Too bad if Lance leaves. He seems to be a good coach. I would hold no ill will towards the man, KU football is about a failed abortion of an abomination. It’s just too bad we have to put up with such a horrid program or get dumped from a power five conference.
@stoptheflop If Bill retires soon they are obviously going to have to look outside of the program for a head coach. Thankfully I don’t think we have to worry about Bill retiring anytime soon.

@Texas-Hawk-10 WSUs last football L was in the 70s I believe. Now if their basketball team could just get over that mountain.
I’d be ok for them to just add Gonzaga basketball and set the payout at an appropriate level for basketball only. As much as I hate it football drives everything and Gonzaga doesn’t have a football team so their value is considerably less.

KU player fouled Duke guy on a three. He didn’t get the call. Landed on KU players foot, then after a slight delay flailed around on the way to the floor. - missed call (hand slap on three) followed by a flop - would’ve gone Dukes way in the past.
@wissox The K looks better on TV than it is. Hope the new stadium is a gem and not a modern eyesore in a decade.
I thought Bilas did a fine job. Believe me, if I was calling the game, I would not have been nearly so impartial.
I do think Sheyer (sp) is a coach I can dislike as much or more than coach K. Perfect! Hope he has the coaching chops to keep the job. I’m going to enjoy watching KU beat his teams.

Basketball school
It’s early but 5 guys have stood out to me as championship quality pieces.
Jalen Wilson is a do it all player and our go to guy at the moment. When thing get tough the team is going to look for him early in the season.
Gradey Dick is long and more disruptive on the defensive end than I expected. Oh yeah he’s the best shooter on the team as well. Best talent on the team, looks like a pro in the near future.
Earnest Udeh isn’t a 7ft Embiid type, nor is he a 6’10” McCormack type. He’s his own guy - not the tallest or thickest, but he moves like a 3 and seems to be a hard nosed player - KUs best big by a long shot.
Kevin McCullar has been a lock down presence on defense. He is ridiculously strong for someone that moves as well as he does. And can find his shot when needed - not a pure shooter more of a driver.
MJ Rice - the sample size is smallest, but he popped off the screen in his debut. MJ is the most athletic basketball player on the team and scoring comes easy to him. (Self has had some athletes that never figured out basketball this isn’t one of them). He’s aggressive on offense, once he settles into the program I expect better results within the framework of the offense. MJ has the most upside at this point.
And as a bonus 6th DeJuan Harris has already led the Jayhawks to a championship. His defense is on point and his leadership skills are unmatched on the team.
Can’t wait to see how it shakes out.
@stoptheflop KUs 5s appear short to me. We’ll see how they handle a footer. Need this test.
Chiefs brand of football is more like basketball, the Titans play hard nose football. Roughed up the Chiefs - it’s good for them. Need a couple games like this to get ready for the playoffs.
