Another positive (as I see it) about Gradey is his very punchable face. I think he will totally piss off a number of fan bases by being so good and, well, looking like he does.

@rockchalkjayhawk short. I meant he is short. I was expecting more of a true 5. Just had the wrong expectations, that’s all. He’s not skinny or weak. Not super explosive like Hancock - bad example. Doesn’t have t-Rex arms. First impression after the recruiting hype - He just appears shorter than I expected for a “bruising” post. Not a true 5 type. It’s might be better or worse depending on matchup.
@Kcmatt7 Not sure if that’s a rebuttal or just you dropping that you went to the game. Either way - I had never seen him until the game. I was expecting a large bruiser McCormack type, not a Darren Hancock 6’6” post type. That’s all not disparaging the guy.
I was surprised by how small Udeh is. Zuby is the only big that physically looks the part. Clemence can stretch the floor. KJ is a tweener with unreal energy. I’m curious to see how this plays out.
@FarmerJayhawk All talks are a significantly lower payout to Gonzaga due to no football and their reduced earning potential. Crazy that as horrid as KU football has been and likely will continue to be (Lance is great, but he’s at most a 10 year blip) it has more value than basketball.
As for Huggy - Gonzaga played half the big twelve a couple years ago and whooped us all! Lol. They would do fine.

Fun little critters, we have them in Kansas too. I used to catch them a lot as a kid.
Funny creatures - cry blood. Have a diet of ants. Pretty cool. One of my interns caught one and kept it for a few weeks. The he accidentally overfed it while he was making his own meal and the ants killed the horny toad.
@nuleafjhawk More than I would donate to KU football. I only care because it affects basketball. The football team’s suckiness has cost us opportunities. Here’s hoping Lance is a real coach - lets see if he can recruit and more importantly continue winning. 6-6, which is very doable, would be the first non-losing season since ‘08.

After Duke thumped them in Chapel Hill, UNC went 13-3 the rest of the way and looked like a top 10 team during most of that stretch. The big difference between UNC last year and UCLA the year before is UCLA wasn't breaking in a new coach. Cronin had his system in place and UCLA just caught fire during their run. Hubert Davis was still figuring out his roster and the light came on about halfway through the season. 13-3 isn’t that great. If KU goes 13-3 down the stretch it’s expected - every year. UNC is a very good team, top 10 this year no doubt. Until I see someone else play I can’t tell you who is going to be better, but if that UNC team is deservingly ranked #1 the tournament is wide open. They have a low ceiling - KU was a deeply flawed team last season and they beat them. I don’t see this years UNC team winning 6 without a good draw and a bit of luck.

I’m torn on UNC - I kinda feel like they got hot at the right time and aren’t that good. Other times they seem like a solid pick for #1 with nearly the whole team back.

Bo Ryan won multiple national championships at a different D3 school in Wisconsin and nearly won a national championship. A multiple champion at D3 knows how to win and while it's no guarantee for winning a D1 championship, I believe that we have a top notch coach in Lance but others will recognize it as well.

I am truly curious at what stage life is valuable - I’ve never met a two year old that could carry his weight. Maybe at 6-7 when they start to get personality. 10 when they can mow? Certainly not worth much until they can drive, so maybe 15. Yes 15 is when we should start valuing life! That means these grade school shootings are meaningless. Whooo big relief.
I can see both sides - I’m glad there will be no new laws passed. I’m sad people choose abortion as a means of birth control. As messed up as people are we don’t need more - maybe this is good - should tip towards one political side losing numbers.
@Kcmatt7 I don’t think Ingram wanted to be a Chief - he rebuffed them twice. They had to trade with Pittsburgh to nab him the first go around. I’m not sure the Chiefs offer was as good as the dolphins, but IMO it did not seem like he wanted to negotiate much with KC.
