many layups?!

@DoubleDD I'm happy with the win and most of the game elements, but we can't just let teams shoot unguarded 3s over and over from the top of the arc. Why not guard it?
Yeah I'm a bit concerned there too. Prevent D works better in the NFL than it does in b-ball.
@BeddieKU23 said:
really nice stretch of shooting that put this game away. defense was better
That sums up the game right there. Would've loved to have kept them in the 50s.
So why does Fran make that home and home comment unless he rooting against KU?
@BShark said:
Just your standard guy that has made one three all year making three of them so far.
Reminds me of UNI

@bskeet I think Vick was to quick for ref, not sure he fouled. I didn't see
And why call something they assume happened? How about erring on the side of not calling it? I HATE PHANTOM CALLS!

Fran is OPENLY rooting against the Jayhawks these days.
There he goes again, hating on KU with the travel reference

Self ought to show this article to his team. Talk about pride in Jayhawk rebounding.
!images.jpg ↗ surely this guy has an airline
Good question. I'm not too familiar with their team and don't remember much of them from last year, but do they have a lot of senior leadership? Not that I think KU is lacking in that department at all with our mix.
I love this year's team and love the blend of senior leadership and young talent. If we don't make the final four this year, I'll be dumbfounded.
I've always wondered if there's an element of toughness instilled on the east coast that's not instilled in the western states. It's rare that any team west of the Mississippi will cut down the nets. Obviously there are less schools on the west coast, and talent generally heads east for more media exposure. But it's still enough to make me wonder if it's a question of toughness, both physical and mental.
He saw Bragg was coming back lol
@HawkChamp maybe I should watch again, and maybe my expectations are too high for him, but just little things like not catching passes he should catch, not being aware of mismatches, not rotating on D quick enough, not making many smart plays.
Like I say, he hustled, but wasn't playing smart. In my opinion.
@Bosthawk great point on JJ.
Bragg has head issues right now. He's hustling but he's not focused. I don't remember these issues last year, but I also don't recall is expecting him to be strong inside.
Either way, he's gotta get his head in the game.
How many TCU free throws hit the front of the rim first?
We just gotta get this game over ASAP. Landen and Mason are the only ones who showed up. Senior leadership.

Looking for JJ to come out with a vengeance 2nd half
Well you can call me Nostradumbass

Two ugliest things: JJ's play tonight and Kendrick Williams hair
And Jamie Dixon's hair
This is the Landen we expected
Sometimes Frank tries TOO hard to draw contact
Wow, Shepard remind me a whole lot of Perry
Bad D by Carlton but why was it a foul?
Anyone know which school Mason originally committed to? 😉

The rest of the league looks tough. Would never have guessed at the beginning of the season. Before the season I would've taken KU over the field. Now I think I'd take the field.
Looking for JJ to come out with a vengeance 2nd half
Loving how Mason uses his strength to his advantage. Drives, DRAWS contact, and shoots through it.
Did he offer you any snacks?
The was one commentator on tonight's game who killed his own argument realizing that no contender is without an impact big... oops... except the top team in the country and defending champs.
I will say that this is more of the same. We just can't finish against inferior competition. Should've been a thirty-point victory tonight.
No big deal right? Well, when was the last time we had a team who could finish well against inferior competition? Seems like '08 to me. I don't see that with this team. Hate to say it. Not sure exactly what it is, but not making free throws is a big part of it.
