I truly believe this season can still be a winning one (ok, I have to edit this post) - maybe sweet 16 at max. Most of the losses, if not all, have come down to an inability to put points on the board—scoring, scoring, and more scoring. Defense is crucial, no doubt, but if you can't match hot three-point shooting shot for shot, then you have to make up for it with dominance on the other end. Winning starts with finding a way to keep up and take control.
If KJ can't do that, insert Flo - throws a bunch of lobs, which I haven't seen much at all when he's on the floor. Such a waste of talent, right?

I hear ya. That's why he needs minutes. We've seen KJ lost ball just as much. One thing coaching staff never corrects, his arms are always hanging instead of anticipate passes. Flo is born ready... to score. But yeah, I guess he needs to be able to protect ball in possession and learn how to lock down in the paint, etc..

I don't care if everyone else is leaving, but Flo must not go.

Gotta bump this thread because this kid is the reason KU games are still must-watch for me! 🏀🔥 He’s a wizard at PG, pulling off every trick in the book to score or set up easy buckets. Head fakes, shot fakes, stepback 3s, sidestep 3s—you name it, he’s got it. He’s got almost the full offensive bag every PG dreams of having, and that’s why I can’t stop watching this team!

@SlimShaddy54 #100 and won ugly.. but it's a good confidence building for the team and HC. Team will win double digits again against the Yutees before getting drained by BYU's 3s. I really want to see Flory deployed on the perimeter. That's the only answer to guard those 3s.

@kuballin10 Nah, not just because of the big three, I’d say. A great coach will be able to model plays based on each player's capability, instead of forcing them to play his way. That's what we're seeing night in and night out.
Flory will flourish had he played in teams like Miami, or MSU. There's something really wrong when you see transfers' numbers go down across the board. The system is bad. Period.

Honestly, there are probably a ton of colleges out there with a “win or walk” contract: if the head coach doesn’t haul in a national championship within eight years or at least crash two Final Fours, he’s getting the boot. No pressure, coach! 😆
